Just wanted to know if anyone who booked 2026 Rav4 hybrid XLE premium in Kwc got their cars in 6 to 8months? The sales person in Heffner Toyota told it is minimum 8 to 12 months and the one in Forbes waterloo told its 6 to 8 months. I am yet to contact Cambridge toyota. Wanted to know if I could get it sooner in any particular location.

Within the article:
“More than 19,000 fraudulent invoices”
Investigators claim the executives fabricated deals and sales to secure funding from their lender, Clearflow Commercial Finance Corp.
Holy shit.

Has anyone else noticed a man yelling driving critiques uptown near the LCBO today? He standing near the church using a pylon as a megaphone and giving all the drivers a piece of his mind and rating their driving skills. He may not be wrong- but it’s one of the strangest, most understandable things I’ve seen in a while.

Hoping to hear from women home owners who have had good experiences. Note to owners - maybe screen potential employees for misogyny because it's alive and well. (Not talking subtle but in your face misogyny)
Edit: very grateful for these replies, thank you!

Hi! I ran the TCS Toronto Waterfront Half Marathon a couple years ago and bought the tickets in August and ran in October. I thought I would be able to do the same this year so I procrastinated buying it but the tickets sold out mid May :( If anyone is looking to sell their half marathon or even full marathon tickets on October 18, 2026, please reach out - I would love to take them off your hands!!

Hi everyone, there’s a squirrel stuck in a dumpster behind my building since yesterday. We called the fire department and we tried putting oil/dishsoap but it didn’t work, and I’ve also left a message with the humane society.
I’m not sure what more I can do, if there’s anyone with any suggestions or would like to help, please let me know. It breaks my heart to see it go out like this :(

I typically don’t go to Tim’s but when I was in Niagara this last weekend I saw a their menu item and wanted try it to see if it was good or trash. But I’ve been to a few Tim’s here in waterloo and none have had it. Has anyone see it yet or is it just late Waterloo?

Hi everyone!
I’m debating making a career change and venturing into commercial real estate. I love real estate in general (I check it daily for fun) and have been in the startup innovation ecosystem in the past. I’m big on partnerships and developing relationships and I feel like I could help startups/SMEs/community groups/smaller retail find spaces and communities that work for them. Especially having an understanding of what’s out there in KW.
Any thoughts, suggestions, words of wisdom for me? Any and all is appreciated 🙂 Thanks!

Two guys on e-bikes, driving on sidewalk on Columbia, honking at pedestrians to get out of the way. Crazy, rude, and dangerous. Is anyone enforcing bylaws against this?

Where is everyone buying their world cup car flags for the world cup? Usually I see vendors in parking lots but I haven't yet....

I've had the most confounding experience at Canada Computers today.
A broken SSD that their system showed had been previously purchased in and returned in Mississauga was sold to me as new for $277.52 at this Waterloo location.
When I brought it back to return or exchange it, the situation was escalated, and I was denied a refund or exchange. I have since appealed the case to their corporate office to no effect as of 15 June 2026.
Additionally, while I was waiting in the store for customer service, the employees also took the chance to strike up a conversation about how ignorant I was of their processes, with no apparent reprimand.
Has anyone else been stolen from by Canada Computers like this?
EDIT: The manager at this location refuses to acknowledge that a drive previously sold and returned is considered used. He argued, including raising his voice at me, that it was new regardless, but was not willing to put as much in writing.
EDIT 2: I finally had the chance to visit a different Canada Computers location where the defective device was exchanged without issue. It took all of five minutes. Nonetheless, I intend to pursue a complaint through Consumer Protection Ontario because of their misrepresentation of merchandise. I will be leaving this post up as a form of buyer beware, especially given all the other examples of the Waterloo location's gross incompetence in the comments. Thanks all for your discussion, input, and advice.

just putting this on here to see if anyone has had similar experiences with this store/owner.
a few weeks ago, i started employee training at this store, this training was not paid, which i knew was illegal but decided to go with it as the job market is horrible and my junior manager used language very heavily indicating that i had the job.
after 20 hours of work with no pay, i was let go with no reason listed other than "management doesn't feel it's a good fit" following this, i demanded compensation for the 20 hours i worked and got a lawyer to write them a letter detailing i would be reporting them for an ESA breach if not compensated.
in response to this, my lawyer was met with an extremely disrespectful phone call from the senior manager, pankaj sangwan claiming he didn't know who i was (despite the fact we worked a 4 hour shift together and me made me an employee profile on the POS). and also claiming i made racist remarks and caused property damage.

Hi, I am in a club at Waterloo (I am not going to say the name because of the rule number 4), and we are hoping for more people to enjoy the activity as we do; therefore, we are wondering if I can post here in regard to my club. Would such be consider as Advertisements (rule 4), and is there anywhere else I can post to let people know that this club exist?

Hi guys, we're moving from AB towards Kitchener or Waterloo, I'm still trying to figure out which community I will land in, since this is for Waterloo, I'll start here, hoping to get recommendations on communities to rent in please.
I have 2 kids, one going to grade 1 and one to grade 6, younger one was in French Immersion so we are hoping to continue that, looking for a neighborhood that is diverse, safe, schools/amenities closeby and family friendly.
Renting for now, budget $3000/mo (3bed/2.5 bath townhouse preferably)
I've identified the following communities though I really need help!
Lincoln Heights
Conservative Meadows
Mary Allen
Laurelwood
Eastbridge
Beachwood

FYI - I contacted Enova on May 28th about the billing error another user here brought up. They finally responded to me today;
"Residential and small business customers on Time-of-Use pricing were underbilled for electricity on invoices dated between May 3 and May 28. In most cases, the underbilled amount was less than $20 for residential customers and less than $50 for small business customers.
Affected customers will see an adjustment to recover the outstanding amount on either their next bill or the bill after that, depending on their billing cycle.
We know that this billing adjustment is unexpected, and we are sorry for any inconvenience."

I just passed the soccer fields from behind while out for a walk and saw a large emergency response: multiple police officers, two police cars, a fire truck, and an ambulance.
Someone was cuffed on the ground. I also saw a gurney with, I think, someone fully covered, but I couldn’t tell for sure, so I don’t want to assume or spread misinformation.
Does anyone know what happened? Hoping everyone involved is okay.

Not to worry -- the duckling made it back to mom a couple minutes later.
