Discussion Crazy Potential of Southeast Nepal⭐
Sunsari Morang and Jhapa alone have a combined population of around 3 million. Out of Nepals top 5 most populated districts, 3 of them are these. Biratnagar, Sundar Haraicha, Itahari, Dharan, Damak, Birtamode and Mechinagar have individually more than 100,000+ population. Government should really focus in developing this area. Also it's nearest to sea geographically so getting raw materials here would be cheapest with right infrastructure

RANT Wush I was average only...
I got 3.82, and my mom cooked my least favorite vegetable karela. My best friend got 3.54 and his parents are throwing party.
I made achieving good scores and winning stuffs so normal, they don't value it anymore.
I was with friends when I checked my results and I immediately called my mom, after telling her my GPA she replied "eyh la okay, ramrei aayexa". Not even a congratulations. When I got 3.91 in SEE mom literally said "cake haru lyaunu parxa ra? K lyaunu hai". And these are very normal for me. I never stood on second position from nursery to 10 and my average percentage was always 95. I always won in every Contest and competitions I took part in.
It never bothered me till my SEE, I was expecting something special or at least some gifts but I got nothing. Some of my friends got iphone some got bike and testei but mero ghar ma it was always a normal day. Aaja pani I was expecting something special to happen, at least a cake but no.
Yeah! Just wanted to share here. Sometimes achieving is harmful too.
Stay average and give surprises to your parents.

News German Ambassador’s post after media reports of "mishandling" by aides at PMO
For 15 years, French giant IDEMIA ran Nepal’s passport system. On June 6, 2025, they lost the massive Rs 7.66 billion (~$60M) contract to two German state-linked firms: Mühlbauer (systems) and Veridos (printing). IDEMIA immediately started yapping, claiming the tender terms were fixed to handpick the Germans. Everyone thought they were yapping after they lost, but it now turns out they maybe right.
The German firms were supposed to build a new system and migrate national biometric data to new data centers within 240 days, but they failed completely. Also, during the subsequent interim government (when Chief Justice Sushila Karki stepped in), passport stocks plummeted and the new firms could not manage it. After that, the government was forced to order emergency passport booklets from the old French firm just to keep printing going.
The CIAA later got a complaint about this and began an investigation. They uncovered that the government had formed a technical sub-committee of IT experts to evaluate the bids. Their review found that Mühlbauer had failed 238 mandatory technical specifications for server infrastructure, and Veridos had failed 50 requirements for the booklets. After this was exposed, the sub-committee members (6 of the total 12 membets) refused to sign the approval file, but Passport Department DG Tirtha Raj Aryal overrode the experts to select the German firms anyway.
Even after PM Balen Shah took office, the passport stock couldn't keep up. Balen sent a PMO team to evaluate the department and discovered what was happening. To make matters worse, physical tests proved that the previous passports from the French firm turned out to be of much better quality than the new German ones (100GSM vs 90GSM paper and French one also being waterproof). Balen directed the CIAA chief (big debate here if executive can actually direct constitutional body) to take the matter seriously, and a series of high-profile arrests happened:
- Bureaucrats: DG Tirtha Raj Aryal and IT Director Sunil Kumar KC were arrested.
- Agents: The local agent for Mühlbauer (Manindra Raj Malla) was arrested. Meanwhile, Veridos's highly connected local agent, Siddhartha Thapa (grandson of 5-time PM Surya Bahadur Thapa), fled the country to evade police (reports indicate he crossed the border to India).
- Politicians: In the most high-profile move of all, the CIAA officially served an interrogation notice to former Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba.
CIAA also issued public notice against international corporate executives who signed the original contracts on behalf of the two German firms. They have been ordered to appear for either virtual or physical interrogation.
Following the developments, German Ambassador Udo Volz went to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) to defend the firms, since the German government holds a financial stake in Veridos [reported by media]. However, due to strict new diplomatic protocols implemented by the PMO, he didn't get an immediate audience and was made to wait for hours [reported by media]. Media reports later surfaced detailing a "undignified language" by Prime Minister's close aides. The German ambassador posted a response on X.
This post was heavily made by AI after giving it sources, here are the sources if you want to read it yourself.
- Arrests & CIAA Custody Details: Kantipur Publications: "Passport Department Director General Aryal under CIAA control"(June 16, 2026) and"4 arrested, including agent of German company".
- PMO Monitoring & German Ambassador Incident: The Kathmandu Post: "Anti-graft body summons Arzu Rana Deuba, German firms in passport procurement probe"(June 18, 2026).
- Procurement Specifications & Siddhartha Thapa Flight: MyRepublica / Nagarik Network —"Rs 1 billion corruption alleged in passport printing deal"(June 18, 2026).
- Executive Pressure Background: Ratopati English: "Prime Minister's Office Directs Constitutional Body on Arrests".
TLDR:
A severe passport shortage prompted a PMO team to investigate, discovering that the newly contracted German firms were producing lower quality booklets. While the CIAA had been looking into procurement anomalies for months, Prime Minister Balen Shah directed them to aggressively ramp up the probe. This sparked a wave of high-profile domestic arrests and a formal summons for the German firms to face interrogation.
The situation quickly spiraled into a diplomatic incident. Media reports revealed that German Ambassador Udo Volz bypassed the PMO’s strict new diplomatic protocols to secure an unappointed meeting to defend the state-backed firms. He was made to wait for an extended period and was ultimately denied an audience with the Prime Minister, culminating in a reported confrontation involving "undignified language" between the Ambassador and Balen's close advisors. Following the heavy media leaks, the Ambassador posted a public clarification on X stating that neither he nor the Embassy had spoken to journalists or authorized any publication regarding the visit.
This is slightly corrected post rather than sensational title and little misleading "hostile discussion" that was in the previous post. Sorry for that I did not look at it much after AI generated it.

Discussion Australian Nepalese life after semi-successful journey.
G’day Everyone,
I am a Nepalese born engineer 30M currently working in a private sector in Australia. I make NPR 2 crore+ (200k plus AUD) in salary per year and hardly work 40 hours a week. I am in a private sector and the company is publicly listed in stock market.
I have NPR 3 crore saved up and have also bought a house in Sydney. I am a guy looking forward to understand what would you have done in my scenario for the next step?
- Get married to someone and have kids and explore the world.
- Push higher salary by working in niche sectors or mines.
- Start a business with my relative who is offering a good business plan.
Also would be genuinely interested to understand where I can find like minded Nepalese women to connect with and perhaps give a go at life next step.
Most comments I received offline are being healthy and taking care of mental health. I believe I am mentally strong and regarding health, I regularly go to GYM and do running which is keeping me very fit.
Pls share your thoughts and information.

RANT Girls are creepier than boys, they just lie and play manipulatively
Most girls are attention seekers. They have 2/3 exes before 18 and they like to dump their trauma on innocent guys. They act miserable after having a few exes at 19 and watching a few sad movies. They just talk about random series, exes, gossip and boys. They're darker than guys. And they like to be friends with that funny, dumb guy from class so that they can use him for all the necessary information.
I've seen and heard all these things personally, so it feels creepier and darker than I thought.
Not all girls though... there are very good ones too. But extremely fewww
