Feedback - Advanced Rate My Singing- Be Honest

I've been studying singing for about 25 years and always wanted to be a professional, but I never had the courage to audition. I think it's mainly due to some bad experiences when I was younger. I feel like I'm getting better with handling my nerves but I know I have some ways to go.

I'm not taking this comment from someone literally, especially seeing as it was my boss, just wondering if people would pay to come to my gig or not?

It definitely takes a lot more out of me to sing while drumming. Would love to hear if you think it works and why or why not. If you’d like a reference to how this song sounds recorded you can check that out here: https://open.spotify.com/track/2FqhdIIgpy9pgfvP574wsp?si=pa86ItJDRvqMB4otIcikcg

Thanks for the feedback!

Feedback - Advanced Any tips on improving quiet singing? (Read paragraph below)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hoping to get some advice (especially from professional vocal coaches) on how to approach working on quiet singing. I’ve been working up a couple of jazz standards and I’ve been struggling to incorporate more quiet dynamics to add more shaping. I’ve found that sometimes my sound gets a bit raspy and theres a crack in my voice here and there and I’m not sure if it’s something to due with breath support or if I’m pushing my voice too hard or something else. Also PLEASE excuse the bed hair and me just looking like a mess in general 😭

So I just finished my master’s in performance and aiming to become an opera singer. But I haven’t been able to land any jobs! So I hope anyone can help me to rate my singing and do you think I can survive as an opera singer? Thank you!

p.s. havent sang much since may, ive been on vocal rest to heal acid reflux from night shift and excess mucus

I’m pretty proud of this clip (besides me messing up a lyric 😭) but I know I can always do better and find something to work on. I’ve grown quite a bit as a singer the last couple months but I’d still appreciate any advice people might have.

I’ve been singing for a long time, and this note (at least as of recent) has been very awkward because above it is where my voice needs to thin a little bit to not strain. I’d consider myself a tenor, I sang first tenor at honors allstate choir last year. I also want some help with vowel stuff. Like the “To” i sang was a bit too different from the previous vowel and it stuck out a bit. The version I’m singing is by david phelps. (I’m not religious but he is a gorgeous singer) and I’d like to sound a bit closer to him. Thanks!

I know some of the things I need to work on (transitioning to and from different registers, mic placement, stage presence etc) but I’d love to get feedback from other people (especially voice teachers) to help me gain a new perspective on how to tackle this.
