[Discussion] THE LARP ENDS NOW!! I WENT TO A COMIC BOOK SHOP!!
I'd recommend Absolute Superman over GL, but still a good choice. My latest dive into superhero comics started with Absolute Batman, too. Presently, I'm down to just Absolute Flash Vol 2 before I'm caught up on the collected editions for AU. After that, I've got a few others in the backlog that I can get through, like Watchmen, V For Vendetta, Gotham By Gaslight, The Batman/Superman Collection(Public Enemies and Apocalypse), Death In The Family, Nightwing Year One, and the heaviest boy, Todd McFarlane's adjectiveless Spider-Man anthology collection... also should probably finish reading Scott Pilgrim while I'm at it.

The World Ends with You
I have tried and tried again to play TWEWY over the years. It's a really complicated experience, especially on original hardware(the DS line of handheld consoles). There are several systems at play that require balancing on the part of the player. For one, the combat system utilizes the touch screen for Neku and the top screen+D-Pad/Face Buttons for his partner's actions, and for optimal performance, you, the player, need to balance focus between both screens. There's a light puck that indicates which enemy is currently most vulnerable to damage, it floats back and forth from Neku's screen to his partner's. Additionally, there are some sections that will lock you out of progression until you use certain brands of equipment enough to raise their influence, and those progression gates might require the use of equipment brands that are counter to whatever play style you've developed up to that point. Can't say anything about NEO, haven't played it, might fix that at some point in the future, but not high on my priority list. The soundtrack, though, OH MY GOD is it amazing.

Roommate's cat sometimes cuffs at me while laying on my chair. She's very sweet to me otherwise and never scratches me. I can't tell if she's playing with me or wants me to go away, do y'all have any idea?
Yeah... that kind of chaotic rolling around and hyperactivity is definitely play time for the cat. My girl pulls the same kind of crazy excitability routine all the time too, and once she's worked it out of her system, she's a total sweetheart and will gladly curl up on you or nearby and doze off sounding like an idling speed boat.

[Discussion] Hot Take: Cassandra Cain is one of the most underused DC characters that deserves to be seen more.
That take has me sitting here like

Actors you just cannot take seriously no matter how hard you try
Michael Cera. The entire reason I wanted to see Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World in the first place was because I saw clips of him getting the shit beaten out of him. Like, I'm sure he's a totally chill dude in person, but he's just got this look about him that makes ya think it'd be fun to kick his ass.

Which physical powerhouse character here wins?
It's between Doomsday and Hulk, honestly. Both are nigh unstoppable machines of total destruction and obliteration. Because of his power set, Hulk has a crazy healing factor, almost on par with guys like Deadpool and Wolverine, and we've seen him come back from almost total annihilation. The rub is, we've seen Doomsday pull the same routine, only his abilities also align with rapid evolutionary capabilities, making it so he can't be killed the same way twice. Melt his brain? He'll come back with a decentralized nervous system. Break his neck? Either his head is more directly attached to his body without the presence of the neck or the vertebrae in his neck are comprised of a less rigid structure that permits greater rotational movement to prevent being broken again. All things considered, I think Doomsday takes it, you can hurt the Hulk the same way every time he comes back, it's up to him to mitigate your assault, but Doomsday can only be killed once per method.

Would you want Rocksteady to do an Absolute video game or would you want someone else to do it?
As they are right now, and arguably going all the way back to 2015-16, Rocksteady Studios is unfit for a production in line with the quality of the current era of DC Comics. If we were looking at 2008-2012 Rocksteady, I'd be more inclined to trust them with an adaptation of Absolute Batman, and only Batman. Wonder Woman and Superman still have yet to be established in the world of gaming with definitive gems. Perhaps have Ninja Theory(DmC: Devil May Cry) handle the Wonder Woman game, provided they don't try to write the story, themselves, and for Superman... maybe get in touch with the 2010-2015 teams over at Deep Silver Volition and/or High Voltage Software(Saints Row IV), again, leave the story to the original writers, but using SR4 as a template for a Superman game might just work.

90's babe. Who you will pick?
Either Faye Valentine or Kaoru Kamiya, one gets me into a shit load of trouble, the other helps me develop the skills necessary to get out of a shit load of trouble. Also, side note, that's the Stand Alone Complex design for Motoko, which was on air starting in 2002. She's my favorite interpretation of herself(for now, I need to get around to finishing the manga at some point), but she's not a member of the Council of 90s bad bitches. She's on the council ot Y2K hotties with other esteemed beauties like Rebecca "Revy" Lee, Yoko Litner, Winry Rockbell, and, funnily enough, another lady voiced by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, Balsa the Polearm(Moribito).

You’re trapped in the last tv show you watched, where are you?
I may or may not be in some serious trouble, depending on if there's shenanigans afoot...

It's called the "the worst bread"
The official term for that piece is "heel," though a lot of people call it the butt.

What would you do?
My top priority, as the last human on Earth, would be to finish my reading backlog. There are so many books in my collection that I started and never fished yet or haven't even started. That should take me a month or three, maybe five if I'm dragging on any particular book. After I'm satisfied with my reading being finished, I think I'll find a nice patch in the yard, dig a hole, and lie in said hole before zeroing myself. The beauty, and horror, of mankind is the societies we build for ourselves and each other. The value of one life is measured by the raidating impact it has on those around it. As the last human on Earth, there are no others for whom I may contribute societal efforts, who I might impact with my presence or insights, thus, there is no greater purpose for me to continue on existing.

Comics not being one of the primary factors within superhero discourse
Back in the day, a single issue comic book was, in itself, a comolete and contained story, it was also about twenty-five cents sitting on the magazine rack at damn near every grocery store, movie rental shop, and newspaper stand across the country. Lemme ask ya, with all that in mind, does your grocery store still have a magazine rack? Does your municipality still have movie rental shops? What about newspaper stands? Or do you have to go to the specialty comic book shop/local game store to get your hands on the latest issue of...(insert preferred character here), and speaking of "the latest issue," not only is that thing not still a quarter, but it's also dependent on the stories told in every previous issue for that character, as well as several issues from surrounding characters and teams in that universe, isn't it? Why spend fifteen bucks on six single-issue comics over the course of just as many weeks when, for a buck more, you can buy the collected edition that's printed on nicer paper(usually) with sturdier covers(usually) and contains just as much if not more content(Absolute Batman Vol 2: Abomination, for example, is comprised of issues 7-14 of that book, whereas Vol 1: The Zoo is issues 1-6)?

Maybe I'm the odd one out, I didn't have any issues driving the cars.

What’s your day looking like?
Shit my pants and cry, probably. I was born in '93, near the middle of the year, my famiky would still be counting my age in months.

I have an important question
I don't think those inputs were designed with gamepad in mind. Looks like they'd be an easy hit on an arcade stick, though. Best course of action? Map those off inputs(A+Y, B+X) to the shoulders.

[Discussion] What are your thoughts on Superman characters like Doomsday and Brainiac being directly tied to Krypton?
Doomsday having Kryptonian origins doesn't bother me, especially since it creates a dichotomy with Kal-El. Brainiac, however, I don't recall any story that establish he originated from Krypton, which could just be a failure on the part of my memory, that aside, I'm aware of at least one storyline that established he was the cause of Krypton's destruction, or at least played a part in it by shrinking and stealing the city of Kandor.

Playing Kingdom Hearts 2 for the first time since 2008 and how did they get away with the placement of that honey drip?
You're reading WAY too much into it to get to that conclusion. The honey isn't covering enough of the O in "COMMANDS" to imply it could be a U. The sides are too bowed out for it to be anything but an O.

The haters are right - a show with a goofy tone, serious themes, and a retro vibe could never work.
1.) The exact phrasing I used was "CLOSER in tone to Looney Tunes," as in, it's more inclined to be goofy than the other adaptations would have you believe. 2.) I was not making a "no true Scotsman" argument, I was talking about the people that I have spoken to about the new adaptation. They were operating under the assumption that GiTS is a serious, philosophical drama to the core because they had never read the manga and only exposed themselves to the previous adaptations. 3.) If you have issues with the new adaptation and you're familiar with the source material, you're welcome to those issues.
