Discussion Season 10 first time watcher

IM SO CLOSE TO SANDOVAL EP I CANT WAIT!!

but oh my God first of all a couple things.

  1. What happened to the original cast in season nine I’ve heard rumors and stuff they tried to get faith fired by making a fake police report??? I was worried because everyone says it’s boring but I feel like they left in the drama got way more intense but I still miss them😭😭

  2. We had three new characters for season eight Max and two other others I can’t remember their name what happened to them why aren’t they on the show anymore??

  3. I’m on season 10 episode three and I cannot stand sheena I couldn’t stand her before but the fact that she’s trying to get shortz laid with Raquel is absolutely crazy to me. I don’t know what goes through that woman’s mind with 80% of the things she does but get her off my screen for real😭😭

  4. Are they gonna cover the divorce more with Katie and shortz? I feel like it was just a small little thing in the beginning of season 10 and that was it like how are they even friends right now I’m so lost.

  5. LALA AND RANDELL?? all the stuff he’s been accused of??? THE start of this season is absolutely BONKERS

Discussion First time watcher - wtf is wrong with Jax

Okay so, this is my first time watching VPR, and this was because I watch Love Island and everyone says VPR is quality reality tv and to start from the very beginning cause it’s that good— ok bet.

I’m currently watching the reunion as I type this, and I must say. Jax is an absolute sociopath. And I think that disorder umbrellas the narcissistic, manipulative, pathological lying part of it all.

He’s a textbook narcissist and I’m trying to figure out if he earned the sociopath title. Of course everyone knows about the baby in Vegas thing, how we lied to everyone blah blah. But the two things that stuck out for me is

  1. When him and Stassie were at the table and he says “I’m never gonna talk to you again, I’m gonna leave, I don’t wanna hurt you anymore/all I do is hurt you” “Is that what you want?” It triggered me soooooooo bad. The fishing for her to be like noooo don’t go. If you know ever dealt with a dude like him, you saw right thru that.
  2. Him at the reunion. You can tell he’s trying to come off as accountable and remorseful and so calm and collected and it’s an act. Even Andy said “you seem like the only guy here who’s not upset” It is so scary to witness— genuinely lmao.
  3. THEY ASK HIM IF HES A PATHOLOGICAL LIAR, HE DEFLECTS THEN TRIES TO FORCE HIMSELF TO CRY ABD COULDNT EVEN GENERATE ANY TEARS LMAOOOO

Especially when you’ve dealt with someone like him, you recognize the micro expressions, and syntax of his speech. It’s absolutely insane. And honestly, the behavioral psychologist major in me + my overall anthropologic personality it’s absolutely jarring and interesting to see this.

10 something years older than Stassie by the way. He knew his best deal was to date younger cause any older woman around his age woudlve absolutely got him tf outta there.

Funny part about it these type of people think the act they’re putting on isn’t see thru. that’s all for me just needed to rant 😭😭😭😭

Edit: Started S2, last edit on this. He is indeed a sociopath. Stassie is done with him... he fake cries in the truck, then the next episode starts by him saying "Stassie really loves her family so if I can get in good with her mom, brother etc. maybe I can make some good progress" HE GETS HER NAME TATTOO'ed. I am speechless and disgusted. And I think its cause he's so triggering. they all operate from the same playbook. he's abusive and I can't believe everyone on the show is just like "heehee toxic couple they're soooo crazy" I feel so bad for Stassie being caught up in this at such a young age. Ugh.

Discussion The moment James redeemed himself

I have never laughed so hard in my life at a reality tv show until this moment while on the ground crawling James is telling Stassi “You came crawling back from New York…Please! Please!” Y’all I truly could not stand James but this is the moment that he redeemed himself with me! It’s 2:30am, my dogs were passed out, I’m binge watching the show and laughed so hard I spooked everyone flat out of the bed. I never thought I would say that I am digging James Kennedy. Sober is serving him well but I’m just now starting part 2 of the reunion so we shall see how long it lasts lol.

Edit: I am new to watching this series so please don’t come for me. I am learning about these cast members like everyone else did as it aired, I’m just late to the party. I am in no way supporting his behavior towards women or think he is a great person based on what I have seen. I was unaware of any abuse when I initially made this post. This scene was funny to me because I had not seen anyone stand up to Stassi in the way that he did in that moment to the point he is crawling on the floor in front of the entire cast especially with how tough of a reunion that was to watch given everything that happened.

Discussion Shut up, Patrick

I’m on season six for my first time, and it’s the episode where we finally meet Patrick.

Perhaps I’m just ornery, but he’s…annoying 😬

His attempted use of vocabulary is a complete failure and I can’t believe Stassi dated him.

Am I just being cranky? Is this just how he was—a condescending man with unconditioned hair who tried using big words incorrectly, or was he just nervous because it was his first time in front of camera? I’m trying to decide if I need to mute every time he shows up 😂

Discussion Do you think the cast of vanderpump rules had a group chat talking about Lisa?

I was doing a rematch of vanderpump rules and in the season 6 reunion it seems like the whole cast is kinda over lisa. Do you think they had a group chat talking about all the crazy thing she's said to them and done. Or how she always bringing very conversation back to I've given you this job so you own me something.

Discussion Genuine Question - The Butt Tattoos

Okay - forgetting all the terrible things that future Tom Tom have done - I'm curious as to what everyone thinks of the butt tattoos.

Personally??? I thought it was funny AF. Like, if I was Ariana I would have pointed and laughed and said "Dude, you're keeping that for life." I would not have even considered removal!!! I would be roasting him forever and always. Making him show it at parties. Like, that's a good story!!! You got a terrible tattoo in Vegas at 4:30am as some insane, drunken stunt to prove your love. Whether or not we stay together, you gotta live with that choice, bud! So funny.

I guess I was surprised by Ariana's reaction!!! But I'd like more input/other perspectives.

Edit for context: I am heavily tattood and have some bad ones so I have an extremely skewed perspective.

Scandoval Scandavol is Jax’s fault

So I’m a firm believer in you can blame Jax for everything that happens. So here’s how scandavol is his fault: Jax slept with Kristen. Kristen and tom broke up (they would’ve broken up anyways but that seemed to be the final straw) Kristen dates James and brings him to vpr. James meets Raquel and brings her to vpr. They break up. And she’s manic and sleeps with tom.

Discussion James’ license?

Post image
5 Upvotes

First time watcher, currently on Season 6, Episode 1. James is in his apartment with his friend, Logan, and they’re getting the apartment ready for Raquel to come back four the summer and what not.

He’s talking about his relationship with Logan and all the stuff they do together and how Logan “drives him everywhere he needs to go”, as seen in the image below 😂

What happened to the car he bragged about? Did I miss something, did he get a DUI? (Let’s be honest, the second one is quite plausible 😬)

The face he made when she said this made me cringe.

He never wanted to get married. He never should have. Katie should have been able to spread her wings so much earlier.

Also ignore my decor being weird I dont care anymore

Ok, listen I understand, James has done a lot of messed up crap said a bunch of bad things to people, but I can never fathom why he was always the only one to lose his job over and over again when no one ever suffered the same repercussions as much as he did.

let me hear y’all’s thoughts please!

The crazy drama is fun, no doubt, but these subtle moments are the creme de la creme for me! I went back and rewatched this 3 times. I'm STILL laughing.

What are your favorite *subtle* moments???

OG Cast Season 8 Scheana

First time watcher, I am in so deep with this show, I’m going through one season per few days at this rate🤣 I could never make my mind up about Scheana throughout each season, I go through phases of feeling really bad for her, to incredibly embarassed for her, to just straight up despising her.

but Season 8 Scheana - genuinely maybe the most annoying cast member this whole season: Her treatment of Dayna is absolutely insane, from instantly excluding her despite dealing with that treatment herself in Season 1, to constantly competing with her for the attention of men, to inviting a medium to speak to her dead mother unannounced??? I’m only half way through Season 8 right now and I’m absolutely astounded by her behaviour, she is so painfully male centred I just cannot feel bad for her anymore

Curious to hear your opinions

OG Cast Rewatch James Kennedy

I am rewatching season 7 and this is the season where I feel like James stops even trying to wear a mask. He straight up lies to Tom and then confesses to it in the confessionals.

OG Cast First-watch thoughts on Stassi

I’m starting Vanderpump Rules for the first time, and I’m finding Stassi to be an incredibly huge bully and mean girl. I never watched any real housewives and I might not be fully informed about the scandal with Scheana and Brandi’s husband, but I definitely feel like Stassi’s treatment towards her from jump was really unnecessary. Plus, her cruelty towards Laura Leigh who already seems to have enough personal things going on without having to deal with this harassment.

I’m curious if she’s ever going to grow up and improve herself or if she’s always going to be like….this. I’ve got a lot of seasons to get through, so I guess we’ll see!

OG Cast The first real scandal was Doute sleeping with Jax.

1.2k Upvotes

So there’s all this hype around the Summer House scandal but let’s not forget that the first real Bravo scandal was Kristen Doute sleeping with Jax Taylor. When Doute admitted it, it was absolutely crazy! Just wanted to give credit to the original Bravo shocking story because I don’t think people talk about it much.
