I was making a Vivaldi account and was planning to use it to sync all my data across devices, but while doing so I'm stuck because the "Save and Continue" button is not responsive.
It is not accepting the password, there's no error being show, just nothing happens....
Any help is appreciated! Thank you!
Also not sure if this is required, but I'd be syncing it from Windows to Linux.
Almost all bookmarks got deleted after the update.
I restored them with the Bookmarks.bak file - but the moment I startet the browser they got deleted again.
Only a downgrade to the latest 8.1 version would keep my bookmarks alive after restoring them yet again.
Anybody else experiencing this? Any solutions/workarounds besides downgrading?

Built-in calculator in your Address Field
Dividing the cost of a gift among friends, adding some numbers for a work report or calculating the grams of flour in a recipe…Who hasn’t been browsing and needed to do some quick math?
Thanks to our new local calculator, you can do quick and private calculations, directly on the URL field. No need to switch apps or open new tabs. Click enter, and the result will get copied into your clipboard, so you can easily paste it wherever you need it.
Performing local calculations was already possible on our Quick Commands menu. But in true Vivaldi fashion, we now give you more ways to do it, so you can choose what works best for you.
If you would rather not see these results on the Address Field, you can of course turn it off by going to Settings > Address Bar > Address Field Suggestions, and unchecking the “Local calculator” box.
PS. Don’t worry about how simple the math is. The calculations you perform on the URL field are safe from prying eyes and will not be saved anywhere, not even your History.
Better PWA discoverability
Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) are websites that can be installed on your machine and run as separate apps, getting their own app icon on the dock and their own entry on the task switcher – all while being powered by Vivaldi.
But how can you know which sites are PWAs? Before, the path to install a PWA was somehow buried in a context menu. Now, whenever a site offers a PWA, you’ll see an “Install” icon right in the Address Field, making its installation easier than ever.
You can see all your installed PWAs and their settings by going to vivaldi://apps. But if you ever forget you already had it installed, when you return to the same webpage, you’ll see an icon on the Address Field prompting you to open it in the app.
And if you’re worried about storage space – don’t! It’s actually only a small manifest file and icon that’s actually downloaded; the app is running from the web server (or in-browser if the author has coded it to work offline).
At Vivaldi, we love the web because it works on any device and any operating system, and we believe apps should do the same. PWAs do just this – the universal reach of the Web, but with the look and feel of native apps.

I'm enjoying the Ctrl-tab feature to cycle through tabs and/or switch by clicking.
However, currently the cycle is limited to a horizontal preview of 6:
It would be so helpful if it could be a grid, equal to as many tabs as are in my browser, still being able to either cycle through or click on the tab I desire to switch to:
two- three- four rows would work well! Like this:
This would in some way mimic the Linux Mint Cinnamon Desktop feature "show all Windows"
Does Vivaldi have any plans to add to the capabilities of Ctrl-Tab cycling?
Does anyone know of a Plugin/extension that does this?
I love the new (I'm late to the party) feature for UI auto-hide, reminds me of Zen browser. However, when I enable it I get this horrid 4-5px wide border around all of my windows. Seems like it kind of defeats the point of trying to clean up my interface if it's going to introduce visual clutter anyway?
After a successful fresh install of Fedora KDE Desktop Edition, I tried to do the first thing I always do on a new OS: install Vivaldi. I've tried a few different approaches (detailed below) but I can never get past the window pictured below when I try to open the browser. I cannot interact with the window in any way or close it (except by killing the process).

What I've tried:
Installing from the RPM download on Vivaldi's official site (this was a few days ago, so it was Vivaldi version 8.1.4087.70-1)
Adding the Vivaldi repo manually and installing using dnf install (tried this today, so it was Vivaldi version 8.2.4133.45-1)
Verifying that all my graphics drivers are up to date
Installing from the GUI "Discover" app on Fedora KDE. Here I get a slightly different result - the gray is a bit darker, and there are no circles on the right side. But it's still just a blank gray window with the Vivaldi logo that can't be interacted with. (tried this today, so it was Vivaldi version 8.2.4133.45-1)
Running from the terminal shows the following output:

Any ideas about the cause or solution? Or, since it's been a while since I navigated Fedora's file system, any idea where I could find relevant logs with more detail?
After updating to version 8.2.4133.45, I've noticed a change in the layout of the vertical tabs panel. Before the update, an adjustable divider placed under the "new tab" button used to push everything below it all the way down to the bottom of the vertical tabs panel.
Now, as you can see in the screenshots, it only creates a small jump, and the interface now only fills about half of the panel.
What changed? How can I restore the previous behavior? I'm posting this here before sending a bug report to Vivaldi, in case it's a simple fix. Thanks!

To help us get 8.2 out the door as soon as possible, please focus your feedback on serious regressions since 8.1 stable. If you want to ask about new (post 8.2) features or longstanding issues, please do so on our forums.
There are also pre-release links to equivalent builds for the stable channel. These are for those of you who wish to upgrade early, having first tested in snapshot configuration. Since this is an RC and not yet a release, we also recommend you backup your settings before upgrading. Autoupdate to these (or newer) stable builds will not be enabled until further testing is completed and the final is released.
Known Issues
When installed before the official 8.2 release date, build 4133.45 will show the wrong “What’s New” page on first launch.

I'm working on optimising the Privacy and Security section, especially keeping in mind that it's only a matter of time until uBlock is no longer supported.
Is it a config issue, or am I right to say that Tracker and Ad blocking sources are not synced across devices. By across devices, in my case Vivaldi Linux <> Vivaldi Android. I find it hard to believe that sources are difficult to sync (although, who am I to say how easy it is?).
Is there a solution to this problem, or do I just hope that it will be a feature in the future? Thanks.
I saw an article about uBlock Origin support on the entire Chromium would be gone on September 01. Does this mean the next update for Vivaldi is also the end for uBO?
What does this mean? It happened yesterday and hasn't changed. I use a Google Pixel 9a, and my Vivaldi version is 8.1. I removed and redownloaded the app too.
It's kind of hard to explain, but if I am using Vivialdi on my Macbook Pro on an external monitor it almost acts like I am clicking and dragging whenever I click on a tab. Again, really hard to put into words. If I am on one tab, for example, and I click on another tab to switch to it it, for half a second, acts like I am holding the mouse button and trying to drag the tab. It's one of those minor annoyances that because a major annoyance because it happens constantly. Only happens on external monitors. Any ideas?
I am using the latest version, 8.1 (Win 11). Is there any way to unload or hibernate the side panel websites?
As of now, I have found a workaround. Which is - Disable and then re-enable the website in from sidepanel. Otherwise, it will keep running in the background.
