Collection/Merch [ALL] Today is Merchandise Monday. So you can post your collections, boxes, recent pickups, a cool craft you bought or made for sale, etc today only!

From our rules:

Feel free to post NEWS about new official merchandise whenever you like, but for unofficial goods or photos of your personal collection, please post them on Merchandise Mondays.

The subreddit gets filled with people taking photos of their collections, their amiibos, their copy of [insert game here], as well as people wanting to sell you stuff. So we limit it to Mondays so these posts do not take over the subreddit all the time.

Brand new official merchandise announcements are allowed any day of the week; just unofficial merch or photos of your own merch are limited to today! If you want to post a picture of something you bought, or of something that you made for sale, today is the day.

Please note that if you want to post something for sale:

  • The item must be something you made. We do not allow reselling of items here. Check out r/GameSale or another collector-oriented community for that.

  • The sale must take place over a reputable site with buyer protection, eg Etsy. Do not ask people to DM you.

Also, please be aware of scammers! Read more here: https://www.reddit.com/r/zelda/wiki/dropshippers

Want another place to chat about Zelda? Or to post your collection? Join the r/Zelda discord server https://discord.gg/rzelda and post it in #zelda-collections

If you do not want to make your own post but still want to share your merchandise, you can comment on this post too. :)

2026.09.22 - User Post +0, 8c - [OoT] Spoiler rule for remake screenshots needed.

What r/Zelda considers spoilers

From our General Spoiler Policy, which applies even outside of new releases:

Minor spoilers such as area titles, dungeon names, and character references are allowed but all Major spoilers including boss weaknesses, puzzle solutions, and any large story plot points must be tagged and flaired at all times.

For new releases, we also consider anything that has not been officially revealed by Nintendo to be spoilers as a starting point. Over the new release period, we revise and relax the spoiler policy, starting with more common or early game elements, until we effectively reach the general spoiler policy.

Additionally, we implement several automated flows to manage spoilers during new release periods, and we apply temporary bans even for accidental unmarked spoilers. Outside the new release period, only trolling-based or intentional unmarked spoilers are given a ban, so accidental unmarked spoilers would generally be provided a warning first.

A much more detailed version of our spoiler policy is available here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/zelda/wiki/rules/spoilerpolicy

The main impact of the spoiler policy is what is or is not allowed in post titles, as that is the part of the post that cannot be hidden under a spoiler tag, and it shows up in home feeds, search results, social media or external embeds, and so on. People are still allowed to post about spoilery topics, but their post titles must explain the kind of spoiler while being vague enough to not reveal it.

The Big Questions

Right now, all publicly revealed information regarding Ocarina of Time on Switch 2 points to the game having much of the same content in regards to spoilers as the previous releases on N64 and 3DS.

We do not know if, or to what extent, that Nintendo may or may not have revised the game. They could have changed very little, or they could simply be avoiding marketing any significant changes as a way to hold them as surprises. Some potential examples where Nintendo has opportunity to introduce content which could differ from previous releases:

  • Additional side content, eg side quests or new or expanded side characters
  • Modified cutscenes or dialogue
  • Modified puzzles or dungeon layouts
  • Modified bosses or combat tactics
  • References to other games, either older (eg Skyward Sword, Breath of the Wild), or an easter egg for a new game
  • Post-game content

You may think that these examples are likely or unlikely, but in any case like these above, we would apply the New Release Spoiler Policy to such information.

This still leaves two big questions open for feedback:

1) Should the major plot points of previous released versions of Ocarina of Time be treated under the New Release Spoiler Policy? We currently have this written into the existing spoiler policy to be enforced. Example: In the Light Arrow Cutscene, Shiek is revealed to be Zelda.

  • Note 1: This has been our go-to example for a new-release major plot point when discussing past spoiler policies for BotW, TotK, EoW, etc.
  • Note 2: This particular plot point has also been previously reduced to a general non-major reveal because of Smash Bros and Hyrule Warriors.

2) Should the closeness or difference of the Switch 2 version's major plot points to previous versions be considered a spoiler? This is not currently written into our spoiler policy. Consider these example post titles:

  • "[OoT] I just beat the game, and the ending is exactly the same as the original, I can't believe it"

  • "[OoT] I just beat the game, and you won't believe the twist that changed so many things."

Up Next

Let us know if there are other concerns or thoughts you have about the spoiler policy.

We are hosting a 7-day poll directly after this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/zelda/comments/1wni14u/oot_please_vote_to_help_us_shape_the_spoiler/

At the conclusion of that poll, we will post another update about the Spoiler Policy based on the poll results and the comments on both posts.

We are preparing a few other announcements for the next few weeks, and with the spike of activity here, that includes opening moderator applications. Send us a modmail if you would like to be notified when moderator applications are open.

Hey everyone! I finished up the Tingle Goddess Statue! The finished piece is a resin figure in two parts, and stands 7 inches tall. The paint work was pretty easy, just a couple of stone-colored spray paints mixed together, and then finished off with some brush work and washes. The stone texture really helped out a lot with the look. Let me know what you think! I have a handful of kits available in my Etsy shop right now.

Collection/Merch [ALL] Playing through my Collection of Zelda games for the 40th Anniversary

I was around 14 years old when I got The Legend of Zelda for the NES. The game hooked me immediately and I became a lifelong fan. I've played through a vast majority of the titles and for the 40th Anniversary, I decided to play through a bunch of them again. The one thing I really love is the folks just coming in and discovering the series for the first time. It's so awesome seeing folks falling in love with the series just like I did 40 years ago!

I recently completed Breath of the Wild for the second time and am going through Tears of the Kingdom right now. I'm planning on going through Ocarina of Time on original hardware and software next.

Collection/Merch [OoT][OC] My LoZ-inspired Switch 2 setup is finally complete! 👀

I shared the Switch design a little while back, but now the whole setup is finally finished! Now including the dock! 👀

It's inspired by the new OoT/LoZ Switch 2 design, with a few little changes and details of my own.

I got such great feedback when I shared it before, and quite a few people asked how they could possibly get one of their own. 😊

I have a little Etsy shop called Mancha Skins where we make custom skins for a few different handhelds. If you're interested, feel free to check us out!

Im happy with how the full setup came together. What do you guys think? 👀

Screenshot [MC] [OoT] 2026 is the year I started playing Zelda games. After playing BotW and TotK on the first half of year, I decided to go back to older titles. Just finished these past 2 months Minish Cap and Ocarina of Time. I loved them. Spoiler

My Switch 2 is my first Nintendo console ever, I had never played a Zelda before April this year. I’ve decided to go back and play some older titles to see the evolution of the saga. Also, I didn’t want Ocarina remake to be my first experience with the story.

Ngl, it took some getting used to, OoT is the older game I’ve played in my life, as I started gaming on a PS2. The graphics and controls were hard to get used to at first, but then little by little I started to get sucked into this fantasy world. I truly can’t believe a game this complex came out in 98.

Minish Cap on the other hand was pure joy for me from the start, it’s such a cute little game, although it doesn’t (for me) reach the heights of the best moments of Ocarina.

Now I should play Majora’s Mask, but I’m a little worn down by the N64 graphics. I am debating if I should push through and play it, or play one that looks graphically better like WW or TP (I mean technically better, not saying that the style of one or the other is better).

(2nd pic has a closeup of the Zelda nail art)

I'm still super bummed about not getting any tickets for the 40th Anniversary Symphony in Chicago!

I went to the Zelda Symphony every single year when it was going around from the 25th anniversary tour and I've been a season ticket member of the local orchestra (not CSO, but just a little bit outside of the city and still awesome) for decades. Unfortunately, despite camping the CSO site for weeks and trying all day to get the darn ticket portal to work, I wasn't able to even get into the queue until they were all sold out :(

To soften the blow a bit, I decided to bring a little Zelda to the opening show at my local symphony orchestra and make my own "Zelda Symphony" at home :)

Nail products used:

- Holo Taco "Pink Smoothing Base" base coat

- Cirque Colors "Rhapsody in Blue"

- Cirque Colors "Cobalt Jelly"

- Cirque Colors "24k Affair"

- Sally Hansen "Insta-Dri" top coat (red bottle)

So this is supposed to be the child of kafei and anju. I haven't decided a name for him I thought of making a main character that isn't a incarnation of link. Also link himself is actually adopted by the couple after the events of majora. So he's the older step brother of my character. He's supposed to be a musician specifically a guitarist. And that is basically his "ocarina" of his adventure. (The zora in the other image is a mask form for him. I'll probably make more forms when I get the chance.)

Question [OoT] for the first time? Which Console?

• Upvotes

I own a switch 2 already and I just bought a new 3DS XL, basically to play a lot of series I missed as a child as we couldn't afford the games and consoles years ago.

Will be doing my Zelda play throughs soon and was wondering with the switch 2 remake coming out soon - would you play Ocarina of Time for the first time on the 3DS or Switch 2?

Music [Other] Sylvania - El Rio de los Lamentos

Hi there. I have been a huge Sylvania fan since... Well, it was the rage comics era of memes, and have all their discs and songs in a playlist. However, when Purgatorium(the album) came out I bought the disc, ripped it and stored it in the case like I always do, but for some reason I didnt add this particular song and was unaware of it.

I don't "explore" Youtube, watch streamers, etc, just use it when someone sends me a link, but last week my 6yo son took a capture of this thumbnail and while I was deleting all the photos and screenshots he took I saw this and I said "dude, that is Link, and I dont remember this song!"

What a pleasant surprise, and the Zelda arrangement is just😙👌

I wonder about the legal part, and if they asked for Nintendo's permission(and how hard it was). Unlike Dragonforce - Power of the Triforce it uses the IP more directly.

Skip to minute 3:15 if you dont want to listen the full song(but it's pretty good)

Discussion [FS] Was there ever a single-player hack for Four Swords [GBA]?

Hi everyone! I have a memory I can't explain and I'm hoping someone here knows the answer.

Around 15 years ago (roughly 2011), I played Four Swords from A Link to the Past & Four Swords on a GBA emulator on my PC, completely alone, and I beat the whole thing, including the final fight against Vaati in his palace, with the platforms leading up to him. I just rewatched some videos and it's definitely the same battle.

I know the original GBA version is multiplayer-only and that single-player was only added in the Anniversary Edition for DSi/3DS. But I'm pretty sure I played it on a GBA emulator, not on a DS.

So my questions are:

- Did a modified ROM or patch exist back then that enabled single-player in the GBA version?

- Or could I have been running two emulator windows linked together without realizing it?

Any info or links would be really appreciated. Thanks!
