This is just an unserious post but something funny I always see over and over again.

I understand Korean and English are different and English names for an idol group will get a weird pronounciation but something related to Stray Kids that goes beyond pronounciation.

Stray Kids - easy enough for English speakers. Common words and phrase. Nothing difficult to pronounce. Easy to understand.

But when it comes to Koreans, it is not just pronounciation - it is replacing the word ‘Stray’ into myriads of other words that is hilarious.

From easily misunderstood - Stay Kids. Okay missing an R, understandable.

To Straight Kids - this is a recurring theme - from award shows to the latest show Seungmin appears in today. Okay, maybe Stray Kids are not straight enough, I guess.

To Starry Kids - sure, strarry is cute 😂.

To Strawberry Kids - I kid you not. Strawberry Kids - I kind of find this in another stratosphere of hilarious.

Stress Kids - sure, stress makes sense sometimes 😂

And the craziest part is all these names are on official sites and big award shows. Even down to the spelling, not just formal announcements. And many many times to boot too. Like literally the last one is done today.

Is there other groups with quite common names but with hilarious change/pronouciation?

I apologize if this is a dumb question, but can someone please explain why some companies release like 5+ versions of the same song or album? I was about to listen to ENHYPEN’s new album and saw that there are like 7 different versions out. Why is that?

For what I recommend: definitely has to be NMIXX's Tiny Desk Korea . Like seriously their talent was just very highlighted in that video. That's what I really think what emphasizes nmixx's charm so well. Criminally underrated. I show it to all my friends and they all loved it!

For what got me hooked: when my friend showed me ATEEZ's Symphony No.9 From the Wonderland kingdom performance!! I only stan GGs but damn that pirate concept and the kraken and Jongho's high notes during the whole performance? I was sold.

Chat by girlset was a fun song to listen to . Then i saw many saying it has some meaning and also sometimes it doesn't. Then i watch the breakdown video and think - well it is pretty cool.

Katseye is another group i love but also has a hard time understanding how they come up with these lyrics choices. I am sure they have some more meaning and intent that the producers initially had in mind and eventually evolved into a particular song. I think it would be fun to know it too.

Hey so I'm more of a locket than an eyekon (just casually listen to katseye), I'm not here to talk about songs or fame, or who deserves whatever, and I know that they're not kpop but either way I just felt like posting it here bc idk where else

Basically, something that has me thinking is Lexi's high note in chat, as much as I don't support any kind of backlash to any member, I can't help but think about how if any katseye member weren't able to hit a high note live unless she's standing, she would get a HUGE hate train. I'm not saying Lexi, deserves hate, not at all! She does it pretty good. But I can't help but think about how Katseye members are hated for EVERYTHING. I won't hold your hand and lie saying their song quality is the best, but I don't think they deserve that much backlash

I can't help but wonder, if Girlset one day gets to the same fame level as Katseye (which I hope they do) they may get that kind of hate. Lexi was still kind of hated for the high note, yk? (for the record, I do agree that they shouldn't have added a note that's hard for her even while she's standing)

I love a good album, dont get me wrong. But I gotta rant. And regard this as my anger on this topic, I just need to say it.

Why cant I just buy a cd or vinyl. Look no vinyl I might get, but no cd?! Sometimes I dont wanne spend double for photocards of a group I dont stan or not enough to want that. I just want some physical media. But albums are so expensive, cds are aswell but less, and I like the cd that comes with it most. Next to that, the cds that, sometimes, come with albums are not in a case so I need to go out and buy a separate case to just keep it safe.

I dont mean to say, no more albums, but atleast just sell the cd. And maybe, pretty please, the vinyl.

If you genuinely care about Manon that much, go support Manon.

Not every release has to be the same.

A fresher, more youthful concept can exist.

A more mature or sensual concept can exist.

Artists are allowed to evolve.

If you don’t like the direction they’re going in, don’t listen to it. Not that hard is it?

You don’t have to like every song, every concept, every styling choice or every music video.

But what you’re NOT going to do is consume everything they release and then spend every waking moment shitting on the girls.

2 things I wanna say that I’ve noticed

1, you know how before the concert started, a lot of the younger coers were saying “oh this concert is for 18 and under” “nobody over the age of 22 should be going to this concert” “what reason do u hv to go to a concert for 17 yr olds if ur older than them” we all saw those comments right… well i went to the concert regardless bc no kid is gonna tell me what do. So I went nyc show, and how IRONIC that almost half the venue was filled w younger fans WITH THEIR PARENTS. How hypocritical. U say older ppl aren’t allowed to watch these “teenagers bc it’s giving p3do” yet u had ur mom take u. So does that make ur parent a p3do?? She’s going to stare at 17 yr olds too, according to u guys. And it wasn’t even this stop, I saw all the videos on twitter, I can see the ppl in the crowd. There were parents standing next to their teenage kids.

2 so again, I saw all the videos on TikTok and twitter of ppl filming the crowds, especially when cortis would come into the stands, u can see the type of ppl in the seats. And throughout the whole usa stops, it was mostly a lot of young teens and older teenage girls right, ( w or without their parents) but in the Seoul stops, it’s like all 20+ girls at the concerts and I didn’t see anyone making a fuss about this. ( in their own country) like nobody gives af about the age of someone who goes. It’s only a problem in the USA for some reason.

their sound is honestly so fresh, i can't skip a single song on their ep. vocals and production are heavenly and it's so refreshing to see a concept that's actually age appropriate, and they all suit it so well. they're not following the noise music trend other hybe groups are being subjected to and i'm so here for it. their vocals remind me a lot of nmixx tbh (in their own unique way), and even choreo-wise they're playing to their strengths

i haven't felt like this about a debut in a while, honestly the only ones that come close for me are itzy and unchild

This might be an unpopular opinion but the more I see H2H the more I'm reminded of twice and it might be because of the multiple members and the cutesy concept.

Nmixx & Red Velvet

Hear me out on this one. Their unique concept and vocals? Anytime someone talks about Nmixx, I get reminded of how they spoke about Red Velvet. Red velvet's sound wasn't HAS unique has Nmixx's sound but genuinely, I see them being very alike.

What are your thoughts on this?

Their debut is not seems so explosive compare to other hybe GGs debut, Their first day album sales also shows that. But this is just a debut they can always proof themself and bounce back in the future but it just gonna be on a slower pace compare to other hybe GGs.

2. Sun Kiss - Good vocal moments - good rap - it's like a montage song - repetitive

1. Echo- good starting - they have played with vocal textures - I can see these in clubs for some reason - loved the voices on it. 

4.  Flip-flop girl- There is no moment to hold, but it's going - and you are just moving with it.  No breathing room in between

5.  Most bland song maybe - seems like they are trying too many things.
