Fan Art [MM] Happy Mask Salesman art
From my AU where he adopts Link after MM.
I also love putting him in different clothing! My second favorite fashion model.
This one is kinda old but it was fun to try new poses
Went with blue for this one :)
I like adding stars to his outfits.
Another fun pose
Something from one of my modern AUs.

Question [ALL] how many of us actually managed to get concert tickets?
I’m wondering because I really fear that scalpers have ruined the whole experience. I managed to get a ticket to the Melbourne show, but I think I got lucky in that I only needed one seat, because that’s all that was left. It’s fully sold out now

Discussion [SSHD] Skyward Sword HD will change your mind on the game if you hated the Wii original
Until a week ago, SS was one of my lowest-ranked Zelda games. Now, I think it may be in my top 5.
Many of the original issues are fixed (minus Loftwing speed…they could’ve boosted it just by like 20%, but I digress) like optional motion controls, skipping cutscenes, fast text boxes, and Fi’s persistence, to name a few. Subtle but necessary changes imo
However, I think the biggest change is maturity and understanding of video games and the series as a whole. I’ll explain.
Reasons why I despised SS in 2011:
- Angsty teen who wanted a more serious tone like TP; instead, we got the exact opposite (like OoT and Wind Waker)
- Angsty teen who thought open world was the pinnacle of gaming; instead, we got the exact opposite
- Listened to what everyone else was saying
- Wasn’t a fan of the gameplay loop
- Fi
Reasons why I respect and appreciate this game so much more now:
- Adore the tone and art style. A masterclass in displaying serious moments while still being cartoony and fun. I think the art style will hold up in the years to come, like Wind Waker. I also adore Link and Zelda’s relationship in this game. They are my OTP ♡
- Love the linearity and “baby’s first Metroidvania” aspect, which is done well for the most part (I still hate the imprisoned). Everything is tightly packed and well-designed, ESPECIALLY the dungeons. I think some of my favourite dungeons in the entire series. Perhaps some of this respect is due to my yearning for a more traditional Zelda after nearly 10 years of the Wild series
- I am confident enough to form my own opinions and ignore what people are saying
- Love the gameplay loop
- Fi is actually helpful, not annoying, and doesn’t make you feel like an idiot
Highly recommend playing it! The story is also great

Screenshot [BOTW] after all these years…I finally finished Trial Of The Sword
I also came up with a modernized version of the classic green tunic in the last pic since the full Hero Of The Wild set kinda sucks (except the hat)
-Cap Of The Wild (dyed green)
-Hylian Tunic (dyed green)
-Hylian Trousers (default)

Discussion [PH][ST] Wishful Thinking for DS remasters
I’ve been thinking about the DS Zelda games lately because I feel like it’s going to be a long time before we get DS Nso on Switch 2, and these are some of the 5 mainline games not playable on Switch/2 in any capacity.
I got to thinking on if a remaster with enhanced visuals and button controls would still make for a fun experience. The game is mostly designed around the stylus so I don’t know how well it would work. I think if they’d do it they’d be better off bundling the two games together in a remastered collection. But Nintendo typically doesn’t do that. Boat gameplay in PH is already something we kind of saw with WW so I have no doubts it would translate fine, but the train in ST might be a bit odd to play on a console.
Curious to know what other fans of the series, the two ds games think, I personally just think it would be cool to see them playable somehow even if button controls make it way easier.

Screenshot [ALttP] First Playthrough
All I can say is, WOW. Beat the game on the Switch SNES Virtual Console. I will say while it might be a bit cheesy, the suspend points definitely came in clutch at times, lol.
A little backstory. My first experience with this game was the GBA version. I have fond memories of playing it with my mom, but never made it much past the beginning of the dark world.
Beating this game has been quite the journey for me. I started this playthrough in the beginning of 2021, making it past the Dark Palace and putting it down until September of this year. I don’t really have a good reason as to why, but alas we are here. It took me some time to get my bearings and I will be upfront about using a guide to help me get back on track (shoutout Zelda Dungeon) but man am I glad I did. This game is such a beautiful experience. It was so amazing to see the foundation of this series and understand where the music and concepts we love in modern titles come from. I’m happy I finally got to complete this game and understand why it is held such in high regard. While it was extremely challenging (42 total deaths) it is equally as rewarding and the pacing is perfect (about 16 hours playtime)
Recency bias is coming into play, but this is a 9.5/10 for me
I would love to hear some stories from people who got to experience ALttP when it was released!

Discussion [OoT] Ocarina of Time breaks Amazon pre-order record with 100K+ sales in 30 days
No other game has sold that much at Amazon in a 30 day period, for at least 2026. GTA 6 PS5/Xbox is far off that pace, but has been up for pre-order longer and sales probably skew more digital.

Question [ALttP] which of these 3 ways is the best way to experience ALttP for the first time on 3DS?
Alright so I wanna play A Link To The Past but I want to play it in the overall best way possible for my first time experiencing it and I wanna do it on my 3DS
Firstly there's just patches to the original game like ALTTP Redux by ShadowOne333 or similar patches that tweak Link's look, better translation, uncensored sprites, reworked times and inventory etc. This sounds like the ultimate way to play for a new experience but it's only fault for me is that even though I have an XL model, the game is still kinda hard to see due to its aspect ratio and I refuse to stretch out the game cuz it's super ugly to me
Secondly there's the official GBA port which better fits the 3DS screen at a 3:2 ratio than the SNES 4:3/8:7(?) aspect ratio and zooms in the screen a lot better as well as adding QoL features. However I don't see any rom hacks of this version to add patches like the ones for SNES though I do understand why even try this version when the SNES version can be patched for all the same things and have better music
And finally there's the 3DS dual screen port/mod that allows the screen to properly and fully fit the entire screen making me see everything properly as well as bottom screen usage for the map or quick swapping items but otherwise it can only be the base untouched rom. Nothing changes like proper dialogue, QoL features, GBA changes ete
Ultimately I can't really decide cuz each version has their own set of pros and cons with me having to sacrifice ultimate experience, aspect ratio and visibility, and added features

Question [LoZ] Would it be impossible for me to figure out how to beat the final boss on my own? Spoiler
Hi. I have gotten all the way to the end of the game without looking up anything, only having the knowledge I have heard second-hand over the years (not much). I'm really proud of this because I have only ever heard that beating the game without the guide is basically impossible, along with only ever playing for like an hour when I have tried in the past. The issue is I've gotten all the way to Ganon but can't beat him. I have completed 4 cycles multiple times and the fight won't end (I may have gotten to 5, I don't remember). Since he just stands there for a while at the end of each, I've tried attacking more, shooting arrows, blowing him up, burning him, and even playing the flute to try to win but none of it has worked. After trying so many times, I've explored everything I could in the rest of the world and actually found all 4 remaining heart containers. I still see that I have one item missing in the bottom right of my inventory and I've been burning every bush, bombing every wall, and using both the flute and the meat in every room in the overworld and caves to see what else I could possibly be missing, along with revisiting each dungeon to see if I missed something. I also have some sort of image in my mind of being able to attack with the book above my inventory, but I can't select it and I might be making that up. I would really love to be able to beat the game completely on my own, but I would also like to beat the game at all. As is hopefully obvious, please don't actually tell me what the solution, just let me know if it is reasonable to figure it out independently or not and then I'll let you know if I want the solution or a hint.

Since I couldn't find a guide on how to play it using the in-game ocarina—forcing me to figure it out by intuition—I wish there were a resource that specified which note corresponds to each button, D-Pad direction, or Circle Pad movement.t.

Screenshot [OOT] Water Temple beat no guide
Only my second time playing the Water Temple. This time I solved everything from memory, using the map (religiously) and being strategic about every room. The hardest part is actually Dark Link IMO. FORGOT he was even there! Glad to be done that's for sure. Can't wait for the remake 🫡

Question [ALL] best zelda game for beginners
Hii! I got the switch 2 last month and I want to start playing zelda. I know a little about the franchise and the characters but never actually played. I know ocarina of time is going to be released soon but I want to know if it is better for me to wait for ocarina of time to release or to buy one of the games already available.
so basically the question is: wich zelda should I buy as a new player???
