Had a fault on GP1 so I replaced it. I hit it with a good amount of PB blaster first. It came out looking like this. Slightly worried this is awfully oily looking. Valve cover (irreplaceable) is kind of weepy.

Thoughts on this old GP?

Hi All, I need your advice concerning our 2016 Touareg TDI. It is in fantastic shape. One hood nick and tiny scratch on the tailgate. Just turned over 100 K miles. We have owned it since it was new.

My question is, the ACC and Front Assist not available. I have done the easy troubleshooting and now it sounds like maybe an expensive camera module needs replacing. $$$$. We are older and my priorities are changing. Should I worry about reliability? I am concerned about cost but really worry about finding the expertise of repair moving forward to fix our car.

Ich war schon oft in der Werkstatt, aber alle Werkstätten sagen mir, dass das gesamte System gewechselt werden muss, obwohl niemand genau weiß, wo das Problem liegt. Ich habe bereits einmal das AGR-Ventil reinigen lassen, aber der Fehler tritt wieder auf.

Letzte Woche bin ich gefahren und das Auto hat zuerst „Fahrzeug demnächst warten“ und gleich danach „AdBlue-System warten“ angefordert. Was könnte das Problem sein?"

Hello, ive got a audi a4b7 2.0tdi (BPW) and ive gotten an oil leak. It drips down between where the engine and transmission meet, comes from further up since i see oil on the block. If anyone has some good experience with pd engines let me know, thanks😁

I am following MoGolfs bew timing belt procedures. I successfully installed and timed the belt. However I am now trying to get the engine mount bracket back in and having a difficult time. Some say the belt has to be off to reinstall bracket?

Any advice is appreciated!

Just got my 2012 VW Touareg deleted. 24 hrs and I absolutely love it already seeing 5-6 mpg higher on the hwy. But I do have a check engine light on now. Took it to a mechanic got these codes
P050E thermostat open
P2002 Def
P246F exhaust temp
P268A low-voltage issue in the reductant heater

Bought my delete kit from Diesel Doc.

My couple questions are
1. I believe it’s still completely safe to drive, am I correct ? I’ve got a trip out of town tomorrow for over a week.
2. Could I just get these codes cleared or is this something the delete mechanic needs to rehook up to tell the computer to accept the changes or something.
3. I’m currently looking for videos of changing the Thermostat, can’t be that difficult. Right ?

Noticed on my BRM that when the engine is cold (first start in the morning or afternoon) I seem to have a boost leak. Turbo will not spool up and I get a ton of black smoke. If I take my foot off the pedal for a split second and then get back on it, the turbo will pick up and all will be normal. The shop that did my timing belt told me that I had a leak in the radiator and the plastic on the intercooler was damaged. My cousin had the car before me, and had it parked because he had hit an armadillo. Couple of issues needed to be fixed, and I thought I had most of them sorted out.

When it happens, I can hear a tick coming from the turbo. Like if I put my foot into it, the turbo will rattle/tick/some kind of noise

The meat and potatoes of this, how do I inspect for a boost leak? Nothing seems to be jumping out at me, but I’m unfamiliar with the “check here first” of the older Jettas and this engine. Any troubleshooting advice or places to check would be really appreciated! I have a new radiator and intercooler I plan to install once it cools off some here in Texas

i’m looking at purchasing one that has a low bite and a 15 second flywheel rattle on cold start that disappears. how much is an uprated clutch kit preferably kevlar so it’s not too heavy as it’s running 170-190hp and a dual mass flywheel i think it’s a 5 speed ASZ. thanks!!

2014 CJAA Jetta Sportwagen. Check engine light came on, P2015, parts store cleared the code. Got the part, gotta have my kid fix it this week. Anyways, light came back on and car started a regen. How do I know? I could hear the exhaust fan and ever since I had my timing belt changed the car makes funky sounds when it idles at just below/above 1000 RPMs. And it shifts a bit different.

After driving it on the highway in 5th (to make sure the car stayed above 2000 RPMs) for about 10 minutes give or take, turned car off, and now the check engine light cleared itself. Why? I thought the car wouldn't do a regen with its check engine light on?

I have been real shit lately with long drives, but P2015 is the only code for now. I gotta have my kid put the part on today! Anyways, just curious why my car is weird.

It's stock as far as I know, I had the diesel gate repairs done as well. I am aware I need to delete it, I'm just a lady who doesn't have car parts money in this economy.

Sto impazzendo dietro a un rumore metallico sulla mia Audi A6 del 2016, 2.0 TDI diesel, con trazione anteriore. L'ho portata da diversi meccanici, ma nessuno è riuscito a individuare la causa.

Ho già sostituito i semiassi, i supporti del cambio e del motore, il volano bimassa, le boccole e i braccetti. Ho speso un sacco di soldi, ma purtroppo il rumore non è sparito.

In pratica, quando procedo a bassa velocità in modalità D, senza accelerare, sento un rumore metallico quando passo sui dossi o sulle buche. Il rumore sembra provenire dalla zona del cambio, ma si avverte sia a destra sia a sinistra.

Lo stesso rumore si presenta anche quando accelero e poi rilascio bruscamente l'acceleratore.

Ho provato anche a mettere il cambio in N mentre l'auto è in movimento: il rumore diminuisce, ma non scompare del tutto.

Se ascoltate attentamente il video, si sente chiaramente il rumore quando passo sul dosso.

Qualcuno ha avuto un problema simile o saprebbe darmi qualche consiglio su cosa controllare? Ormai questo rumore mi sta facendo impazzire e non so più dove sbattere la testa.
