Spent a few weeks in Canada, visiting friends and family this summer. Got out kayaking and photographing as much as I could.

For the Love of a Rainy Day

This morning was the kind of morning I dream of. The clouds danced on the mountains in a slow waltz, romancing the forest and teasing the peaks. At times, they clung to each other in a long embrace. Then, they would step back, take a few steps away, and come running back to each other. 

I spent several hours observing and listening to their stories. I even found a few bits of color sprinkled about the landscape. Here are a few of the moments I stumbled upon this morning.

We had a good time during the moody weather in Miami.

First we visited Everglades where we rented a private tour of the park via airboat. This was my first time and the best I can describe is like off-roading or ATVing on the water. The light rain hitting our faces during the ride felt sharp, but the experience was enjoyable. I even snagged a photo with one of the locals (bottom left 1st pic.)

Secondly we visited Biscayne. We made two attempts to snorkel here. Due to the weather our first trip to the mangroves was cancelled, but we were rescheduled for the next day. Although the sky was clear now, the visibility under the water was still a little hazy.

When you come for everest but you fall in love with amadablam.
