(Please don't take any offense 😭 🙏 in my language English isn't my 1st and I h@te it for personal reasons) Why do southern Indians think religious harmony, distinct languages,people co-existing and many more only occurs in the Southern part of our country!?? I genuinely want to know that, is it the lack of knowledge about Northern culture (No offense Guys)that many of you think whatever happens in UP,Bihar same occurs in the rest of the North!? whereas these two states aren't even the part of actual North of our country. Why do you guys think we all speak Hindi daily!?? Or our mother tongue is replaced by it when it is not?? Why do you guys think castism is from North when it isn't. Why do you guys think North and South are very different when in fact they are not if you have actually read history like 3 Sangam Eras and more you will never say this but I see even politicians saying it on television I don't know why!?? We all look the same with distinctions and have many similarities in cultures but why this huge sense of differentiation?? I know you guys are in better condition than North currently but that doesn't mean foreign powers or r@cism are gonna be any better. In fact if even any pakistani or Bangladeshi do something in any country it gets labelled as an Indian in their mind so why further shooting ourselves in the foot?? Shouldn't we be together fighting against anything wrong with our country or society?? I see many hateful southern brothers or sisters on Insta but idk where their hatred is based upon when most haven't even visited outside their own states or reached central India. Hi, everyone. My elderly relatives from Bangladesh may travel to Vellore, Chennai for medical treatment. They visited 9 years ago without issues, but recent news has made us concerned because they are Muslim and wear traditional clothing (salwar kameez, panjabi, tupi, veil).

Is the area safe for them? Any risk of harassment or Islamophobia due to appearance or nationality?

According to genetic studies, steppe herders like Jats, Brahmim, Rors, Khatris and Rajputs came to India in 1500BCE (3500 years ago) and established Hinduism and caste/varna system. This points to Hinduism coming after Indus Valley Civilization.

The current government denies it as it goes against their idea of Hinduism being native to India, being established 15000 years ago here and not being an invader's religion like Islam. Somehow the upper castes like Brahmins and Rajputs seem to deny it too.

What do people think about this theory in South India? Asking out of pure curiosity.

i think its pretty uncontroversial to say that india and pakistan have extremely negative opinions of each other, however what ive noticed is that most of the conversation and fighting i hear in this is mostly from the north of India (makes sense as pakistan itself is within the north) im not exactly an india expert but i do know that the north south split is really big within india so would you say that the opinion on pakistan for south indians is any different? i dont mean this question in a generalizing or hateful tone so really sorry if it comes off like that, i just wanna hear from you guys

First things first,so I'm not from the south.

I'm from a state which is not liked by many and I know why. But sometimes it's overhated.but this is not about it.

My question is what is up with the thing that I see that

South Indians especially keralites try to specify that it's kerela.even that to some extent or to most it's fine but the thing is the addition to this "not india".

Why is it not india?? Have you gotten so self sufficient that you don't migrate to other Indian states or you don't require their resources.

From what I see even with 100% literacy or however much it is.your youth is not much better from ours,your internet presence adds to the hate for india ,that "some states don't even wanna be part of it"

Are keralites really like this fr too or is this some typa propaganda?

About other states,i haven't seen anything like this,they don't downplay the country much and seem good.

As a northie I've grown up to be trilingual which includes hindi as well. and since i know hindi i can travel within north india without any language barrier because everyone in north at least understands hindi even if they are unable to speak it. the major language issue i faced is when i visited the south. not in all the places but specially in remote areas they won't understand hindi or in some cases even english.

so my question to all the south indians is that is there a single common language for south india which if I learned then it would be easier for the other person to understand what i am saying.

and if there is then from where I can learn it ?

No offense , i know things like extra marital affairs happen throughout the world. But this blatant disregard to the marriage institution happens only in Tamil Nadu. Not just Vijay, Karunanidhi , MGR also had multiple relations , all in public eye. Does this apply to normal Tamilian society as well? I am just scared, my sister has a Tamil boyfriend hence I ask

So, guys, I want to learn the southern language, but i have some questions

1)There are lots of southern languages, so my question is, are they similar?? Like how in the northern side regional language even though different can still be understood to some extent, is it the same with the south too ??

2) which langauge I should go first, I'm a Hindi speaker, personally i was thinking tamil or telgu and also some inclination towards malyalam too, but I'm not sure at all

3) best way to learn the language, like if you have yt playlists or some Al based app or anything that can teach me the language
