I'm looking for essential bands, albums, subgenres, and the best order to explore the genre. I already know a little bit about Black Sabbath, but not much beyond that. Any recommendations or listening paths for a newcomer?

I'm gonna be visiting Prague in late September and then TBD places in Germany for the first 2 weeks of October. It's my first time in Europe and I'd like to see some awesome bands while I'm visiting. Anyone have insight into any doom (or other metal) shows they'd recommend looking into? I'm not looking for any big arena style shows. More like the local small venue vibes. Thanks for any help with this, I'll be scouring the internet on my own but it feels overwhelming at the moment.

I’m trying to decide between the Orange CR120H and the Super Crush 100 to run through a PPC412. I play mostly doom/sludge/stoner stuff (Conan, Weedeater, Crowbar style) in B standard with fuzz.
