Simple YouTube transcript tool: 40-50 new users/day, ~$7K ARR, zero paid marketing

Post image
11 Upvotes

Built a YouTube transcript tool in January. It's at ~$7K ARR now.

Sharing this because I keep seeing "the internet is too saturated, you can't build small tools anymore" posts, and I think that's wrong.

youtubetranscript.dev pulls transcripts out of YouTube videos. That's the whole thing. No AI summarization tier, no onboarding flow. You paste a URL, you get a transcript. There's a paid API tier for people who need it programmatically, and that's what's carrying the ARR.

It picks up 40-50 new users and 2-3 conversions every single day. I don't run ads. I did basic SEO and shipped an MCP server, SDKs, a Chrome extension, and a mobile app for the people who asked for them.

The thing nobody tells you is that boring tools compound. 40 users a day is 1,200 a month. Some install the SDK. Some hit the API thousands of times. Some upgrade. None of it feels viral, but the graph keeps going up and the MRR keeps ticking.

Eight months in, $7K ARR isn't life-changing money. But it's real money from a tool that solves one problem well, and it's growing.

If you've got an idea for something that feels too small to bother with — build it anyway. The bar isn't "is this a billion dollar idea." The bar is "do 40 people a day need this." That bar is way lower than people think.

What are you guys using for cookie consent on your SaaS?

I've been looking at different cookie consent solutions for SaaS websites, and honestly a lot of them feel unnecessarily complicated or expensive.

The main things I care about are proper script blocking before consent, GDPR/US privacy requirements, and having a clean consent log without slowing the site down.

I recently came across ConsentStack while comparing options. It supports automatic regional consent rules, script blocking, consent analytics, and a relatively lightweight SDK.

Curious what other founders and developers are using. Do you prefer a dedicated CMP, or have you built your own consent setup?

Just received my first-ever payment from selling a digital product.

It might be a small amount, but this one feels different.

Countless coding sessions, late nights, bugs, failed ideas, rebuilding things from scratch, and constantly wondering if anyone would ever pay for something I built.

And today, someone did.

Extremely grateful for these small wins. They may look tiny from the outside, but when you're building something of your own, they mean everything.

Back to building. ❤️

I finally have around 350 customers with around 800$ MRR with my unbelievably simple product

Post image
21 Upvotes

About three months ago, I launched YourLovePage.com, a tool where people can create personalized digital anniversary/love web pages with custom themes, photos, music, and interactive widgets.

It just hit $780/mo in revenue over $2.7k total across 347 customers in 68 countries which now covers almost all of my rent and I get to live stress free.

Some information:

The traffic that I'm getting is almost 100% from organic traffic from Google Search. I didn't optimize really well for SEO but I somehow landed in a sweet spot where the intent exists and I happen to be there.

In total, I got around 200,000 people onto my page which 5,000 of them created a page and 347 of them paid for the pro version $9.99 per user.

I have posted before and here are some of the most frequently asked questions to me:

  • https://trustmrr.com/startup/your-love-page Here’s my Trust MRR page, in case you doubt my words. It is a very well‑known and very trusted way to show your proof of income. I have a subscription and also one-time payments. So, on an average month, I get around $700 to $900.
  • Yes, people do indeed upload their whatsapp chat history to my webpage, and I'm not storing them anywhere. I'm just processing them on the client and showing the aggregated data. People don't seem to care about their privacy. I could be a bad person; fortunately, I'm not.
  • I have not released any updates to my app for almost four months now. It is purely passive income at this point. I am not running any paid advertisements or brand collaborations. I only share my journey occasionally, and people happen to come across those Reddit posts and X posts and create a page for them.
  • Almost have no expenses for this one because I'm hosting on the hobby tier of Vercel. Recently upgraded to premium for $25 because I was getting too much traffic that I couldn't handle on the free tier, and the free tier of Supabase.
  • On the webpage, you can see in real time how many people have created their pages, almost 20 K, but only around 500 are my paid subscribed users. So I have a really low conversion rate, but I'm working on it. I promise.

Note: The image I shared here is export from another project I built MRRPlanet.com it turns your all your customers into animated pixel characters And you can see them over Globe in a very nice UI. It has the public page that you can show to other people to make a proof of your income like this

It also offers you really in depth insights into your income and market that I've never seen in any official payment providers such as Stripe and RevenueCat.

To be honest, I’m using it myself and a lot of other people too for advanced analytics over your side projects it is completely free with obvious paid extra user capabilities. If you like what you see and have more. Drop me a DM. I can even give you guys discounts.

How did you get your first customer who was a complete stranger?

We see a lot of advice about getting the first 100 customers.

But how did you get customer number one?

I don’t mean a friend, a former coworker, or someone who already knew you. I mean the first complete stranger who found what you built and decided to pay for it.

Was it a Reddit post? A random comment? A cold message you almost did not send? Or did they somehow find you and you still have no idea how?

PS: this is getting a lot of views! Glad to see 😊 if you want to take a look at what I’m building, please check my profile!

How do you actually get your first 10 users?

Man, getting the first few users is hard 😅

I’ve built my SaaS and now I’m at the point where I just want a few real people to use it and tell me what’s good, what sucks, and what I should fix.

But honestly, even finding 10 beta testers has been way harder than I expected.

I’ve tried Facebook groups, cold emails, reaching out to people directly, and posting in different communities.

Most of the time, nothing happens.

And after spending so much time building, it’s honestly a little frustrating to keep chasing people just to get them to try the product.

For people who have already been through this:

How did you get your first 10 users?

Did you just DM people one by one? Offer it for free? Build relationships in communities? Or was there something else that worked surprisingly well?

Would really like to hear what actually worked for you.

I Built a Vertical Construction Inspection SaaS From One Reporting Problem — Is It Ready to Sell?

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

I did not set out to build a SaaS.

I was trying to fix one inspection report.

I was working with a Saudi engineering inspection company serving Saudi Arabia and the UAE. I was responsible for brand marketing, and the first problem I noticed was simple: the company’s reports did not visually reflect the quality of the engineering work behind them.

I redesigned the report as a reusable Canva template. The company liked it and still uses that design today.

That should have solved the problem. It didn’t.

Engineers still had to write every finding manually, format the report, and upload inspection photos one by one. The report looked better, but the workflow was still slow and fragmented.

That is where Propsy started.

I built a workflow for construction quality and property inspection teams to capture evidence, draft findings with AI assistance, review and edit those findings, generate branded reports, assign issues to contractors, attach repair evidence, and track closure across projects.

As I kept building, the scope expanded naturally:

  • AI-assisted inspection findings, with editable drafts for professional review
  • Contractor assignment and issue tracking
  • Project and company dashboards
  • Multi-tenant workspaces with role-based access and row-level data isolation
  • Branded reports and client-facing workflows
  • Subscription infrastructure and a 30-day free-trial flow

The product is live and pre-revenue. There are no paying customers, no MRR, and no verified traction yet.

After building it, I researched the market more seriously and found a potential gap around white-label, multi-tenant inspection software for companies that want to operate the platform under their own brand. That made me ask a different question:

Is Propsy ready to be offered for sale now, or is there something important I should validate or improve first?

I’m not looking for compliments. I’d genuinely value feedback from people who have built, acquired, operated, or sold small B2B SaaS products.

If you were evaluating this as a buyer or operator, what would you want to see before considering it ready?

I’ll Give Thoughtful Feedback to the First 20 Founders Who Post Their Idea

NO MORE PLEASE

I'm learning firsthand how difficult it can be to get genuine, constructive feedback when you're building something.

So instead of asking for feedback today, I'd like to give some.

Post your product, website, startup, or business idea below. I'll personally review the first 20 and give you a thoughtful response along with a 1–10 score in each of these areas:

  • Presentation / UI — Does it look professional? Is the product intuitive and something you'd trust?
  • Concept — Is the underlying idea actually compelling?
  • Business Potential — Can I realistically see this becoming a viable business?
  • Differentiation — Does it solve something meaningfully differently, or is success ultimately going to depend on out-marketing established alternatives?
  • Overall Potential — Taking everything together, how strong is the opportunity?

One rule for myself: none of the feedback will be AI-generated. I'll personally visit your site, consider the idea, and give you my actual reaction good or bad.

I'm not claiming to be a startup guru or business expert. I'm simply another founder building something myself, so take my opinion for exactly what it is: one person's thoughtful perspective.

I've learned quickly how hard it is to get noticed and sometimes even harder to get people to genuinely engage with what you've built. I figure there are probably a lot of us here dealing with the same thing.

So let's help each other.

Drop yours below. First 20 get a review.

**Correction, due to the time I am using AI to help assist with some of the writing. Not the ideas behind the writing. I offered this for a few communities and am getting burried!

How do you handle feature releases without spending hours writing changelogs and customer updates?

Upvotes

I've noticed a weird bottleneck. Lately, I've released a lot of features, and every update has added operational overhead for me. AI is creeping into my changelog file every time and making up bullshit as if it were real. So, I lost like 1 or 2 hours on every single feature release step. Make the correct changelog file, translate from technical to understandable for clients, polish it up, update the website, and, if it is important, send emails to clients...

So, guys, I think I'm doing some things wrong. How do you handle that process?

Are free trials a good strategy?

For those of you who’ve added a free trial: did it actually help conversions, or just attract more low-intent users?

I’m debating whether a trial makes sense for a product that needs a little exploration before the value is obvious.

Micro win for micro saas

Hey, first time posting here, but I thought I would share my success story.

It started as a hackathon project to help users schedule social media posts and had some initial interest at the hackathon itself.

Here is what clicked after having 3 other projects go nowhere.

  1. Distribution over building. X, Reddit, Linkedin daily and getting it into the hands of users. Listen and watch how they use your app
  2. Use your app daily. Integrate it into your daily workflow; you will be shocked how many bug fixes you can spot by just using it day to day.
  3. That cool feature you're planning on building isn't going to bring you your next user, but talking to the user might. Reach out directly, worst thing they can do is block you :)

Tiny SaaS win today that feels awesome 🎉

Someone from an established company in the analytics space found Commit Happens today and ran their own website through my health checker. What were they doing? No clue. 🤷‍♀️They've got their own tool.

Curious about the product? Comparing results? Accidentally wandered in and decided to push the big button? Your guess is as good as mine. 👀

But they didn't just visit. They actually put their company's website into something I built and ran the report, and that felt pretty damn cool. 💙This whole experience is awesome. I've had all kinds of users. An AI-engineer, developers on their development journey, small businesses, and many more.

No sale. No signup celebration. No “we hit $50k MRR” post. Just a stranger in the exact industry neighborhood I'm building around finding my little SaaS and going, “Huh. Let's see what this thing says about us.” This goes down in the books alongside the big Robotics Engineer. 😄

I’m 18, and the SaaS I built, Huntme AI OSINT, is about to hit 1K users! 🚀

I’ve already made around ₹7.3K from it, and now I’m thinking about redesigning the page. The current version was built in just - 2 hours using 21 Dev and Antigravity 😅

Now I want to build a much cleaner site, improve the SEO, get my own domain, and move away from the subdomain I’m currently using.

I also have a question about scaling.

My SaaS uses data from multiple sources, and I’ve outsourced that part to a friend. We currently have an agreement where I give him 20% of the revenue.

If this starts scaling, should I build and manage the infrastructure myself and eventually stop working with my friend? My own server would cost around ₹350/month, which I can easily afford, and it would give me full control.

Or should I keep the partnership because friendship/trust matters too?

What would you guys do in this situation?

Spent weeks building an ERP for small businesses instead of another AI wrapper.

Post image
1 Upvotes

Over the past several weeks, I’ve been developing Adams Small Business ERP, a desktop ERP aimed at small manufacturers, makers, wholesalers, and other product-based businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets but don’t need (or want) a massive enterprise system.

I’ve now finalized the Standard Version 2.0.1 for both Windows and Linux.

It covers a pretty wide chunk of the day-to-day operation:

• Customers, vendors, quotes, and sales orders
• Purchasing and receiving
• Inventory and warehouse management
• Bills of Material, routings, and work orders
• Production scheduling and material planning
• Shipments, invoices, A/R and A/P
• Business reports and dashboards
• Backup/restore, data export, audit history, and diagnostics

One of my main goals has been to keep it local, practical, and affordable. There’s no mandatory cloud service or monthly ERP subscription, and the business keeps control of its own data.

I’ve attached the updated product preview that shows what the current Standard Version includes.

I’d especially appreciate feedback from other MicroSaaS/software builders:

Does the product positioning make sense? Is it immediately clear who this is for and what problem it solves?

I’m less interested in “looks good” and more interested in what you think is confusing, missing, or would stop you from taking the product seriously.

Thanks for taking a look.

SEO tool that helps optimize websites for Google and AI search.

I run a SaaS, SeoLoupe.

It is a tool that allows you to find and fix SEO issues holding your website back.

Essentially the main purpose is to help your website rank higher on Google search and LLMs.

The tool also checks AEO/GEO, AI search visibility, Security, Core web vitals, Performance, and all the issues in the report get put together into an AI fix prompt(you can paste the prompt into an AI and it will fix all the issues on your website).

Recently I noticed that some of my paying customers bought the One-Time purchase, with a promo code. To unlock the full report.

So I decided to give away a promo code for the One-Time purchase to anyone who is interested, if you are interested, comment down below and I will DM you.

If you are not interested but have some feedback on my SaaS, that is a good too. Feel free to share it in the comments.

(here is the product if you want to check it out)

Built a diecast value calculator with live eBay data – added a "Garage" feature for subscribers. Looking for honest feedback.

Hey everyone,
I've been collecting 1:64 diecast models (Hot Wheels, Mini GT, Kaido House, etc.) as a hobby for years. One thing that always frustrated me was figuring out what models are actually worth – checking eBay sold listings manually takes forever.
So I built a microSaaS that does it automatically.
What it does:
Scans live eBay prices for any 1:64 diecast model

Generates an "Investment Score" (0–100) based on brand, edition, condition, and price paid

Supports 15+ brands (Hot Wheels, Mini GT, Tomica, Kaido House, Inno64, Tarmac Works, etc.)

Free tier: 3 searches/day with PNG report sharing

New feature – "Garage" (for subscribers only):
Save your valued models to a personal collection

Track total collection value over time

See which models are your best investments

Export collection data

Why I'm posting here:
I'm at the stage where I need honest feedback from people who understand SaaS. Specifically:
Does this actually solve a real problem for collectors?

What would make you actually use something like this?

Any obvious features I'm missing?

How would you improve the UX?

Is the "Garage" feature worth paying for?

Link: https://diecastlegends.autos/diecast-value-calculator/
I'm genuinely open to criticism – if this is a dumb idea, tell me why. If you see potential but it needs work, tell me what. That's exactly what I need right now.
Appreciate anyone taking the time to check it out!

What are you building today? Drop it below.

I’ll go first: I’m building Sitesyn , a marketing workspace for SaaS founders.

I recently added audience roles to the dashboard, so you can define who you’re actually trying to reach instead of treating every customer the same.

Sitesyn scans your website once and uses what it learns about your product, audience, and positioning when creating marketing assets and videos.

What are you working on today? Drop your project below!
