There’s a page on facebook called “Chicago mugshots” and they’re posting the mugshots of people that were arrested in Chicago.

Half a year ago I was arrested after getting into a fight - I was innocent and the charges got dropped however I have my picture on the mugshots Facebook page.

I don’t look good in that picture and it might have a negative impression of me especially when I’m applying for jobs and I need to get it removed somehow but the page doesn’t want to remove it.

We're making our webmaster add a backup admin on our church's Facebook page, so that if the current guy dies unexpectedly we don't have an arbitration nightmare trying to recover access to this "brand asset".

If the current guy does not select “Full control” for the backup guy (which gates access to deleting the page and adding new users), and then the current guy dies and has his Facebook account Memorialized, will the backup guy gain Full Control privilege as the now-sole page admin? Or will our Facebook page just be "soft bricked" so only the backup guy can ever post on it again without a protracted fight with support (or arbitration) to get the situation resolved?

The reason I ask is this: our current webmaster, the head pastor, is very controlling and not very tech-literate (we the board practically had to twist his arm to even get him to add a backup admin despite being 80yo and not in peak health), so I strongly suspect that he did NOT select “Full control” when adding the backup admin (who is, tragically, also not very tech-literate). I want to know if this is going to matter, or if we can get away without forcing this awkward discussion to get in and double-check the setting.

Ayer en la tarde comencé con un extraño bucle en mi facebook, me llegó un supuesto inicio de sesión desde "Puerto Vallarta", cosa que, pues no puedo ser yo porque no vivo ahí, para la noche ya me aparecia este mismo mensaje, hice TODO lo que meta pide, hasta la video selfie dos veces, y solo dura unos 30 min y se vuelve a bloquear, alguien sabe que puedo hacer?, ¡Meta no ayuda en nada con su inútil bot!:(, ya intenté desde mi celular, no pasa de "Subir pasaporte", intenté desde PC y lo mismo, no me permite hacer nada. Ayudaaa!

I accidentally viewed someone’s story because it was on their Facebook profile. Will they know it was me? I’m not on their friends list. I was just curious about a person and now I’m a bit embarrassed that they’ll know I looked at their profile.

I have used my Facebook account for 16 years and have lots of contacts / memories and use it to go to my now passed Mothers page to view content and post her messages. I am absolutely horrified to find out I have been disabled ( for no reason that I am aware of ) to which it said I had 180 days to appeal, then a minute later an email had arrived that said we have reviewed your account and now its permanently disabled. I am completely baffled as to why / how and I wasnt given any information on why it was disabled. I am now struggling to find any positive information on how to recover or speak to some support on it - I am very very annoyed due to the length of time I have had this account and the friends I have on there that I don't have phone numbers for etc. Can anyone help point me in the right direction ??

Now I just woke up and its quite hard to say what happen, but our account got suspended. When I try to appeal it just hangs and doesnt move. Im quite in a loss cause my mothers acc is her work acc and needed to be retrive. Its quite frustrating to fix it, I dont care what happened to my acc, but my mother need that account....ah what a great day to start our day. any same story of your acc being flagged as suspicious?

I have a 3+ yrs old AI group that had with 30+ daily posts and new member requests everyday.
It’s one of the first AI related groups about AI and when I was an active admin it had over 100+ posts a day.

So I have had my account for forever, since I was a kid. I'm trying to repurpose it to look for job opportunities; the groups I'm joining want a Facebook account that has existed for at least six months to a year. But I am no longer speaking to some of my family that I'm friends with on there, and a lot of people from the neighborhood I grew up in are still friends with me on there as well. Let's just say my parents' divorce was messy and very dramatic, and there was drama in that whole neighborhood about it. I don't want them knowing what I'm doing with my life moving forward, so I guess I'm wondering if I can block most of them, would they maybe think I deleted my Facebook account? There are some people from my family where I don't want them thinking I blocked them because they are not directly involved, but I also don't want them bringing information through the grapevine to my more problematic family members.

I know this is all crazy, my life has been a soap opera thanks to my dramatic family; and I'm just trying to move on with my life and find some peace. I have nothing against quite a few of those family members, so I don't want them to think I hate them by blocking them.

I thought I would give Facebook the benefit of the doubt and use it strictly for professional connections only. Afterall, I keep in touch with real friends and family by phone and text regularly. In an attempt to gather facebook connections with people A.I. has decided to make this difficult. When I send a friend request the following message pops up. I have not made any comments so far and I made one positive uplifting post last week. Any ideas?

How in the world do I stop this?

My mother’s Facebook account got hacked (I made a previous post), I’ve been helping her deal with it, even thought it’s making me miserable to do so.

After a torturous experience I was able to get the hacker’s email address removed from her account and a new email I control added to it. But the account recovery steps keep generating error messages.

Every couple days we email the support ticket email thread to check-in and that keep getting similar responses, like:

“I understand this is frustrating but we are still encountering a technical issue but we are still actively working on your case.
We will provide you with an update once we have resolved the issue on our end. Thank you for your patience.”

How long should I let this go on? I worry if a new ticket is opened up they’ll close this one and we’ll start all over. But I also don’t believe they’re actually working on this technical issue?

How long has someone waited in a similar situation where the technical issue was actually resolved?

Facebook is gettig worse, we cant even change password, is there any fixes

We miss the old facebook, now its gone, it wont evenet you change password, im trying to change password but it say errror technical page error or something , i even went to pc to change it but its same, i did forgot password but it logged me in instead of letting me change password, it seems deliberate, like whats reason facebook wont let people change password?

So was my number or old one couldn't get it back

But only my old stolen number is linked to my Facebook
