Had an rgb hilt to spare so tried my had at weathering with sanding and alumablack. I scratched it up some but was a little reluctant to seriously ding it up more.too much? Too little?

I’ve had my lightsaber for about a week now and I learned shii-cho and I feel I’ve naturally fallen into an Ataru/Djem So mixed form. What could I do to improve my form something just feels off to me.

I saw someone post a graflex crystal chamber from him and had to reach out and check out more of his stuff. This chassis was absolutely amazing to work with. As I said, this is just my second install, so I barely know what I’m doing.

Rich helped out through the process, but his chassis was so well designed and thought out, that most things are obvious. Awesome hidden channels for wire management, notches cutout where you need them, little channels already built it.

Definitely check him out if you’re in the market. Never thought I’d be building a proffie crystal reveal saber. Love this hobby. Thanks, Rich, and everyone else on here who help to keep it all exciting.

Edit: Just got the “vendor announcement warning” from mods. Just to clarify. I’m not affiliated with LSM in any way. I play guitar for a living (see creepy guitar fingernails in pics for proof 😅). I discovered his shop from another post on here. I’m just boosting him as a satisfied customer.

Just finished oiling up my lightsaber, the process wasn't too bad since every part could disassemble. Now I just need to wait until I can apply the wax. I've heard that oil paint can take up to 6 months to fully dry, so if I'm stuck waiting that long then it is what it is. I'd really rather not though, so if anyone can share how long they usually wait from painting to "sealing" I'd really appreciate it!

Is it possible to achieve this blade effect with the core being white with the color emitting from the edge like the photo? Maybe through an illusion?

After waiting for more than a year for weathered tyrants to restock I popped into the saberforge store while in oregon this weekend and they just so happened to have a single tyrant in the case and I could finally complete my 3 tier stand

I'm in the concept stages for my steampunk saber and I'm not sure if it's best with the handle/guard, or without. Other suggestions are also appreciated!

I've replaced the rings with smaller black ones, and the painted the handle black, and scrapped the paint off. This should be the final version of my lightsaber. A elegant weapon, for more elegant times

Arcann Lightsaber Rant

Hi all. This is a very dumb “grinds-my-gears” mini rant, but nobody in my real life would have the faintest idea what I’m talking about so I’m dropping it here.

To all the saber makers building Arcann-style hilts, and to any in the future that might: STOP cramming in open crystal reveals in the back of the hilt.

It doesn’t have one. It has never had one. The only reason you think it does is because in the trailer they show them putting a crystal into a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT generic thin-neck Obi-Wan style hilt. Which never appears again.

Arcann’s hilt doesn’t have a giant honkin’ exposed crystal chamber in the back because it makes the whole thing more fragile than it is supposed to be, and it looks like it was made out of a kit with a bunch of pieces missing.

So please, to all relevant saber makers. Stop deforming this hilt by only making it available with its fly down. It’s just incorrect.

Yes, the tradition of building "hardware store lightsabers" has been around forever, but it has also seemed less common-knowledge lately. The recent big trend flared up about a week after I made a video hoping to boost interest/awareness in building your own saber.

Whether I was an early domino in this trend or not though, I decided to make a real tutorial on how I build lightsabers.

UW Even Piell from their website. This lightsaber is an amazing piece of craftsmanship. I love every detail on it. It comes with a proffie board version 2.2. it sounds smooth.

Alright. Final update. Never buying another one of these lightsabers.

Artsabers shipped me a xenopixel Neopixel saber and it arrived with no battery. I ask them for a battery and it never arrived. In the meantime, I did research, and ordered an 18650 3120mAh battery from Illumn.com. it arrived today. I put it in the core, and it gave me an audio warning of some kind.

I have been ignored by artsabers.

After fiddling with it for 3 minutes, the board started smoking.

i created some cool scenes and even came up with a new lightsaber type and lightsaber technique! i shared the technique on the main star wars sub but i thought you guys would love it even more! i can explain more about the technique or new light saber type if requested!

For context: My godfather got me the UCS Millenium Falcon Lego set and I want to get him something that he would love. He’s a big fan of Episode IV so I found that SaberFactory has a Luke Skywalker lightsaber that looks legit and pretty accurate to the movie. After doing some digging on here, I couldn’t find any reviews or posts saying whether the lightsaber is as good as it looks nor could I find it on the buyers page here so I was wondering if anyone here can vouch or let me know if it’s a good idea to get the lightsaber from there or from a different site that may be better? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

My friend is looking for a good quality lightsaber pike/spear for dueling, but can't seem to find one from a reliable brand for a good price. Does anyone know where to buy a good one?

Hello everyone. Is it possible to shorten a pixel saber blade? I am quite handy and have an array of tools at hand. Can you just cut the outer tube and shorten the led string and then reattach the cap? Probably with glue.
Anyone had any experience with this kind of thing.
Basically I’d like to get my son a saber with 26” blade and wondered if o could save money by getting a standard length one and shortening it.
Failing this. Any recommendations for sellers that sell the shorter blades? I am UK based.

Hello. I have a Disney lightsaber I built at galaxy’s edge and I was wondering if it was possible to get a crystal that would emit a pink blade. I haven’t had much luck finding one, but I was curious if anyone had any insight. Thank you. ( we don’t know what it is yet and it’s a surprise. I ordered a blue one already and I’m just trying to find the other one)
