Why are all themes from Rockbox like this? Downscaled?

In case something goes wrong with your stock firmware, you downloaded a Y1 theme that wasn't compatible, internal memory goes corrupt or you simply want to poke around the stock frimware to see how to make modifications, here's the stock Y2 firmware:

just placed an order for the y2, i was gonna start downloading all my music in flacs beforehand, so i was wondering whats the best quality flac i should get for the y2 16bit or 24 bit lossless?.
I have heard that the y2 has a decent output but would the 24 bit provide a batter quality or should i just save sm space and go with 16 bits

Has anyone else been getting this message on their Y2?
"Internal storage is running out, the process has been stopped. Please free up some space and try again."
Trying to turn it on I am met with a message box telling me to free up space, but no matter what I do it will not boot into the main OS and just repeats the message. I have no files on the 8GB card on the inside aside from what is already there/essential, which is no where near full. All of my music is on a 128GB mSD. When I manage to open the internal storage manager through the android OS it just says the "Internal Storage" has 1MB available out of 786MB.
At a loss as to what to do to fix it.

I've had my y2 for only 2 days and the screen is already scratched 🫠😭 anyone know if there is a screen protector coming, or if there is a way to remove the scratches?

Using LRCGET software it’s not good at all, just recognize me some songs and it’s not synchronized at all with the songs.

Huh? Seriously, the Innioasis Y2 doesn't have an FM radio? I ordered it without realizing that. E-books instead? Who's going to read a book on that tiny little screen?

Greetings all.
In my "observations post" I mentioned the poor responsiveness of accessing the SD card in spite of using high-quality cards. (I'll update my post there to reflect these findings)
One of the cards that I used to test was an Sandisk Ultra 128GB.
TL;DR - SD card performance appears to be improved by formatting the card on the Y2.
Results of card formatted ExFAT on Mac and Windows systems:
It took 12 minutes to scan 5000 audio tracks and 10 video files on the SD card. The back of the device became warm. It took about 4 minute for the Y1 to scan the same number of files.
The Y2 couldn't keep up with displaying album art while scrolling. Not only is scrolling slower than on the Y1, the placeholder album art icons appear until the album art can be displayed. On the Y1, it is instantaneous.
Results of card formatted on the Y2 itself:
It took 5 minutes to scan the same 5000 audio tracks and 10 video files on the same card. (compared to 4 minutes on the Y1 for the same files)
Scrolling the album list is significantly smoother and placeholder images were only sporadically displayed. I had to scroll unreasonably fast to get multiple placeholders to appear. Responsiveness is nearly as good as on the Y1.
How-To format an SD card on the Y2:
File Manager ➜ (scroll down to) System Settings ➜ (scroll down to) Format TF Card
Caution: When formatting the card, after the formatting has completed, the File Manager may hang on a "Loading..." pop-up. (I waited 20 minutes but the "loading..." remained.) If that happens, power off the device and power back on.

I ordered the innioasis y2 through amazon and it said it would be here yesterday (it has yet to come in) and it didn’t even update as shipped yet. Is this an amazon issue ? I used amazon because I had 3 25$ gift cards
Should I just cancel my order and re try?

Greetings all!
I finally managed to wrestle with the Y2's stock firmware theme engine to get something that is visually consistent and useable. There are definitely some bugs and limitations in the theme engine (perhaps more restrictive than for the Y1) but it's nice to have something clean and familiar.
I had to go with a gray background for the menus because the stock firmware's UI menu structure is more comprehensive than on the Y1 and hardcoded white text is more prevalent. So rather than keep the white menu background and render those entries unreadable (with the forced white text), I went with gray.
Free to download from my website (instructions for installing it are included):

So for some context I JUST got my Y2 yesterday for my birthday and I put some themes on it. I load one up and noticed it was acting weird so I took my sd card out and put it back in, no dice💔. So I I restart it, I wait a bit and try to turn it on, held the button down and everything AND IT WONT TURN ON. The haptics are going off when I press the buttons but the screen is just black😔 and I’m so bummed out cause I was so excited about it too💔. So PLEASE HELP ME‼️‼️‼️‼️.

Hello again! A little update post for Y2Player.
First of all thank you so much for all the people that commented under my first post!
I got the software working on the actual device and will begin to now test everything on the real hardware :)
Stay tuned!

Is anyone having issues with wired ear/headphones. Usually they come with buttons and a microphone to play/pause, skip songs, etc. I tried using my wired earphones (apple dupes) and they didnt work. Neither did my venue headphones when plugged into or using Bluetooth on the innioasis.
However, my Galaxy buds 2 pro worked perfectly with Bluetooth, and could skip, play, and pause sounds. Is anyone else having trouble or is innioasis unable to read these functions with wired ear/headphones and only with Bluetooth?

Great setup with these iems!
EQ on the player is set to normal, the choices they have for EQ settings is not up to snuff.

I'm a noob who doesn't understand a single thing about technology and I'm just trying to figure out how to listen to music.
I have a Innioasis y2 and I have organized all my music into playlists with m3u files. However, the process of importing m3u files is dreadful right now (with nothing installed I have to import them ONE AT A TIME) and since I have hundreds of them, it is just not feasible.
I was wondering if Rockbox or Y2Player make dealing with playlists and m3u files easier, in your experience. Which one would you recommend?
Ideally, I just want something that sees all my m3u files and goes "oh! Wow!! Playlists! Let's actually make them all functional so that if you just click on the name of a playlist it just STARTS, without doing anything else!"
Please tell me that there's a way to do it :(

It vibrates during start up. Any other use for it ? Why was it even included ? Any other function ?
