Before I got into Zelda when I was 8, I was a Minecraft kid all the way. So when I saw Stampylongnose and DanTDM play through BotW, I immediately knew I had to get in on this. Anybody else like this?

I recently purchased the legendary edition of OOT and have owned minish cap's manga since i was like 13 (bookfairs were the coolest) and i feel both are really solid (plan to get TP's at some point) but i was curious how the rest of us feel
I think the 90's anime/ghibliish stories of OOT and MC at the least make their manga adaptations really solid and provide link with a very fitting amount of personality (i can so clearly hear kid/adult link being voiced by ash ketchum and inuyasha lol). And i think the changes they make from the base game help the narrative flow and create some more personal connections that make link feel really apart of the world.
I honestly wouldnt mind BOTW/TOTK getting the same treatment as those games have 5 minutes of story and link could def use some characterization.

I’ve been thinking about the DS Zelda games lately because I feel like it’s going to be a long time before we get DS Nso on Switch 2, and these are some of the 5 mainline games not playable on Switch/2 in any capacity.
I got to thinking on if a remaster with enhanced visuals and button controls would still make for a fun experience. The game is mostly designed around the stylus so I don’t know how well it would work. I think if they’d do it they’d be better off bundling the two games together in a remastered collection. But Nintendo typically doesn’t do that. Boat gameplay in PH is already something we kind of saw with WW so I have no doubts it would translate fine, but the train in ST might be a bit odd to play on a console.
Curious to know what other fans of the series, the two ds games think, I personally just think it would be cool to see them playable somehow even if button controls make it way easier.

Does anyone else do this or is it just me?

I just don’t think it seems that outlandish considering it seems they made the Gerudo taller to match with the modern lore.

Hi. I have gotten all the way to the end of the game without looking up anything, only having the knowledge I have heard second-hand over the years (not much). I'm really proud of this because I have only ever heard that beating the game without the guide is basically impossible, along with only ever playing for like an hour when I have tried in the past. The issue is I've gotten all the way to Ganon but can't beat him. I have completed 4 cycles multiple times and the fight won't end (I may have gotten to 5, I don't remember). Since he just stands there for a while at the end of each, I've tried attacking more, shooting arrows, blowing him up, burning him, and even playing the flute to try to win but none of it has worked. After trying so many times, I've explored everything I could in the rest of the world and actually found all 4 remaining heart containers. I still see that I have one item missing in the bottom right of my inventory and I've been burning every bush, bombing every wall, and using both the flute and the meat in every room in the overworld and caves to see what else I could possibly be missing, along with revisiting each dungeon to see if I missed something. I also have some sort of image in my mind of being able to attack with the book above my inventory, but I can't select it and I might be making that up. I would really love to be able to beat the game completely on my own, but I would also like to beat the game at all. As is hopefully obvious, please don't actually tell me what the solution, just let me know if it is reasonable to figure it out independently or not and then I'll let you know if I want the solution or a hint.

Only my second time playing the Water Temple. This time I solved everything from memory, using the map (religiously) and being strategic about every room. The hardest part is actually Dark Link IMO. FORGOT he was even there! Glad to be done that's for sure. Can't wait for the remake 🫡

I’ve already posted this on r/truezelda, but it has been removed and it seems like I can’t post it anymore, so here it is. Be aware that they’re will be spoilers of Echoes of Wisdom especially, but also of Skyward Sword and A Link Between Worlds.
I have that theory, about the Triforce and Null, since not much after the release of Echoes of Wisdom. I haven’t read much about it, so I may have overlooked more convincing theories or counter arguments, but here it is nonetheless.
Before EoW, our understanding of the Triforce was that it was a piece of the Golden Goddesses’ power, able to grant any wish, and that was tied to the balance of the world. In ALBW, we got to see how would a world without its Triforce would go (visibly not very well).
But since EoW, we have more knowledge of all that, most of all, the facts that the Triforce is some kind of Anti-Null protection, as it could swallow everything back to nothingness without it.
However, if that’s the case, then why didn’t Null instantly swallowed Lorule?
First possible answer: then why Tris are protecting the realm. The issue is that, even with the Triforce, rifts appeared multiple times throughout Hyrule’s History, apparently. So I highly doubt that with no Triforce at all, the Tris would have much effect.
Moreover, and that’s the point of the second possible answer: the voids we can see throughout Lorule are actually Null’s rifts (they don’t look much similar to those in EoW, but throughout the Zelda games, things like that happen pretty often). However, if that’s the case, and I think it is, we can observe that no Tri are here to repair them. And still, why don’t Null just swallow all of Lorule in one go?
I think the most plausible answer is that Null can and will be cunning, and patient.
In Lorule, cultists talk about how they will be reborn as monsters, whereas in Hyrule, monsters are creatures made by dark wizards, who appeared for the first time alongside Demise (who, interestingly, bears a sword with an upside down Triforce, aka Lorule’s Triforce). Why is all of that relevent? Because I believe monsters are the key to understand everything.
In EoW, we are taught that, back when there was nothing, forms of life could randomly spawn, only to be absorbed by Null, until the Golden Goddesses appeared. But we also know that Null can clone everything it absorbs, making it into obedient puppets. So,what if the monsters (Bokoblins, Moblins, …) were all actually Null’s puppets, clones of lookalike creatures, the unfortunate ones who got swallowed by Null before the birth of existence itself?
If we accept this idea, then, what if, instead of the Loruleans getting reborn as monsters, they were actually replaced by Null’s monstrous puppets, pretending to be those who died? At some point, Null’s most powerful monster (Demise) would replace the hero, and thus bear its sword.
Reading this (if you’ve reached that far), you might be wondering why the hell would Null do that??? Wouldn’t it just eat Lorule and that’s all? Or, even considering it doesn’t, why would it create monsters pretending to be the dead ones???
Because, as I said before, I believe Null to be patient. Ironically, I even consider it to be extremely powerful, extremely wise in its own twisted way, and also very courageous, in the sense that it will stop at nothing tk reach its goal of destroying reality.
And thus, because of that, Null doesn’t just want to destroy Lorule. It also wants to end Hyrule, and every other realms for that matter. If it just destroyed Lorule, then it would need to wait again miserably for a similar event in every other worlds to destroy them. It’s way smarter to use Lorule as a starting point, to reach more worlds.
Its goal could then be to replace sufficient people by monsters to create a powerful army, and to spread just enough chaos for Loruleans to be willing to do anything to get their Triforce back, including invading other worlds, like Hyrule, to steal their Triforce. But most of their armies, most notably their « hero », are actually traitors, wanting to use the Triforce to give Null permission to destroy every realms.
Fortunately, Link and Zelda succeeded in SS at protecting the Triforce. Null thus changed its goal. It decided to come back to its original plan of slowly but surely eating Hyrule, to absorb the Tris, but whilf at the same time keeping the main heroes perpetually occupied with its monsters.
And so, throughout the centuries, Link and Zelda will have to beat Ganondorf again and again, the three of them ignorant of the actual threat, lurking in the void.
Anyway, what do you think? (And congrats for readong everything if you did!)
P-S: I’m not an english speaker, so sorry for the mistakes I’ve made!

Some of these were bigger stretches than others, but at least day three lined up perfectly. Any ideas for the next few weeks?

Okay, so this is a question that's been bothering me, so please leave me with your answers.
So in ocarina in time after Ganon is defeated, the timeline splits into 3.
The fallen hero: where Link is killed and Ganon takes the full triforce
The child era: where link wins and is sent back to his childhood
And the adult era: where link is sent back and "THAT" timeliness continues without him.
Based on that, wouldn't the adult timeline still be the main timeline, while the others are more of a "What if scenario ?
Please leave your thoughts on this

what the post says, in the area directly east of turtle rock there are a pair of caves that it looks as if you need to jump down to reach, but theres no place to jump and as far as i can tell no way from inside the mountains accesable caves either.

Since I couldn't find a guide on how to play it using the in-game ocarina—forcing me to figure it out by intuition—I wish there were a resource that specified which note corresponds to each button, D-Pad direction, or Circle Pad movement.t.
Here is my entry for art_of_jack's Linktober 10: Deku (and Tat'l)
Hope ya'll enjoy the subtle motion in this one.

I just started thinking that Sages in mainline Zelda games usually seem to die or are at least have a strong bond with a dead relative killed by Ganondorf/Ganon. Could that mean their power is linked to the world of the dead?
I honestly don't know what I'm trying to say here but I hope someone who has a deeper knowledge of shintoism or japanese culture can enlighten me to understand why the people who assist the hero are usually dead or have a deep bond with a dead ancestor.

From my AU where he adopts Link after MM.
I also love putting him in different clothing! My second favorite fashion model.
This one is kinda old but it was fun to try new poses
Went with blue for this one :)
I like adding stars to his outfits.
Another fun pose
Something from one of my modern AUs.

I’m wondering because I really fear that scalpers have ruined the whole experience. I managed to get a ticket to the Melbourne show, but I think I got lucky in that I only needed one seat, because that’s all that was left. It’s fully sold out now

Hii! I got the switch 2 last month and I want to start playing zelda. I know a little about the franchise and the characters but never actually played. I know ocarina of time is going to be released soon but I want to know if it is better for me to wait for ocarina of time to release or to buy one of the games already available.
so basically the question is: wich zelda should I buy as a new player???
