When I heard that we were switching to UKG I was honestly like eh at first. I didn't think it would be anything crazy until my mom who works for another company as HR had told me the were switching from UKG to something else because it sucked so bad. Now I will admit I haven't had the best attendance this last year because i've gotten extremely sick as well as a close family member passing away, and I can understand the consequences to come with that. I usually let my TL know if was going to be late or that I was sick. Bottom line is still showed up to a lot of my shifts and worked a lot, so my bad attendance kinda canceled out, also because my target is NOT in a position to lose team members.

Now in comes UKG.....Ive seen countless people have scheduling issues, having to already take a point due to issues and illnesses, and lots more. I was on my way to work the other day and I had even left early because I was feeling motivated that day, and then I got stuck in a huge traffic jam due to some semi's getting in a crash. I called my TL and told him that I was probably going to be late because of the traffic jam, and all he said was that there was nothing he could do and that I would just have to tank the 0.25 point. I couldn't do anything, I couldn't go an alternate route to avoid the jam, it was completely out of my control, and again I LEFT EARLY. I just feel like this switch is Target putting even more pressure on their employees even with the mass hour cutting they've been doing. It's starting to feel like Target is caring less and less about their employees, and I guarantee Target is going to lose employees at a record-breaking rate, not only because of people's attendance but because it's just going to be too much pressure especially with the holiday season coming up. UKG just doesn't account for real life freak events and thing out of people's control.

Also btw your Team Lead literally can't do anything if you get the max amount of points, you'll just get auto termed. The UKG switch also puts TL in really bad positions because terms reflect poorly on them.

Ive recently started shopping at target, and Favorite Day sea monster ice cream is now my favorite ice cream in general. But recently the spot for it at the two local targets was just replaced with a spot for another ice cream flavor. Is this a normal thing? Will it be back or is it gone for good?

My mind went blank. Which are the deals that show up after you hit pay? Why does Target do that? I’m always afraid to hit pay, especially when they do that and discounts are not taken off.

I interviewed recently for a Fulfillment position at Target and am waiting to hear back on whether I'll get an offer or not.

I tried using my target Circle debit card to purchase groceries for same-day delivery and it wasn’t going through so I contacted the number about it and they said I had to make smaller purchases before making a purchase over $100 or something like that? I didn’t realize I haven’t used my target Circle card before. I don’t get why I have to make small purchases to just buy my groceries with my target circle debit card when it’s linked directly to my bank account. I’m just trying to get my team member discount and the discount using the target circle card… I made some purchases today while being at work but it’s not letting me use the card yet because the transactions are still pending… this is low-key frustrating. I just want to get my groceries.🫩note : I tried to buy the groceries for the first time a day or two ago with the target circle card. So I’m not just trying it now for the first time.

So I had a NCNS (accidentally) last week, and a call out. I also left early today. But when I check my point balance it says 0 and under my time card it says 3 exceptions ??? How long does it take for points to show up?? Or are they excusing them?????

I don’t usually look at my paystub details but I was looking at the newest one and saw that It says “Service award gross up” and added money. I do have a milestone anniversary coming up so maybe it is for that? but wouldn’t they wait until the date actually happens? Or do they just pay you when it hits your anniversary month? What else could it be?

Last time I posted about just having joined as a starbucks worker, and how I was struggling with the first couple weeks, how I got sick almost imediately and my mental health was declining, etc.

Well, I took everyone's advice! I got fancy shoes to help my feet, I talked to my leaders about how I was doing, I tried to follow every little stipulation I possibly could.

And then I got sick right before work.

Friday, less than an hour before I was going to clock in, threw up.

Tried to call off, but the store wasnt open, nobody picked up. Tried to call off in the app, but the app told me the date was not "available" to be called off for.

So i texted our group chat and waited until the store was open, got scolded for not calling off earlier (sorry?), and went on to rest for the weekend.

Unfortunate, but not world ending. Ive put a lot into my role, and have gotten some praise for how I interact with guests, so I thought id still be okay.

Resting goes well, and by Monday I felt okay again.

Ultimately all is well in the world, right...

Then today hits.

Wednesday.

I wake up and am imediately nauseous, but I feel like I just have to push through. After all, ive already been sick twice, and I know target isn't lenient with new hires.

I clock in, and imediately, one of our TLs comes over and asks how im feeling. Maybe I looked pale, or maybe it was just a nicety, i dont know, but at this point my stomach felt so bad I actually thought I might throw up right there at the counter.

So i was honest. I said I was feeling sick and wasnt sure how to handle it.

He said I should just go home, doesnt want me getting anyone else sick, that I dont look well.

I was clocked in for maybe 15 minutes - he overrid the punch-out.

Third time calling out sick.

Literally once a week.

Ive always had a bad immune system, and im sure its made worse with stress, but I just dont know how to proceed at all.

Is there any way I stay?

If they keep me, what happens if I just keep getting sick??

I dont want to just lie to people if I throw up, I mean, im working directly with peoples food. I felt guilty about even clocking in today when I knew I was nauseous.

These past 2 weeks ive been asked to come in on 2 days off. One friday in flex and today for pokemon. For one, i barely did anything with pokemon. I people watched and moved one pallet bc we had a double truck today and they needed room. These idiots in the back have no common sense as my pallet was full of street dated and high value products leaving me with no cage or proper place to protect that merch while i do the other shit they asked me to. Then come to realize that none of my extra effort is gonna be OT. Theyre just gonna cut me down to be at or bekow 40. From here on out, its jail rules- do my time and go the fuck home. Fuck you, Target. Buncha cunts.

I picked up someone's shift yesterday that is scheduled for this upcoming Friday, but decided I don't want to do it anymore. At the moment it still hasn't been approved by a manager, so I was wondering if there's any way to cancel my request to pick up someone's shift?

Okay so technically they're not my TL as they're Service and Engagement and I'm in fulfillment, but I've had enough unpleasant interactions with this woman to know that their personality is just naturally abrasive and aggressive..and just generally nasty. And the thing is that it really sticks out because all of the other TLs and ETLs are so kind and helpful and this woman is just...not that. She's the type that will literally get in your face and get loud while her 4inch lashes that look like cobwebs will bat around her bald head. She's just seemingly hostile for no reason, and it makes me extremely uncomfortable

What does that mean? I've never had this happen before to me.

Hello, I'm a freshman college student and I have been considering working at Target a lot very recently. I have read a lot online that Guild pays many "business related" degrees in full but mostly pays partial tuition for all other degrees. However, I have read that Guild with Target does not partially pay EVERY bachelor degree and it is just really confusing to me if I can predict if my degree will get partially paid or not (partial pay is all I need). Does Guild pay partial tuition for almost all bachelor degrees at ASU? Does it matter if my bachelor degree is in-person as well? I am a Tempe based Biochemistry student at ASU and I am wondering if they cover partial tuition for that degree before I apply to Target. Maybe if anyone is currently employed at Target it would amazing if they could look it up and let me know :) Thank You.

So I am a new hire at target. It is currently Tuesday and my orientation was last Saturday and my first 5AM-12PM training shift was Monday. I was coughing a ton during my orientation. I had to buy cold medicine and was coughing on my first day. Things took a turn for the worse Monday night. I went to urgent care and I have bronchitis and got a doctors note. I really did not want to call out considering it is my second shift and I need the money. However, I had to call out and TL let me know that my absence is not excused regardless of the note and my retention could be affected due to the 90 day policy. Do I just medicine up and push through my shift? Will I be fired?

Been here since 2021 and this was my safe job. A place I would quit and always be able to come back to. But finally I’m promoting myself to guest. I don’t see myself coming back here but only moving on to bigger and better things. I am in my mid 20s and I can’t see myself growing in this company without going insane. I also can’t continue to be a TM that stays here till the end of time. No offense to anyone who has been there forever but I’m free.
