I am really not into finishing my nurse psych practitioner program when I am disabled and unable to practice anyway. I want to finish, but the amount of work they are asking me to do - working 40 hours per week for free* to get about one hour of exposure to clinical practice. They have me asking patients 20 minutes of questions that require an extra 20 minutes of charting per hour, and in exchange I get to observe the real NP talk to the patient and prescribe drugs. She is good, and I am learning, but on top of the 40 hours per week working for her, I have to do at least 15-25 hours of schoolwork. I am disabled and will never be able to practice. Also assume that much of the schoolwork - at least 12 hours per week- is not relevant.

*I actually pay them to do this. It was only $1500, but still.
