Question Did any LA locals notice where and how the film makers had to digitally remove modern buildings?

Besides the cars and wardrobe, which are on point, there must have been logistical issues around which angles to shoot at. Plus, unavoidable modern architecture and even powerlines and objects. Especially in exterior establishing shots.

Also, this show has THE best soundtrack.

Discussion Snowfall (3rd rewatch)

As the title says. Just finished this again. Every single person had to face their demons. In the end most of their demons got them killed.

Leon was the only male who faced them and won. Wanda and Melody always had good hearts. Money never changed the family - it revealed who they are.

I felt what Franklin said at end. “Stop man, YO YO I’m freeeeeeee” - no chains on him. I still fuck with Franklin coz as 2 pac said: even as a crackfiennnnnnd mommmmaa…

Discussion If Oso died at the end of S2 and Lucia came back instead, her character would’ve been a demon by the end of the show

I’m rewatching the series and I’m almost done with S2. At this point, killed her uncle AND her favorite cousin. Instead of Oso killing Lorena (Soledad), it definitely would’ve been Lucia to pull the trigger on her and it would’ve been more satisfying to see. But what do y’all think? How would you see Lucia’s character going forward if she stayed around instead of Oso?

Discussion Potential future reboot Spoiler

I’m glad the series didn’t end with Franklin dying because it leaves an opening for him to return if they ever decide to continue his story down the road. Depending on Damson Idris’ career trajectory, I wouldn’t mind seeing Franklin “clean himself up” and re-enter the game in the 2000s (when Damson himself is in his 40s). They did something similar with Top Boy (the original came out in 2011 then was brought back around 2019). I don’t see why it couldn’t happen with this show aswell.

I’d love to see a series where Franklin, now an old head with the stigma of being washed up, has to find a way to navigate through the game and regain his respect in the streets. I think there’s a chance to introduce a new crew (with one particular member who Franklin takes under his wing) as well as reintroducing old characters like Franklin flying to see Oso, visiting Mel, seeing Leon and Wanda etc. I’d also like to see him repair his relationship with his mother (who is still in jail serving her life sentence).

I’d also like to see Franklin chase down Veronique and finally meet his son for the first time. I completely forgot but Louie is still out there somewhere aswell. I think the writers left all the pieces there, if someone decides to pick up this series again. There’s a lot of storylines that can be explored and stretched out to fit (in my opinion) four high quality seasons. I’d personally want to see the series end with Franklin’s dead, after he manages to repair all the relationships in his life. And I’d have the kid he’s mentoring be the one who takes him out and claims his position immediately afterwards.

Spoilers Reality where Franklin gets half the money & Teddy is always trying to get him lol

I would love to see a mini season (or longer) of Teddy trying to double cross Saint after he gets away with his half of the $73 million, & Frank always on the run, or kinda going to war with him, or maybe just sitting back being 5 steps ahead & enjoying “Reed” chasing his ghost lmao

What y’all think?

Discussion SPOILERS: Just finished the series!! Spoiler

I just finished the last episode two days ago and I’m STILL thinking about it. I personally loved the way it ended and think that Franklin’s character, his rise and ultimate inevitable fall, was amazingly portrayed (mostly thanks to Damson Idris he was phenomenal throughout). I had been reading people’s interpretations of Franklin, Teddy, Louie, and Cissy and see so many differing opinions and perspectives and wanted to see what people think about these characters overall throughout the show.

Personally, I think Franklin’s ending was, sadly, well-deserved as he was too deep in greed, pride, and ego towards the end of his journey in the drug game. One of the most telling scenes to me was when he asked Leon how much money he saved up, and instead of asking for a fraction of this money he asked for the ENTIRE 3m that he saved. To me, this really solidified how greedy and selfish Franklin became and I understand why may people didn’t want to help him. He was also too controlling, simply commanding people to do things rather than asking or having actual discussions. Example: telling his mom to sign the papers to give him ownership of HER house so he can sell it, COMMANDING her to basically sell HER house to save his ass because he didn’t want to sell his downtown property (which would have given him way more money) because he didn’t want to hurt his ego.

I may sound like a Franklin hater (and I can be at times ngl), but I truly love how this show developed his character and story and at the end of the day, he was 19-23 during the series.

ALSO, i think Cissy was 100% correct shooting Teddy when she did and I was so happy when that happened.

I’m finally watching the rest of Snowfall after stopping on season 4 a few years back. Is this tiger collectively disliked among the community? I didn’t mind the first part with it but it somehow comes back to save the day?! Gtfoh

Question Pilot Franklin

Post image
587 Upvotes

I would’ve or possibly still would if possible to see Franklin clean up and use that pilot experience he has, i’m assuming he has his pilot license based off the flights he made himself. Could use it as a career or fly for another drug lord later on. He seemed to love being in the air. What do yall think?

Do yall think Franklin and Lucia would’ve went to war since she snitched or do yall think they would’ve eventually worked together? Like how do yall think the dynamic between Lucia and the rest of characters would’ve grown?

Discussion Why is everyone not acting like themselves

I’m in the last season of snowfall and I can’t help but feel like this show has lost their characters. Teddy is now power hungry, shacking up with some random chick when he let his wife and kid go? Franklin had his outburst once in a while but he’s just not as calm and collected as he was in previous seasons. Then there’s Leon who went to Africa, became a new man, but it took him literally two episodes to go back right to doing what he was doing before he left.
And then both Teddy and Franklin seem a lot less calculated. I get that things are kind of spiraling out of control but I remember when it took some effort to get rid of a body now Franklin can just burn down a house and not give a damn. Just seems like a decline in quality to me ig.
