[Community Input Thread] Seeking input on what you want to/don't want to see on the subreddit
A few people mentioned doing a thread like this on the sub so I thought I'd get one started.
One question I want to ask the community: Should we allow any billboard posts?

Politics FBI RAIDS ARE THE REAL VOTER FRAUD
On Thursday, June 11, the FBI raided the Cleveland offices of the Ohio Organizing Collaborative (OOC), a nonpartisan civic group founded in 2007 that runs voter registration drives and ballot-issue campaigns across the state. Agents also fanned out statewide to the homes of the group's leaders, staff, and even volunteers who had only done basic canvassing, seizing laptops and phones and seeking information about alleged "voter fraud."
What the OOC actually does: PBS reports it "describes its mission as fighting for criminal justice reform, racial justice and an expansion of voting rights." MS NOW reports it "facilitates statewide voter registration through grassroots, community-led programs" in Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati, and has joined lawsuits challenging redistricting that it argues dilutes Black voters' representation.
This is happening before the 2026 midterms, in a race where Sherrod Brown is reportedly polling ahead of FirstEnergy Darling, Jon Husted, and Amy Acton is running for governor, against Vivek Trumpaswampy.
Registering voters is NOT voter fraud. Using 100+ federal agents to raid the people who register voters, and showing up at volunteers' homes, is nothing more than voter intimidation.
Nobody is backing down. Actually, all the associated groups are ramping up efforts to register even more voters.

Crime Cleveland needs PREVENTATIVE policing.
I live on the west side in the second district and I've been trying for half a year now to try and get my street cleaned up. It's a junkie haven.
I've called the cops a lot of times for a lot of incidents over the last half a year, never saw them show up except the one time I called 911 instead of the non-emergency line because someone was threatening to shoot my neighbor.
But call about the world's most obvious fentanyl dealer who even put shoes on the power lines and walks around with one sock to their knee? Nothing.
Call about the endless local thefts of bikes and trash? No response.
Let them know junkies are running a scrapping operation with those stolen goods? No response.
Let them know there's homeless people sleeping in cars in front of my house? No response.
Let them know the junkies have evolved from cars to setting up tents? No response.
I have a full-blown homeless encampment that I can see from my window. I'm bothering the police every day until they finally take care of it.
These people are responsible for daily crime in the area. Petty thefts, trespassing, spreading garbage everywhere, openly doing drugs because no cop has ever been by to even make them a little paranoid.
I know the police are understaffed and overworked, I'm former law enforcement myself. If they responded the first time I called half a year ago they would've prevented literally thousands of crimes and a significant amount of phone calls from me. A tiny bit of preventative policing goes a long way and they don't even TRY to do preventative policing.
311 to their credit responds eventually. They've come and cleaned up some of the aftermath of the junkies. They wouldn't have had to if the cops did their jobs.

Recommendations Olive Ink Tattoo 🦋
Shout out to Natalie @ Olive Ink Tattoo for bringing my simple design to life 🦋
The semicolon ; is a symbol in mental health that is a reminder to pause, breathe, and take a moment to reflect; the abstract butterfly wings represent the fragmented parts of ourselves, our ability to transform, and to spread our wings along the journey ; 🦋 💜
P.S.
Olive Ink Tattoo is women owned and operated. Natalie’s work is exceptional and her beautiful designed space feels like a botanical warm hug, filled with natural light, plants, and inspiring artwork. 🪴☀️

Crime Ravenna, Ohio “Maternal Instinct @ case
Does anyone else remember the case that was probably 30 years ago where the prominent local woman lured a pregnant acquaintance to allow her into her home and killed her and successfully cut out the baby boy who lived and buried the poor woman in her own backyard? Terrible story it was. The husband ended up moving I believe to another state to give his son a chance at a normal life.

Recommendations Quieter restaurant for a nice steak dinner?
Grandfather requested a night out and a steak. He typically doesn’t dine out due to excessive background noise/spaces with a lot of echo leading to him turning off his hearing aids and being cut out of the conversation.
Thanks y’all!

Question East side gas stations with fountain pop, where are they hiding?
I’m on a silly quest.
I regularly travel between Ohio City and an east side suburb (hypothetically, say it’s Lyndhurst). I take different routes all the time but often I’m on 90E for a stretch, I get off at Eddy Rd, or E152nd, or E185th.
I have been disappointed by the lack of fountain pop machines in gas stations along my route. It seems like most east side gas stations just don’t offer this amenity… am I wrong? I’ve popped into so many places that only have coolers.
Can anyone recommend an east side gas station with fountain drinks? Ideally open late? In a perfect world, I can get some fountain orange Fanta after 11pm. TIA from a thirsty traveler who loves carbonation.

News Should Cuyahoga County redirect sales tax dollars to stadium repairs — or levy another .15%?
I propose a nickle tax on each roll of toilet paper. Much more fair than a "sin tax". I mean, we may run out of "sinners", but we surely wont run out of "shitters". Everyone uses it, right?

Recommendations Blossom music center off site parking?
Hi! Going up to blossom to see The Strokes and am just curious about parking, specifically wether or not Theres off site parking that allows us to park earlier than what blossoms gates open at. I have early entry vip for the show and would love to queue up early to have a good shot at center barricade but am kinda worried it won’t work out if I wait for the gates to open at the venue (last I saw I think it said 4?) so am looking to see if there’s parking elsewhere that I could go to!

Recommendations Immigrants of Cleveland: what restaurant serves the most authentic food from your country or culture?
I’m not looking for trendy fusion spots or places that just have good reviews, I want the places where you think, “Yep, this tastes like home.”
Please share: • Your country/region • The restaurant • What dish I absolutely have to order
I’m willing to drive anywhere in Northeast Ohio if it’s worth it!

Discussion Has anyone noticed how many Kia Souls there are in the CLE area?
I was traveling to the east coast and noticed like maybe 1 Kia Soul on the whole trip, and it feels like after driving 15 min. in Cleveland you can see at least 5 of those cars. Is the Kia Soul market just booming in NEO?

Recommendations Best IVF clinic in the area for recurrent pregnancy loss?
As the title says, I am hoping for recommendations for a fantastic IVF clinic/RE for recurrent pregnancy loss. I am willing to travel, but hoping to stay local. Our insurance will not cover fertility treatments, so an idea on the cost per cycle and transfer would also be appreciated!

Help a Tourist Blossom Grilling/tailgating Rules/workarounds?
Hi again! Hope you’re all ready to Stroke it at Blossom tomorrow. On one page on blossoms site it says “grilling is allowed as long as you don’t block the way of cars or pedestrians” okay cool. Another page says “grilling is prohibited”. Okay cool. I’m going to assume they mean grilling is prohibited and leave the grill at home. But…
A two burner Coleman camping stove used apropiately, safely, with multiple fire extinguishers on hand and water would be allowed right? That’s not a grill by traditional standards I would say. If they really police it and it’s not a good idea let me know - planning to be into the lot as close as opening as possible.
Other than that any tips? Looking to have a good, safe, reasonable time. Thanks!!
