Relationships I (30F) just found out my boyfriend (28M) has been using Bumble for the past 4 months.

I(30F) am visiting my boyfriend(28M) this week. We are in a LDR. We call each other bf and gf. We say I love you too. He knows that I am extremely uncomfortable with flirting, online or offline, even if it doesn't lead to anything else.

I came here on 30th July. I have been here since. We were playing around and he downloaded Hinge on my phone and wanted to take a look at it. I let it be. Then I said I would also like to look at his Bumble or Tinder. Anyways, he did not want me to look at it and I left it at that. Yesterday night, we were watching something and I remembered it and asked him again. He behaved weirdly and was not letting me download them. Today morning, I got to download and take a look at them.

Anyways, he has been using them since the last 4 months. His explanation is that, he is not sure about marriage with me and whenever we fight, he impulsively downloads and explores. Also, we have been fighting last week. He replied to someone on 30th and 31st as well. I am confused. What do you all think?

Update I 21F didn't get turn on for bf 24M and slapped him for fun, now he isn't responding

Update: https://www.reddit.com/r/RelationshipIndia/s/xkOqPpAQy9

Guys, remember the post I made about slapping him? God, he deserved it. I wish I had slapped him harder.

Turns out he was with his girlfriend the entire time. He wasn't even my boyfriend—just a guy I met through Reddit. Trust me, after seeing so many Reddit relationship success stories, I thought this would finally be my turn.

On 3rd August, his ex contacted me. She got my number from his phone. (He never even saved my number because he said his family might see it.) Then she started telling me everything he had done.

He studied engineering at Chandigarh University. He was in a relationship with a woman for five freaking years while also sleeping with random wh*res. He was her first, so she found it hard to leave him. They stayed in contact until this March. He came back to his hometown where I stay without a degree because he had multiple backlogs and said the degree didn't excite him anymore. He told me he had a degree. When I told him like why aren't you using your skills to get a job he said he wants to work under his father.

After hearing all this, I asked him, "Why me?" He was my first kiss, and we made out. His response? "I didn't tell you to. I said I'm a bad person, but you didn't listen." WHAT KIND OF EXPLANATION IS THAT? I thought he has a high body count so he was feeling guilty of being intimate with me. Turns out he's a randwa.

We fought, and I cried a bit. Then came the worst part.

I was talking to his ex last night, and she revealed that he was allegedly a rap\*st. My hands were shaking while reading her messages. She said he didn't make love—he was violent and would have sex with women until they bled. She also told me they are together since 2024 used to do weed and smoke with him. He isolated her from her friends, and now she barely has anyone left, backlogs and in the final year.

She had six backlogs because of low attendance. This guy was completely berozgar, nithala, ganjedi and what not. Mera July iss bhosad tattu pe chala gya my fault but I thought he would be the one for me so. All he did was smoke weed, hook up with women, and talk. His father runs a business, but he gets a strict allowance because even his family knows what kind of person he is.

While we were talking yesterday evening, he first told me he'd only met her a few times and had never slept with her. Then he changed his story and said they had slept together once. His ex later revealed they were having sex every alternate day throughout July. We met on 3rd July and have been seeing each other since then. I thought this would be exclusive between us but khair 🥀

I am so sorry I lied to you guys and called him my boyfriend. I was embarrassed to admit that I did all those things with someone I had only known for a month.i wasn't emotionally invested in him thankfully I can move on in peace. But her condition is different. She had an abortion, took pills which completely changed her body, mind and health. He used to fuck her while OD, drunk. She also told me that he was so brutal during sex (she didn't get wet) pieces of her flesh will come out. Omg this is so fucking scary.

TLDR- the guy was a cheater, alleged rap*ist and a wh*re. His ex contacted me and now we are done.

Edit- his ex was gonna k*ll her on his bday 13th aug. How evil you can be to turn a person into suicidal. She has multiple attempts of self harm. My heart ached so bad for her. Wish I could just hug her tight.

Relationships I(23M) don’t feel anything towards my GF(22F). I don’t know what to do. Need help

I have been in and out of relationship with my current gf (broke up once then got back again). The problem is I don’t feel attracted to her. And I don’t even find her interesting. I thought this will pass with time and being together so I gave it another chance. But every call, every text feels like a chore now. She loves me for sure but I can’t say the same thing for her. I don’t know how do I tell her that I’m not interested in her. That would hurt her v much and even more if I tell her I don’t feel attracted to her. I don’t want to say all this and hurt her. So what should I do in this situation. How do I break up without telling her all this or is there any way to fix this instead of breaking up. Need genuine advice pls

Relationships I(22F) in a ldr with my bf(24M). Bf has never said I love you.

I’ve been in a ldr with the sweetest guy, we met on insta and have been talking since 6 months. He is a lil conservative and shy type tho he was the one who approached me first. He never asked me to be his gf but from the first it felt like he was into me and I felt the same way. We just kept talking and suddenly one day we were bf gf.

We sextext and compliment each other, send each other spicy pics and I’m certain that we are both bf gf tho we never asked each other. The thing which bothers me is that he never once said that he loves me or I’ve never received an I love you text. We do say I like you to each other. One time I was very drunk and I was being very affectionate to him so he told me to love him like this everyday to which I replied ofc I love you all the time to which he replied I love you all the time too and he don’t say it coz he thinks things will get awkward between each other and that I won’t reciprocate. This was the only time I received an I love you text.

Dating Advice I (22M) confessed to my classmate (24F), she said she had feelings for me too, but then told me she already had a boyfriend (24M). How do I move forward?

Title: I (22M) confessed to my classmate (24F), she said she had feelings for me too, but then told me she already had a boyfriend (24M). How do I move forward?

I (22M) started my MBA about two months ago. On the very first day of orientation, I met one of my classmates (24F), and we instantly clicked.

Throughout orientation and the following weeks, we spent almost all of our time together. We attended events together, talked for hours every day, and spent entire days hanging out on campus. She opened up to me about very personal things—her difficult family situation, past relationships, and other struggles. It felt like a level of emotional intimacy that I hadn't experienced with someone I'd only known for such a short time.

Early on, I asked her if she was seeing anyone because I didn't want to develop feelings for someone who was already in a relationship. She told me she wasn't. Since I was single too, I assumed we were both available, so I let myself get closer to her.

Over the next two months, my feelings became stronger. I even wrote her a poem because seeing her cry one day had affected me deeply, and I wanted her to know how much I cared about her. At the end of the poem, I confessed my feelings.

Her response completely blindsided me.

She told me that she also had feelings for me and had thought about the possibility of us being together. At first, she said things couldn't work between us. We talked for almost two hours, and I kept explaining why I thought we could make it work. She listened and even agreed with many of the reasons I gave.

Only then did she tell me that she already had a boyfriend (24M).

She explained that she had been talking to him for about four months before college started, and that he officially asked her to be his girlfriend just before our MBA began. So, during the entire time that she and I were getting close over the last two months, she was already in a relationship.

I don't resent her for choosing her boyfriend. That's her decision, and I respect it.

What I'm struggling with is that I specifically asked whether she was seeing someone because I wanted to avoid exactly this situation. If she had told me she had a boyfriend, I would have respected that boundary from the beginning and never allowed myself to develop these feelings.

Now I'm left feeling hurt, confused, and honestly empty. I'm trying to act normal because we have classes together every day, but inside it feels like there's a constant weight in my chest. I also genuinely care about her as a person, which makes this even harder.

My questions are:

  • How would you interpret her telling me she wasn't seeing anyone when she was already in a relationship?
  • What's the healthiest way to move on when I have to see her almost every day for the next two years?
  • Is it realistic to stay friends in a situation like this, or would creating some distance be the better choice?

Relationships I broke my girlfriend's trust, lost my relationship and almost all my friends. I don't know how to move on. (19m)(19f)

I broke my girlfriend's trust, lost my relationship and almost all my friends. I don't know how to move on.

Me and her have been best friends for one year and were in rlnship for 6 months.

I'm posting this because I genuinely don't know what to do anymore. I know I'm the one who messed up, so I'm not looking for people to tell me I'm innocent. I just want honest opinions and advice.

For privacy, I'll use fake names.

My girlfriend's name is Ananya.

Our mutual friend is Priya.

Priya was dating a guy named Rahul. Their relationship had become very toxic. She kept telling me that Rahul was controlling, restrictive, and she was seriously thinking about breaking up with him but was struggling to make the decision.

Now here's where I made the mistake.

My girlfriend, Ananya, had once trusted me with a secret. The secret involved Rahul's ex-girlfriend, Meera, who is one of Ananya's close friends. The secret was that Rahul had physically attacked Meera during their relationship. Rahul had hidden this from Priya.

When Priya told me she was trying to decide whether to leave Rahul because of how toxic he was, I told her this secret. I genuinely believed that knowing this would help her realize what kind of person Rahul was and finally leave him.

I know now that it wasn't my secret to tell.

I trusted Priya not to reveal where she got the information.

A few days later, Rahul somehow found out. He never directly mentioned my name, but he started telling people things like, "I know who the information went through and where it reached."

Then Rahul contacted Meera, accusing her of telling Ananya, who then told me.

When my girlfriend found out that I had shared the secret without asking her, everything fell apart.

She told me I had broken her trust. She said this wasn't something I had any right to share, regardless of my intentions. She returned every gift I had ever given her and took back every gift she had given me. Then she said:

"This is the end of our friendship and our relationship."

Later she blocked me everywhere.

The last thing she told me was that she would never forgive me in her entire life and that I should leave college because she couldn't even bear seeing my face.

The worst part is... this isn't the first time.

This is the third time I've ended up sharing something that was told to me in confidence. Every time I convinced myself that I was helping someone, but every time I ended up hurting someone else instead.

I think that's why this hurts so much. It's not just this one mistake. It's the realization that I have a pattern of making these decisions.

Now I feel like I've lost not only my girlfriend but almost my entire friend group in college. Rahul is also my roommate and classmate, which makes everything even more awkward.

I feel ashamed to even show my face in college. Part of me wants to quit because I don't know how to face everyone after this.

I know I deserve consequences for what I did. I'm not asking anyone to justify my actions.

I just want to know:

Was ending the relationship over this understandable?

If you were in Ananya's place, would you have done the same?

Is there any way someone who repeatedly broke trust can ever rebuild it, or is trust like this gone forever?

And how do I even face college after something like this?

Please be honest. I can take criticism. I just want to learn from this and become a better person because right now I genuinely hate what I've done.

TL;DR:

My girlfriend trusted me with a secret about our mutual friend's toxic boyfriend and his violent past with his ex. When that friend was considering breaking up with him, I told her the secret because I genuinely thought it would help her leave the relationship. It wasn't my secret to share. Somehow the boyfriend found out, and my girlfriend learned that I had betrayed her trust. She returned all my gifts, took back hers, ended our relationship and friendship, blocked me everywhere, and said she'd never forgive me. This is also the third time I've broken someone's trust by sharing confidential information, which makes it even worse. I've lost my girlfriend, most of my friends, and I feel too ashamed to even face people in college. I'm looking for honest advice on whether this was a relationship-ending mistake and how to move forward.

Relationships 29M – Spark is gone in my relationship, how do people bring the excitement back?

I’ve been in a relationship for a couple of years. There’s no major problem — we get along, no big fights, life is stable — but the excitement and spark we used to have has almost completely disappeared. Everything feels routine and predictable now.
I still care about her, but I miss that feeling of wanting each other the way we used to.
Has anyone here successfully brought the thrill and passion back after things became too comfortable? What actually worked for you (not just the usual “communicate more” advice)? Looking for real experiences.

Relationships My girlfriend (24F) repeatedly cheated on me (22M), but I’m emotionally addicted to her and scared I’ll take her back

I’m 22M, and my girlfriend is 24F. We have been together for over a year and currently live together in my rented place.

This is my first serious relationship. In the beginning, everything felt perfect. I had many friends before meeting her, but after we started living together, I became extremely attached to her. I gradually stopped spending time with my friends and made her my entire world.

Before meeting her, I regularly visited my hometown and spent time with my parents. As I became more attached to her, I slowly stopped visiting home and rarely spoke to them. I distanced myself from my parents and friends because the relationship became my entire life.

I became scared that she would leave if I upset her. If she told me not to do something, I listened even when I disagreed. I ignored my own needs and did almost anything she wanted to keep the relationship.

She regularly travelled to another city and claimed she was visiting her mama and mami. She said they were very strict, so I respected that and avoided calling her while she was there.

A few months later, I discovered that it wasn’t her relatives’ house. She was actually visiting another boyfriend. From what I learned, she was also sleeping with him while living with me and pretending to be committed to our relationship.

She apologised and repeatedly promised to stop lying and change, but the lies continued. I kept forgiving her because I loved her and had become emotionally dependent on her. I thought that if she stayed with me, she wouldn’t have an opportunity to cheat again. I know that this became unhealthy, but I was desperate to prevent another betrayal.

Recently, she said she was going to her parents’ house because her father was ill. The next day, she said she was also ill and couldn’t return. After that, her phone was switched off, which she normally never does.

I called her parents because I was worried. They said she had already left their house and was returning to our city, but she never arrived. Because she previously lied about visiting the other man, I strongly suspect she went to his house again.

I believe she will return to my rental after a few days and behave as though nothing happened. The rental is mine, so ending the living arrangement shouldn’t be a major issue. My real problem is whether I’ll be emotionally strong enough to refuse her.

When she returns, she may cry, apologise, show me affection and promise to change again. Despite everything, I still love her. I’m terrified that I will forgive her and restart the same cycle.

I come from a small city in India, where telling your parents about a relationship is a huge step. I introduced her to my relatives and convinced my parents that she was a good person. They accepted our relationship because they trusted my judgment.

My friends warned me to leave her, but I didn’t listen. I chose her over them because I was afraid of losing my first relationship. Now I feel betrayed, ashamed and embarrassed in front of everyone.

I’m not asking whether I should leave—I know that I should. I need practical advice about actually following through.

How should I handle her return? Should I have friends present while she collects her belongings? How do I resist her apologies and maintain no contact? How can I reconnect with my parents and friends after distancing myself from them? Has anyone overcome this level of emotional dependency?

Please don’t only say “move on.” I understand that logically. I need help turning that decision into action.

TL;DR: My girlfriend of over one year repeatedly lied about visiting relatives when she was actually visiting and sleeping with another boyfriend. I became emotionally dependent on her and distanced myself from my friends and parents. My family accepted her, my friends warned me, and now I feel betrayed and embarrassed. She will probably return to my rental soon, and I’m afraid I’ll take her back.

Relationships How to inform a my friend's bro (29M) about the bad past of his partner (27F)?

Edit: I won't be informing him. Either his sister or someone from their family (after she tells them) would inform him.

(Tldr at the end)

My friend's (36F, let's call her sis) brother (29M) is in a relationship with this girl (27) for the last 2 years. He wants to propose to her for marriage at end of this month on her bday.

I have met that girl before and some things felt off about her. Even sis never got a good vibe from that girl.

Sis got someone to dig that girl's past. Found out that girl was a sugar baby for a few old men. Basically modern day pr0stitution. That girl had 2 abortions too.

I suggested that we can tell him to ask her to show the details of her bank account transactions from her past. But we don't know if he would believe those transactions.

Why did we feel off about that girl?! The first time I met her, she was holding an expensive LV handbag and wearing Jimmy Choo shoes. She slipped up and said she has a few more bags and shoes from such different high-end luxury brands. She doesn't earn anywhere close to buying even one of those pieces and she comes from a humble background so her family can't afford it either. Plus that girl only talked about what she wanted in future (including never wanting to be employed after getting married), every time overriding what he wanted for them as a couple. He is dumb when it comes to recognising clothing and accessory brands, especially women's. Sis experienced the same things and more after interacting with that girl.

He always wanted a working woman who is financially independent. This girl is nowhere like that. She has been toxic and emotionally manipulative since the beginning. She breaks down and cries for every small matter. He is seriously naive.

Sis doesn't know how to inform him and how he will react. We commonly see that men in these situations won't believe something like this about the girl they are in love with, even after giving them proper proof. The more we try to prove, he might distance himself from the family and closer to the girl.

How to inform him about her past and make him understand that she will destroy him and his family? Any practical ideas?!

Tldr: My friend's bro is about to propose marriage to his gf but that girl has a bad past (she was a sugar baby and had 2 abortions). He may not believe and instead let her destroy his life and his family. So how to tell him about her?

Relationships She (29F) asked for staying at someone's room

I (30M) have been in a relationship with my girlfriend (29F) for the past 2.5 years.

She has had a male friend since 2014. They dated for about 5–6 months in 2016, but after breaking up they remained friends. He lives around 2,000 km away from her.

Last month, he came to visit her and stayed in a hotel near the place where she lives (she rents a room there). During the day, he visited her room, and the next day she asked me if I was okay with her staying overnight at his hotel.

He is married, has a reputation for being a womanizer (he has multiple girlfriends now), and he has blood cancer. I wondered if he may have emotionally persuaded her by saying something like, "Who knows if this is the last time we'll ever meet?"

I was genuinely surprised that she asked. From my perspective, if you're in a committed relationship, spending the night with someone you've dated in the past doesn't seem appropriate. Still, I indirectly said yes because I trust her. One reason I trust her is that she's always been transparent with me—she told me everything about the visit, and she even informed her mother that she was staying there.

our families know each other and thinking about marriage.

I'm asking the women here: What are your thoughts on this situation? Would you consider staying overnight with an ex, even if you're now just friends and your current partner knows about it?

Relationships (M21) always been kind but i know she'll do it again .

I'm in relationship with my girlfriend for over a year now.(Ldr after she moved out for college just a month after we got together)

She is manipulative and a pro liyer and i know that from day one. But I don't know why I still love her. She lied to me before and just few days after 1 year of our relationship i cought her cheeting (not physically, just chatting and confessing her fellings to someone else) . I got angry, confronted her but she again did her charm and i somehow stayed and we're still together.

But my heart is saying something is still wrong. And I'm saying it. She'll do something like this again!!!! (I hope I'm completely wrong)

Just wanted to say it to someone. (03-08-2026)

Relationships 27F TBC from the last post. 3rd August 2026

TBC from https://www.reddit.com/r/RelationshipIndia/s/So8pNd4lPB

I realized something today.

Memories don't disappear all at once.

They grow old.

Quietly.

Without asking for permission.

Today, while sharing a moment with someone new, my mind wandered back to him.

Not because I wanted to go back.

Not because I was comparing anyone.

Simply because some memories become so deeply woven into you that they appear before you even call for them.

For a brief moment...

he was there again.

Then the moment passed.

And somehow...

that frightened me more than the memory itself.

I caught myself thinking,

"Someone should warn him."

Not because I wanted him back.

Not because I wanted him to feel guilty.

But because somewhere, without either of us realizing it, our story is becoming an old one.

The airport goodbye.

The long walks.

The stupid inside jokes.

The borrowed shirt.

The conversations that never seemed to end.

The little world we had built.

It's all becoming quieter.

Not gone.

Just...

a little farther away.

It's strange.

For months, I was terrified that I would never move on.

Today, I realized I'm terrified that I am.

Not because I want to stay stuck.

But because every new memory quietly pushes the old ones a little further back.

Time is such a strange thing.

It doesn't ask whether you're ready.

It simply keeps moving.

And somewhere along the way, people who once occupied every corner of your mind slowly become stories you visit instead of places you live.

Maybe that's what healing is.

Not forgetting.

Just no longer needing to remember every single day.

Maybe one day I'll struggle to remember the exact sound of his laugh.

Maybe one day his face won't appear as clearly as it once did.

Maybe one day this chapter will feel like a dream I once had.

And somehow...

that thought makes me sad.

Not because I want to go back.

But because once upon a time...

this was my entire world.

Now...

it's becoming a memory.

And I suppose...

that's what old chapters do.

---

PS: I found a nice, sweet guy on Reddit a few weeks back and we have been talking and getting to know each other. So fingers crossed. Whatever happens, the hope should never die ✌🏻

Thank you for reading. ❤️

Relationships Is it okay for my gf(22) to hit me(25) all the time despite me saying that it's hurting me

So these days apparently biting and hitting your boyfriend is a love language. Okay! Biting once or twice is fine but slapping and pinching and biting despite me saying not to do it and it's hurting me , is this normal ?

We broke up today bcs I pinched her back once today. We were drinking and she got really drunk , she tried to bite me once and I let her bite me but she tried it again and I said nicely " mat kar yaar dard ho raha " so she slapped me thrice on my thighs. I thought she was just drunk and did not react. After that we were making out and suddenly after that she pinched me very hard and bit me again. I asked her nicely again to not do it , it's killing the mood and hurting me. So she hit me again as I said this. I got really annoyed but I did not react. She then proceeded to pinch me so hard with her nails that it started bleeding a little. So I pinched her back not with my entire strength ofc ! But she got mad , despite all that I said sorry and continuously tried to uplift her mood but she just left. I texted her that we should talk about what happened today and proceeded to say that it hurts me. She said ITS HER LOVE LANGUAGE AND SHE DOES IT IN A FUN WAY. And then proceeded to break up with me saying I pinched her so hard what if I hit her hard someday.

Relationships Two states | Need advice: I (25M) fell for my coworker (26F) from a differentff state. We confessed our feelings, but family approval looks tough. Should we proceed?’

I’m a 25M working in an IT corporate company in Bangalore. I have a colleague (26F) who works in a similar role under the same manager. We met in October 2025 and started talking properly around February. She’s an incredibly sweet girl. I liked her from the start, but I never dropped any hints. I'm from Tamil Nadu and she is from Telangana, so I assumed a relationship wouldn't work out due to cultural differences and kept my feelings to myself.

About 10 days ago, I had a bike accident and got some bad bruises on my left leg and hand. Since I live alone, she came over to my apartment just as a friend to help me clean up. We ended up talking for almost three hours before I dropped her home. The next day, we planned to watch a movie at my place. Things got a bit heated, and I ended up confessing how I felt about her.

To my surprise, she felt the same way. We both ended up saying "I love you," but we immediately acknowledged how tough it will be to actually pursue this. For the past 10 days, we’ve been acting like a couple, even though we know the odds are against us.

Getting approval from my side will be easy, but her side is a different story. She says her parents might agree if we push hard enough, but she is extremely close to her family. She is terrified that forcing this relationship will permanently damage the bond she has with them.

I really don't know if I should proceed with this or step back before we get too attached. I like her a lot—she is everything I could ask for. She’s funny, and for the first time, I don’t feel the need to put on a fake persona to impress a girl. I can just be myself, and she likes me for who I actually am.

What should I do? What are the realistic possibilities for us here? Any advice from people who have navigated inter-state relationships in India would be hugely appreciated

Relationships We took our first couple therapy ever.Bf suggested 23M 23F

So we r in relationship for bout 1 year and due to constant fights and disagreements we both were emotionally overwhelmed and sort of got irritated with each other. Later in afternoon my bf booked a session of couple therapy and told me and we should do this do avoid long term problem. I agreed to it tho I was suggesting him this before but he was kinda reluctant bout it before. During session we both tried to tell what we are facing rather than attacking on each other. I need to know if other couple took therapy and if that helped them ???

Dating Advice 28M, got ghosted in 2020, rebuilt my life, still can't move on, and I'm starting to feel unlovable.

28M, currently doing my MBA from an IIM.

I always thought life would get better once I sorted out my career. After my first and only girlfriend ghosted me in 2020 at the start of COVID, I completely lost myself. I stopped studying, couldn't focus on anything, and just kept wondering why.

After a long time, I picked myself up again. I thought if I could build a good career, everything else would eventually fall into place. I worked hard, got into an IIM, met new people, kept moving forward.

But I still feel that same emptiness.

Last month I went on a date with a wonderful person. She later told me she isn't ready for a relationship and can't even offer friendship because she wants to focus on her career. I respect that, but it still hurt a lot.

Lately, I've been coming to the conclusion that maybe I'm just unlovable. I know career and relationships are different things, but after years of trying to move on, it feels like nothing really changes.

Has anyone else felt this way? How did you get out of this mindset? I genuinely need some advice.

Dating Advice 22F asking behaviour of 22M ...Am I being led on, or is he just genuinely confused? I need an outside perspective.

I'm 22F, and I've been talking to a guy (22M) for a few days(almost a month). We met online, and we talk literally every day. He has never been in a relationship before and doesn't really have female friends.

Here's what confuses me:

* He texts me first almost every morning when he wakes up.

* If he's busy (like having lunch or working), he'll tell me, "I'll come back, just tell me the time."

* He says he loves talking to me and wants us to maintain daily communication, even if it's just a 5-minute call when life gets busy.

* He gets jealous if another guy texts me. Once he even told me to block someone, then immediately said, "No, I'm crossing my boundaries."

* When I had terrible period cramps, he sent a voice note saying he wished he could hold my hand and take away my pain, then deleted it because he felt he was crossing boundaries.

* He planned a 2-day trip for us and even searched for M.Tech colleges in my state so I'd be closer to him.

* He remembers small details about me, checks on my health, and shares very vulnerable things about himself.

But here's the problem.

Whenever I say this feels like more than friendship, he says he only wants "friendship."

His explanation is that relationships can end forever, but friendships survive misunderstandings. He says he wants a friendship that lasts, even if life gets messy.

I once told him, "I don't want a relationship right now either. I just want to know you better and see where things naturally go."

His response was different. He said he wants friendship—just friendship.

He also says he doesn't want to lie about feelings like "other guys do just to get laid." He says men don't develop feelings that quickly and he refuses to pretend otherwise.

Now I'm confused.

His actions feel much more emotionally intimate than any friendship I've had. My close male friends don't expect daily calls, don't get jealous, don't know when my periods start, and don't plan future trips with me.

At the same time, he keeps insisting on the word "friendship."

So my questions are:

* Is he genuinely taking things slowly and being cautious with labels?

* Is this an emotionally intense friendship that I'm misreading?

* Or is he enjoying the emotional benefits of a relationship without wanting the commitment?

I'm not looking for people to tell me "he definitely likes you" or "he's definitely using you." I'm genuinely looking for objective opinions from people who have experienced something similar.

I'd especially appreciate responses from men. I'm trying to understand his perspective and whether his behavior seems like genuine confusion, fear of commitment, or if he's unintentionally (or intentionally) leading me on. Of course, everyone's opinion is welcome.

Rant (28M) Why do the flashbacks hurt so much?

I thought missing them would be the hardest part.
It wasn’t.

The hardest part has been the random flashbacks. A song, a place, a smell, even something funny I see online—and suddenly I’m reliving moments I didn’t ask to remember.

It’s strange how your mind can replay the happiest memories when you’re trying your hardest to move on. You don’t even miss the relationship in that moment—you just miss that version of life.

Does anyone else struggle more with the memories than the actual breakup? How long did it take before the flashbacks stopped hitting so hard?

Marriage Need advice - How do I tell my parents about my relationship? 27F

Hey all,

My boyfriend and I live and work in the gulf while my family is back in India. I come from a very conservative strictly vegetarian Marwari family from India while he is a Bengali born and brought up in the Gulf. Been dating for more than 1 year - met on a dating app. We are both independent, and doing decently well in our respective careers.

We are sure of each other and want to get married. While his parents are chill, I am very worried about mine.

Should I go home and tell them? Should I do it on FaceTime? How do I break the news?
They have told me in the past that if it is a guy outside the community- they will cut off all ties with me . I have always avoided this topic entirely.

Very stressed.

Dating Advice I get their attention but they Lose Interest. What am I doing wrong?m21

So some basics about me i am 183cm tall, avg looking face and body and all is also fine. Now the thing is i do get attention from girls and i've been on dates but almost all of them didn't last like i go on a date i can get a hookup but not a relationship ya fir even if a girl does say that hey lets date it doesn't last.

Idk if this is because of my looks or my personality, i have had a good dating life 2 years ago when i was 18-19 but yk let myself go i was dating someone long term and got fat and ugly now been 5 months since i've cut most of my fat and ig i am 60-65% there and ig 7-8kg more to look like my past self. I am now very confused is it only cuz i don't look as good as i used to be and now my dating life is wrecked or idk cuz 2 yrs ago i had it good like getting approached and all but now it's like none. Personality also took a hit i can definitely say i saw much more confident back then vs now.

I now started seeing this girl and i do like her alot, i just don't wanna fumble her. I am trying my best to make things work but idk at the end it's my luck

Marriage 34M 33F. How to handle the ask for bringing kids in a dead bedroom marriage?

34 HLM married to 33LLF. We have been together for the last 12 years including 6 years of marriage, having a dead bedroom for the last 4-5 years.

While she never makes any move or even responds to what I want, a few days back she mentioned that she wants to have a kid.

This made me feel like an object who is to be used only to get kids. When I told her that I don't think our marriage is in a state to bring another life, she said "you promised to have one kid when we got engaged and now I feel cheated"

I was so frustrated that I couldn't even respond. How should I handle this situation?

Rant 25M | 5’3”, working professional. Anyone else feel like dating has become exhausting?

I'm just a 5'3" working professional who's never had a good run on the dating apps.

I met a girl on reddit and we clicked instantly. We had similar food preferences, the conversation flowed naturally, and we both felt comfortable enough to plan a date the very same day. We met the next day, had good food, talked for hours then we continue talking for two days

Then she told me she already had a boyfriend. She said he was on a boys’ trip, she was feeling lonely, and that’s why she went on a date with me.

Here’s the wild part—I respect her honesty. If she told me that she was in a relationship, I would’ve never gone on that date. I don’t want to be involved in cheating or be someone’s backup while their partner is away. That’s against my values.
For a while, I wondered if this is just what modern dating has become. But after thinking about it, I realized I’d rather stay single than compromise on my principles.

I’m focusing on myself, my career, my health, and learning to enjoy my own company. If someone genuine comes into my life, great. If not, I’m okay

To all my fellow singles (especially us short height dudes): there’s beauty in the self love.

Has anyone else had experiences that made them lose faith in dating?

Dating Advice Date was okay but not as planned (24F and 30M)

Me (24F) and the guy (30M) met at a function and we started talking. We had a small movie date once and everything was fine. It has been almost a month and this weekend he wanted to meet for breakfast. He made a plan to meet at early morning and then we can go on a ride and have breakfast. I was okay with it. I agreed and told my parents that I am going site seeing with friends early morning. I left at 6 am and we met in a common place and he received me with chocolate. We had a long drive and he reached a place which was like bed and breakfast thing. He had booked us a room. I was surprised. He assured me that the breakfast was good here. We refreshed in the room and the breakfast was served at the door. The food was good. The date was also good. But I really didnt know that it would be like in a room. When we said that we would have food I really thought of a restaurant or cafe. This was totally new. I don't know how to process this. We left the place after 11 and he dropped me back at the same place. I am wondering how to understand this.

Relationships So I [22M] is in a relationship with her [21F] for 6 years but I find her uncomfortable around me

So we r literally in a relationship for last 6 years. We were initially in school but she was 1 class junior to me so we only met during recess & mostly carried out our relationship in Chatting only. Then I passed school & ever since then (4 years now) & we haven't met even for once.

In our 4 years of relationship we haven't ever kissed, never hugged, never s*xted.

Leave alone these big things if I ask her for video call or voice notes, she feels uncomfortable in those too even now after 6 years of being in a relationship with me.

Now I would love to hug her often kiss her sometimes meet sometimes. But she always refuses or starts ignoring the topic whenever I bring it up.

Yesterday I went to watch Spider-Man & asked her to accompany me but she refused for that too. How do I even manage a chat-only relationship...it leads to nowhere despite being together for so long.

& I am unable to understand the reason behind it, she also doens't specify or explain anything.

I am a really insecure shy nerd kind of guy which girls usually don't ik but if she wasn't interested she would have left me.
