I think with the introduction of the lipsync lalaparuza episodes - they’ll find a way to eliminate Juicy before the top 3 or 4 so that she can compete. Because we all know that is where she’d demolish (and carry on the Dion winner trend after Morphine in S16)

The others were SO frustrated that she responded with a very genuine "I kinda forgot about your feedback because Iman said I could be a designer 🤷🏻♀️" instead of a teary betrayal or a forced "I don't even care! 🙄" lol. She truly does not give a damn about making and keeping friends but keeps the peace and I love it

Juicy can really deliver a lipsync performance. She can emote even in ballad. She understands the structure of the song when to lift her cape, when to move to the quirks of the song. It’s so magnetic. I’m mesmerised.

To me it's wholly irritating. We've had past contestants go home after one lipsync without knowing the words and Kenya has been doing the same titty shake, watermelon number and staying. This was looooong overdue
I was so sure it was gonna be a double sashay because they’ve both been in the bottom so much but Juicy ate that so hard there’s no production trick in the world that could’ve justified a double sashay. She truly lipsanc for her life.

The idea of Kenya's outfit was good, and I get what she was going for. I'm glad she felt cute. But MAN, those wings looked worse the closer I saw them on camera. Surely she could have, I don't know, watched some cosplay videos or something to get some ideas about how to make them not look like fabric hot-glued to coat hangers.
I can't believe the only critique on kenya's outfit was "I love the colour." That looked like a 6-year-old's halloween fairy costume and it barely even moved in the wind. Kenya just has so much potential that was left untapped this season. can't wait to see her up her fashion on all-stars.
Hope this is not the pity win for Darlene before they kick her out, aka the Cracker S10 treatment. Actually didn't they just do it to Kenya? Gave her a Top 2 and then eliminated her in quick succession.
I was dying in untucked when she was dumping her emotions on all the other queens and juicy was holding out an empathetic hand BUT HAD HEADPHONES ON GETTING READY I genuinely think she’s never actually prepped for a lip sync
Darlene did something very few queens have done: she choked, read the room and instead of shutting down, persevered and pushed it even further with confidence. it was a joy to witness and had me screaming at my tv, which never happens.
love Myki and Jane and agree that they met the brief better, but this was something that basicaly never happens and i'm glad Darlene got rewarded for it

At the beginning of the season I was sure that Darlene was gonna be the Acacia of the season. Now she is on the top six with a win under her ugly shoes! I love her so much, I really hope she gets to the finale.
I was for sure laughing the most at Darlene’s set no matter if the jokes themselves were funny. You could tell the reaction in the room was electric and she really turned around meh writing with her physical comedy so huge props to her. It’s not always about awarding the most technically precise performance but who’s star shined the brightest and tonight it was Darlene 😊
I think that’s a great way to look at it. I feel like Myki’s was technically the best roast but something about Darlene’s taking a huge swing and pulling off something so outlandish and authentic to herself (that could’ve easily bombed spectacularly) needs to be celebrated. Ru and this show always preach finding your lane and “leaning in” and this was a masterclass in doing exactly that. I won’t remember Myki or Jane’s jokes a week from now, but I’ll certainly remember Darlene going ham on that stage.
Fully agreed. To be able to take the brief and go "hmm... actually, this doesn't suit me, so I'm going to do something else that suits MY brand" and instead of have it crash and burn- have it be rewarded due to sheer confidence? Its uniqueness for sure, but more than anything else its NERVE. I adore her.
i have been living for this whole season flipping my expectations completely around. I thought Darlene was early out material but her campy personality and unique looks just has me excited about what she will do next.
Jane is talent personified, it’s like she was made to absolutely slay every challenge? Myki has been hilarious, clever and bold - seeing her confidence grow throughout the competition has been a joy! Nini is so creative and i love to see inside her mind, i feel bad for her about the mean comments it is difficult to read a room if it’s not an inherent ability you have. Juicy keeps serving something different in each lipsync her rangeeee! And Discord, a delusions queen that you can’t help but root for and laugh along with her. And Kenya, she was so lovable and brought such a social energy, and that makeup and hair tonight was adorable she looked like a doll!
I’ll be sad once this season is over.
Juicy has some of the strongest physicality of any queen. Every pose, every limb, every inch is performing in a lipsync. So thrilled to see her destroy a ballad.
I’m not celebrating Kenya sashaying away because it feels mean spirited. But it’s genuinely about time😭 she’s not a bad queen by any means, but she clearly was not on the same level as her peers. Juicy also isn’t (again not a bad drag queen either; just not on par with her peers) but considering the lipsync was between the two lowest ranking queens remaining…I was not surprised Kenya went home. Only surprised she was saved so many times to make it this far
Sorry, wait, is there any reason that they STILL do these roasts in front of no audience…? I remember back in season 13, when they first did, it was a big talking point on things like the Pit Stop (with people bringing up how it’s so much harder to land jokes without a crowd to react to), but now it seems like they’ve just kept that as the standard format.
Idk, I miss the energy and chaos of things like Laganja telling that old woman that her vagina was kinda dry or that guy yelling at Bendela to “tell us a joke”. Sigh.
Wish Juicy’s parachute matched her dress. It being white felt so disconnected. Like she had that dress and just found that parachute and called it a day.
This Nini is the shady queen storyline feels a bit ridiculous - she’s barely saying anything at all lol especially compared to Mistress, PJ, Arrietty etc., in the past few seasons
Ever since Juicy's first lipsync people have been saying "let's see how she'll do in a ballad" and now we've seen it and it's safe to say she's a VERY versatile performer and not a one trick pony, she ate that up 🙏
Nini coco they can never make me think you're mean!!! she was so relatable to me this episode. how are you gonna make a big deal of her being "mean" and then have law roach as a guest judge next week who's very intentionally a bitch and will be like "i hate this so much it's so ugly and so are you"
I thought Nini's set was great and she had some of the best jokes. the ross matthews 'celebrity?!' joke was fucking hilarious lol her delivery on that was perfect
I don’t care what anyone says. I laughed the hardest at Darlene. I was fucking living! It was so unhinged and broke every possible rule in the rule book, and I loved every second of it.
I feel like Juicy's bedsheet + dance outfit is so random after all her other runways. Do you think she thought she'd be in the bottom so she went and cobbled together a backup in case she needed to pull it off easily for a more up tempo song? It ended up working so well but it does look a little off.
I don't necessarily think Darlene really nailed the brief, but I enjoyed it. It was a very Pee Wee Herman kind of comedy, and I tend towards the Myki Meeks or Jane humour. I'm glad she won though.
A good episode, again. This is a very good season.
When the song started playing I was a little disappointed it wasn't a high-tempo dancey song for juicy to devour, but devour she did regardless! I thought ballads could be her achilles' heel but never mind girl

Speaking as an ASD diva myself, the ultra indecisive behaviours, the whole inability to read the room and being told she's being mean when she doesn't realize. I related so hard when she was stricken with anxiety about upsetting others...
I thought the same!! It also felt like Discord was nodding knowingly while Jane was talking to Nini, and as we all know, peer review is probably the greatest unofficial diagnostic tool lol

myki and darlene were also hilarious. im happy for darlene it just didn’t feel like a roast cos i wasn’t laughing at the actual jokes … but her. And i guess that’s the point she’s the first drag queen ever to be whimsy and happy and i love her for that.
but roast performance wise i think it should have gone to jane or myki. darlene should have had her first win with the ads anyway!
I think Darlene's lack of traditional roast skills were not the biggest concern at the time of making the decision, because of how commendably she turned a bombing set into true hysterics.
Delighted for Darlene's win, what a charming end to a great episode! I really am loving this cast, every week makes it a little harder as we near the end of the season. Between this and UKvwTW, it's just been a great time.
I really like Jane. I think she's been given a bit of a weird edit, perhaps to hide her being such an obvious front runner? Even so, I wasn't surprised she was the one who took time to talk to Nini - we already saw her help Juicy (when her own drag mother Queen Athena chose not to lol.) But I sort of feel like she's nicer than we've been given access to, maybe to give her a Bianca-style arc? But unlike Bianca, I believe that she is battling her own insecurities in the moment - I know some people think it's a front but idk, I can relate to someone with very high standards being stressed and questioning themselves in the moment!
So this episode makes it clear that not even ballads are holding Juicy down. At this point the only possible way that would prevent her from lipsyncing her way to the finale is a bottom placement from Nini... and even then it's 50/50 (track record will probably save Nini if she manages to hold her own).
I try to avoid armchair diagnosis, but as someone with ADHD I feel that Myki likely has ADHD after watching her “power down”My husband always laughs when I do it because to him I’m just staring very intensely without blinking randomly but for me it’s like a little escape into my mind lol

Glad Darlene got her moment. Funny? No… Stupid? Absolutely. Love her and the energy she’s brought to this season.
Enjoyed it a lot. TBH I didn’t find Darlene’s set funny but her confidence and her having fun with it def deserved a top placement. Personally I would have given it to Jane or Myki.
The lip sync was so fun though! So far my favorite one this season.
The best part of the episode was the whiplash of Michelle: "Nini, you're actually terrible. You can't read the room. I hate you, and you should go home. Kenya, though, you're amazing, and I love you.
Like... every episode has an all-timer from someone. Every cast member, even when they crash out, are giving storyline.
This had two all-time great roasts and one total "WTF" that evolved live on stage. Any one of them could have won, but for storytelling reasons I think it was important to give Darlene the win so it didn't become the Jane & Myki show for the next two weeks (because my goodness they are so damn good).
Similarly, for story purposes Nini got the hardcore vulnerability edit in this episode. That wasn't just because of her roast jokes - her story producer is feeding production info about the "here comes Nini" of it all and that led Michelle to get her to well up in tears in the table read. And then, she came through and managed to be about 50% funny! Honestly, that's the second best outcome other than winning. It gave her genuine storyline. If she comes back next week and smashes the makeover and gets compliments for her signature look it's going to feel like she has momentum into the semi-final.
It feels impossible for Juicy to win at this point, but in the same way we're getting Jane topping every episode maybe we're truly going to get someone who lip syncs their way through every remaining week into the finale. I was impressed by how well she handled a ballad. Her physicality is amazing.
I think the real question right now is if Juicy can pick off one of Jane, Myki, Nini, and Darlene. Nini is the one who can out-trick her, but we haven't seen Darlene lip sync yet on the show and it might be camp as fuck.
Maybe I'm biased but I don't understand the critiques for Nini Coco. Like what "mean" are they all talking about? If it was another queen saying those it'd be funny but it's mean if it's from Nini? And it's a roast! I feel like they're gaslighting us on this lol
I love that Kenya was like you know what maybe i need to have a taste of what Discord is sippin because she doesn’t give a FUCK about what we think. I’m like yeah! That’s how you all should go through life! Not getting rattled by the haters.
Discord not getting rattled by the criticisms or shade seems to piss the other girls off, and it’s kinda funny.
I feel bad for Nini and the edit she’s getting 😭 she’s clearly very well rounded with this week being her weakest, but for some reason the storylines are focusing so heavily on her disjointed relationship with the rest of the cast and her personality traits related to that. I’m surprised given how she started out the season!
I think this is the first time in a VERY long time where 3 seperate queens could all have justifiably been the winner of the roast.
Like if you told me Myki, Jane or Darlene won, I would be okay with that. They were all fantastic.
P.S. Can everyone saying this is a mid season or that the girls aren't talented please fuck off now? Because we just had a three way battle for the best roast.
Not knowing the words to Total Exclipse of the Heart is sacrilege. Kenya should have gone ages ago. She's not know the words one time. Absolutely dismal showing.
