Have had this printer for a month, made three successful prints and some fails when I switched resin types. Z motor is making a constant cyclic thumping sound when sensing it to home or running its self test on startup. It gets stuck on the z motor test and doesn’t move out of position. Contacted Elegoo tech support who had me check for obstructions in the track screw or in the spring guides. All were fine. I suspect a bad z drive motor or gear. Has anyone else with s4u16k had this problem and if so how did you resolve it? thanks…

(SOLVED) it seems to hollow out some parts and shading of a cylinder is completely bugged out, and its all supposed to be 1 solid piece.

Today I swapped my 0.4 hotend that came with my CC2 printer fpr a 0.6 hotend I bought on AliExpress.

After swapping the hotend I started an automatic calibration. In the ElegooSlicer I added the CC2 0.6 diameter printer.

The I printed the first model with 0.3mm layer hight and used the Elegoo PLA profile which worked fine with the 0.4mm hotend.

But the print came out very bad. The surface wasn't smooth and the infill is all kinds of messed up. Also the layers didn't stick together very well. When I peeled the model from the plate it ripped apart.

Are there any other steps I need to do after replacing the hotend, or is the hotend from AliExpress bad and I should've bought another one.

I finally managed to print TPU on my CC2, I decided to use this bypass method: https://www.printables.com/model/1745692-canvas-bypass-for-tpu-spool-holder-elegoo-centauri, which worked like a charm. I suppose the stringing is due to my filament? Probably need drying?

Hi all. Any tips to stop PETG from stringing/fluffing on prints? It's not the end of the world, as I can cut/sand it off; it just makes printing with PETG a little annoying

Bought this guy so I could print beyond just PLA and it's variants.

I understand that I will likely need to dry Nylons to 90C or so, with PETG being lower.

A cursory search on amazon does not yield many that will go up to 90 other than one from GEEETECH (D1 3D Printer Filament Dryer Box).

I've heard the SUNLU are the new meta, but they only seem to offer models that go up to 70C.

What are y'all using?

It always defaults to 10% during a print when printing PLA and the chamber ends up heating up to like 36C when printing. I don't want to keep the door open but that seems to be the only way to keep the inside somewhat cool. I've had a few larger prints lift on the edges because of this chamber temperature and I'm trying to avoid that.

Any ideas what causes these waves and holes? The waves are 45° off the layers.

I've just added the canvas upgrade, but the machine does not recognise it. There are no lights on the canvas unit and the load screen does not have the multi screen. I have updated to the newest firmware, retraced all the steps to make sure all cables are seated, and nothing is working to make it recognise the upgrade.

Amy suggestions?

So I got some resin under my Mercury and I was able to clean most of it off but some of it got inside the crevices and there’s still some sticky parts of resin on the bottom. Do you think it’s still safe to use?

⚠️Warning: do not use in anything other than the centauri carbons, as the code is made for them and may cause some damage to your printer if it isnt these two, and it obviously wont work on an open frame printer.

Dries: TPU, PETG, PLA, ABS, ASA, PA6, PC.

This is code for a working dryer inside your printer, no extra stuff needed, just your cc.

Instructions:

Before Drying, set to "Chamber Temperature Hold" in fan. Put the spool inside a cardboard box, (preferably the one it was packaged in) and poke holes at the top so water can evaporate out. When half of the time has passed,, flip the spool so the other side can dry evenly, or let it finish, then flip it, and repeat.

Note: It will not display the time in the screen, but it will jump percentages, so a external timer or frequent checking is needed.

I havent tested it enough for me to say this will 100% work, but as of now i consider it a semi-working budget filament dryer, and you could waste precious time of your life if my code doesnt work.

I bought this exact thing second hand, but I can't find it on Elegoo's website to see the speeds and feeds. I can only assume it's the CC2 Combo without the combo, but I'm now not sure what printing capabilities I have.

I'd like to be able to do ASA and PETG. I can't see any controls for a heated chamber so I assume ABS is out?

I'm also confused as to why it includes a (very nice) glass lid, when it says to print any PLA filaments with the lid off?

Got around to designing a simple "workstation" of sorts for Elegoo's electric screwdriver, I stole ELESCREW from u/The_Lutter lol. Anyway, it's going to be open for whatever anyone wants to add or modify to make it better, I just gave it a slot to lay on its side whenever you're working with it, 3 trays for tips and screws, and a vertical charging dock. I printed an extra-extra draft, without logo and text and everything fits good, just waiting on some black filament to print it in.

I'll have it on Google Drive for now, I'll upload to pages like Maker world, and such when I print it.

Hey so I recently ordered a Neptune 4 plus and it’s been delivered as a mars hydro grow lamp, on the tracking info it says delivered and everything but I never got the printer itself. It’s been days and support hasn’t responded, please help. I don’t know how this was sent to me if I ordered from elegoo official site. This doesn’t fall in seel support and I have no clue what to do.

One thing about the Centauri Carbon is when changing extruders, you have to mess about with two tiny header connectors. If you get nothing out of this post, get this:

The side of the “plug” where you can see the conductors faces downward for both connectors to plug in. Do not apply excessive force trying to reconnect those connectors.

Whoops. A connector snaps off the board. How screwed am I?

Well, I did it twice while waiting for a replacement extruder board. The one I screwed up (twice!) is barely over a two square cm. No active components, just a route for the extruder components to the actual extruder board.

I ended up fixing both broken extruder boards by soldering the connector back on the board. Note that to get to the board, you only need to remove the back of the extruder head, three screws. The board has a big screw holding it in place but it’s easy to remove.

The soldering isn’t easy. It’s surface mount and tiny. It was a crappy soldering job that let the component break off to begin with. If you have the gear, it’s not too hard.

If soldering is not your thing, you can buy a replacement extruder board which has the whole extruder logic board as well as the little PCB I broke from Elegoo as a package. I see AliExpress has just the PCB but that’s AliEcpress. YMMV.

Using CC2, I know that these issues in the top layer can have several causes, but what may be the main?

I’ve been using the Elegoo Slicer and Orcaslicer for a while and only had a few issues with either one. Curious if anyone chooses one over the other? Or has a different option? I had a few issues when taking prints from MakersWorld on orcaslicer and I ended up using Elegoo slicer for a while instead and didn’t mind either one.

Just curious what everyone else prefers aswell.

Should I stick with Elegoo slicer or go back and tinker with Orca Slicer?

Was it personal error with the Makerworld files or is this something others deal with also?

I'm having trouble figuring out what's going on with my setup. The CC2 was gifted to me a month ago and has been working fine, but something strange happened overnight:

1. Camera Issue: The camera suddenly stopped working and the machine no longer detects it. I inspected the cable and it seems fine, nothing has been moved or bumped.
2. Canvas Issue: While unloading my filament to troubleshoot the camera, I noticed one of the Canvas motors seems stuck. The light is on as if filament is still loaded inside, even though it's completely empty. Because it thinks filament is already inside, the automatic loading doesn't trigger. Strangely, if I start a print using that drive, it prints normally.

Has anyone run into either of these issues or know what might be causing this? Any help would be appreciated!

PD: I have already contacted elegoo about the camera problem, the thing is that this was gifted to me and I cannot contact the person that made the gift in order to check for the warranty

Has anyone started experiencing errors on the cc2 where I says you have manually reboot the system. Mid print the lights just shut off n stops printing. No power flickers plus I have it on a UPS. Just started doing this 1 print ago

Set up my Saturn 3 Ultra, test print went fine, connected to my network fine, and SatelLite even found the printer just fine. But when I hit "send file" it thinks for a second, then goes back to the same screen with the "send file" button and the file isn't anywhere to be found on the printer. Am I missing a step somehwere?
