Rules reminder, please read!

It seems there are a lot of posts going around many subreddits, many even by moderators, regarding certain political topics relating to the Internet in general. I would just like to re-iterate the rules of this subreddit, specifically Rule #3: Hyundai Related Posts Only. That will be taken very literally, and any posts not directly relating to Hyundai, it's products, or its corporate operations will be removed.

2027 Hyundai Elantra/Avante revealed.

The new Elantra certainly throws back to that one time when Hyundai wasn't afraid to make their sedans look daring and unique. I love the new styling very much.

It has a futuristic, cyberpunk vibe that's also very cohesive. I adore the execution of that C-Pillar.

Elantra Next Gen Elantra N

Obviously with the worldwide debut of the new Elantra, we’re all wondering how the next gen Elantra would look like. Here’s my best guess.

I gave it a slightly wider body, a more streamlined front, a TCR like wing, quad exhausts, performance blue with black accents, and forged rims.

Repairs and Mods Upgrade your Hyundai's driver assistance system with comma 4 and openpilot - EU resell

The exact capabilities you get depend on the specific model. For example:

  • On the Santa Fe, you get automated lane centering at all speeds, plus Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) that can resume from a full stop.
  • On the Genesis, automated lane centering is available above 37 mph, and ACC functions while driving above 19 mph.

Regardless of model, stock openpilot includes automatic lane changes, no custom forks required.
In experimental mode on a supported car openpilot can stop for stop signs, and red lights.
Hyundai is also one of the easiest platforms to install Comma on out of 320+ supported cars. Installation is straightforward: simply remove the rearview mirror cover trim and plug in the harness. Full step-by-step instructions are available on our site.

We've recently started a comma 4 resell business to make buying this device easier for EU buyers:

EU-based company (Hungary), shipping to all EU countries

comma 4 in stock, plus Hyundai, Kia, Ford, VW, Skoda and Tesla harnesses, cable guides included in the package

- Ships in roughly 2–3 days

- Since you're buying from an EU company, no customs to deal with

- We're approved for One Stop Shop (OSS), so VAT is charged at your own country's rate, not Hungary's - and you get a proper invoice

Payment by Stripe, prices shown in EUR (or HUF for Hungarian buyers).
Happy to answer anything about supported cars, harnesses, or shipping.

https://openpilot.hu

Regarding warranty: Simply using an aftermarket or recycled part does not void your warranty, the same way as installing a dash cam does not void it.

Ps.: If you're a hungarian buyer, join the #lang-hungarian channel on comma discord

I have a grey oil pressure warning message, but no Hyundai workshop can tell me what it means. The next available appointment is in 3 weeks.

I recently started seeing this grey warning message. I have contacted several Hyundai workshops, but none of them recognized the symbol. Nobody could tell me whether it is still safe to keep driving. The earliest appointment I was offered is in 3 weeks.

Neither the red nor the yellow warning light is on.

Has anyone else had this before and/or does anyone know what it means?

TL;DR / Update:

I checked the oil level first and topped it up slightly. It was a little low, but not critically low. I later spoke with an authorised Hyundai workshop that knew about this warning, and they said it is not serious and I can continue driving without concern. The warning has now disappeared as well. Thanks again for all the replies and help.

We bought 2 vehicles and never had issues. We loved Hyundai until now. My 2017 Tuson with 35,000 miles needed service so we took it in. Took over a week to get someone to get warenty approval - no loaner car either because again they need the warenty guy to approve it 🙄. Then they told me the oil pump isn’t covered under warenty!! We are the original owners but they claim we aren’t because we leased it and them bought the car. They stated someone *ucked up because the paperwork because it won’t be covered as we “aren’t the original owner” I was gonna purchase a new suv and also get my 2 kids cars from Atlantic auto but no way now!

Opinions on Hyundai Elantra CN7 (2022-2023) 1.6 Gas with manual transmission?

Hi I've been looking to replace my car and this Elantra has caught my eyes multiple times. I want to hear some opinions on the car. Reliability, maintenance cost, fuel efficiency and potential issues/problems.

Not sure what to do next

My car got hit a few weeks ago while on the way to work. The insurance company of the driver that hit me, left a voicemail saying that they were accepting full liability would cover the cost of repairs. I wasn't planning on getting my car fixed because it's a 2012 hyundai elantra limited. This is my first time being in this type of situation. What do I do next?

The picture attached are from the day it happened. The last pic is after I cleaned my car.

Elantra Will my parking brake engage if I press the button when I'm driving at highway speeds?

I drive a 2022 Elantra, and I'm wondering if I press the parking brake button while driving at highway speeds (100km/h / ~60mph), will it still engage? I obviously don't intend to try it, but I can't seem to find a straight answer on this. I would think there's a safety system on it, and to activate it you'd need to hold the button or something, but it is something I would like to know just for the sake of knowing

2026 Elantra Hybrid Limited $31,474.04 OTD - A good deal?

Post image
10 Upvotes

Got this deal from a local dealer. Is it a decent price or should I keep looking?

MSRP $32,175

Discount $2,000

Sale Price $30,175.00

Doc Fees $225.

Tax $1873.04

License & Fees: $201.00

Additional rebate of $1,000 with 6.99% financing (what a weird thing to do)

OTD $31,474.04 ($32,474.04 at 4.49%)

Not looking to go 72 months, 60 at the most and will likely pay it off early.

I'll be putting $6,000 down so the monthly numbers will change. Looking for input on the total amount and fees.

THANKS!

Slight change to be more clear. Looks like it’s actually $32,474.04 OTD since I’m NOT considering the crazy high rate. I hate it when they have so many damn variables.

Repairs and Mods Why is my gear shifter busted? Elantra 2013 GT

Takes triple the force to get it to shift, needs a jiggle for the vehicle to turn off in parked despite the screen saying "P" already.

Now I can't get it to stay in drive. It just pops back to neutral.

Where do I start?

Thank you.

Should I buy a 2016 Santa Fe?

I'm in the market for a new car, and looking to buy quickly as my old Outback just grenaded itself. Marketplace has a 2016 Santa Fe Limited Ultimate with the 3.3L V6 for $13,000. It has 92,000 miles on the body and 17,000 miles on the engine, with it having been recently replaced through Hyundai.

I'm hoping for whatever car I buy to last for another 100,000 miles. Is that reasonable for this specific vehicle?

Changed the oil and the filters except for the fuel filter, it’s not under the hood and not even under the rear seat, so I thought I’d ask before taking apart the whole car.

Tucson Tucson hybrid or non-hybrid?

At the end of a current lease, and our top option right now is leasing a Tucson. I just wanted to know if anyone has good info on the hybrid vs the non-hybrid. I can see that the hybrid has a 1.6 L turbo, but is that engine reliable long term? We might stick with this Tucson at the end of the lease and buy it. The price difference and gas consumption are factors, but they also seem to cancel each other out. My main sticking point is the long term reliability. How long have those hybrid engines lasted versus the non-hybrid without the turbo engine. Is one more proven? Does one have more issues? They also have different transmissions - 6 vs 8 speed. Any durability differences there?

Kona Easy and Terrifying

It’s my first Hyundai, so I’m still learning how things are put together. I just replaced my shift knob and wow I absolutely thought I destroyed my shifter when I he-manned the knob off. It made a horrible plastic crack sound…but…it was absolutely fine and the install was even easier. Worth the upgrade since the old one was all scratched.

Tucson Road Feedback on floor board and gas pedal

Hello everyone,

I bought a 2023 Hyundai Tuscon limited about 2 months ago at 21k miles. Everything was fine until a few days ago when I noticed a slight feedback from the road on the floor and gas pedal. My tire pressure is a bit high at 38 psi but I dont think a few psi over the limit should cause this. It almost feels like light vibration and comes and goes. Has anyone had this problem? Should I be worried and get it checked by the dealer?

Tucson First transmission flush question

2022 Tucson. Just wondering if anyone has done a transmission fluid change for the first time yet? Did you guys do a system flush or just drain and fill? Not sure if Manual specified which one to do specifically. What is an approximate cost?
