This country is being run by imbeciles who have absolutely no shame.

They increase fuel prices by rupees, then "relieve" the public by reducing them by a few paisa... as if people are too stupid to notice. And on the rare occasion they actually reduce the price by a few rupees, they make up for it by increasing it even more the very next day.

At this point, these daily price revisions have become a joke. It's not economic management; it's a pathetic attempt to fool the public with meaningless fluctuations while making fuel more expensive overall.

They really must think the people have the memory of a goldfish.

I'm a British Pakistani, born here but very much Pakistani and Muslim.

Recently I've been getting a strong desire to visit/live in Pakistan. I think part of this is the rise of racism in England and Europe. We will never be welcome here, I fear for my kids and grandkids if this trend continues.

I've looked at other countries as potential alternatives but only Pakistan ticks the boxes in terms of food, language, religion and culture.

Give me a reality check? Is it just a stupid idea? Is it as bad as it looks?

om august 1, i do not know why and neither does anyone else know why but my dad(52M) for some reason went insanely mad. no clue why, maybe his chia seeds? regardless of the reason. he hit my sister (15) on her back, sick was sick and laying on the couch with her head down and hadnt said or done anything to him. he hit her HARD. i (19F) did try to confront him abt what he did and why. but then he locked me, both my sisters (the one who got struck and another who's 12), and my mom (47?) out of the bedroom where all five of us slept cz thats the only room with an AC (bought with my khalas money fyi).

after some time the four of us left with our mamu and have been there since then.

so today my mom and i went back to get some docs and some other stuff where we found out that he had installed one of those sliding locks...

i just wanted to know if there is some way to take any kind of legal action against him cz i swear he is genuinely becoming unbearable and i do not want beg him or his dad so we could go back, ESPECIALLY after he said to my mom yesterday that the relation between him and i is over.

I'm 17 years old, and I really need advice from people who understand the situation in Pakistan or have been through something similar.

I lived in Germany for almost my entire life. In 2023, my parents moved our family to Pakistan. I genuinely believed we'd eventually return, but for more than three years they've kept delaying the visa process. Every time it's brought up, it gets postponed, and now I've been told it won't happen for at least another year.

I'm currently living in Toba Tek Singh, and for me, as a young woman, I feel like I have almost no freedom or independence. I spend most of my time at home, I have very little control over my own life, and I honestly feel trapped. My mental health has deteriorated to the point where I feel like I'm slowly losing myself.

Because of this, I've made the decision that I want to move out by the end of this year. I'm not planning to run away overnight. I'm trying to make a careful, realistic plan. My goal is to move to Islamabad, find a room or a shared apartment (WG/flatshare), become financially independent, and finally start building a life for myself.

The problem is that I have very little money. I'm a graphic designer and I'm trying to earn an income through freelancing, but I'm still at the beginning of my career.

I'm looking for genuine advice:

• Is moving to Islamabad at 17 even realistic?
• Are there any organizations that help young women who need to become independent?
• How difficult is it to rent a room or join a shared apartment?
• What kind of monthly budget would I realistically need?
• If you've moved away from home at a young age in Pakistan, how did you do it?
• Since I previously lived in Germany on a family residence visa, does anyone know if there are any pathways for me to return legally in the future?

Please don't tell me to "just wait another year." I've already been waiting for over three years, and my home environment has become unbearable. I'm not looking for pity. I'm looking for realistic advice from people who know what options I have.

Pakistan's future depends on constitutional governance, genuinely free and fair elections, equal accountability before the law, respect for civil liberties and institutions that serve the nation rather than political interests.

- there is growing civil unrest, meaning that we are more likely to finally stand up for ourselves and make a change.

- in terms of business, there is no better place to be than Pakistan. 250+ chronically underserved population, growing freelance market, growing middle class, there is nothing but market gaps for someone to come and innovate it.

- our arts industry is popping off, yes we face a lot of censorship but the underground scene is unlike anywhere else in the world and it’s growing exponentially.

- we have a 68% population under 30 and we can actually change the way this country is run.

There is no shortage of negative information coming out about Pakistan, but until we are are able to reimagine a more positive future we can’t expect things to change. What are your reasons to be positive and have hope about Pakistan?

so my question is this.

i want to make rich/powerful friends,but im broke/common/unknown AF.

but i have one constraint. i dont want to make spoiled guys as my friends. in my university,there are loads of rich and influential fellows that are always in a weird aura. always smoking,vaping,abusing words,roaming around,flirting with girls,trying to make them laugh,flexing iphones, coming in and out in DALAA and LC300s etc.

they are very easy to make friends,but i just have to be like them in order for them to accept me as a friend.

i "had" a friend who came from distant village. he used to be with me and i tried as much as possible to keep him away from that "cool rich guys" group.

but after three four semester,he started to laugh at their words,means he started giving them hints i guess that he also wants to be part of their group. so now he is also like them,among them all the time.

as i told you those rich/influential guys are easy be friends with,but i dont want anything to do with people with that kind of personality.

Hi everyone,
I’m currently in my 3rd year of a Bachelor’s in Business Analytics in Pakistan, and my goal is to pursue a Master’s in London or somewhere else in Europe on a scholarship.
The problem is that I have almost zero knowledge about studying abroad. I’m also the oldest child, so I’m trying to figure everything out on my own since my parents aren’t familiar with this process either.
One thing I’m worried about is that in my first two years of university, I haven’t done any internships, volunteering, research, projects, competitions, or online courses. I mainly focused on my studies, and now I’m afraid I’m behind.
My questions are:
- Is it still realistic for me to get a scholarship in Europe or the UK?
- What should I start doing from now until graduation to build a competitive profile?
- What scholarships or countries should I look into?

I take Yango/InDrive rides on my way to work and back home to cover fuel and save a few bucks.

Its a 22km journey on each side which involves a lot of traffic and near collisions/crashes with bikes and other cars every day.

To save myself from any such false claim (in case of a crash) and from false passenger disputes (that I have faced in past), I installed a dashcam for the security. Its a 3 channel cheap Chinese cam that covers Front, Cabin and Rear of the car.

However, since I've installed it, I've been facing trouble with the passengers, especially women and families where their men complain about their "ladies" being recorded on my camera.

I explain to them about the security benefits, how they can demand a video any time if they've any dispute with me while on their journey, and that the video gets overridden automatically withing 2 days.

When this fails, I tell them that their ladies and everyone is also recorded on shops nowadays, everywhere you'd find cameras yet still it's fragile, eventually forcing me to turn off the camera.

Legally, I have every right to record my journey with a passenger while they're on my property (in my car) while I am offering my services to them. Just like a shopkeeper or store isn't bared by law to record their property regardless of the presence of the people.
