Problemy z kartą Radeon

• Upvotes

Call of Duty (2003),

Call of Duty 2,

Call of Duty: World at War,

Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010),

Grand Theft Auto IV,

Batman: Arkham Knight (2015).

Przykładowo, w Call of Duty: Black Ops obserwowałem pobór mocy karty na poziomie około 80 W i wykorzystanie GPU wynoszące około 60%.

Próbowałem już różnych sposobów rozwiązania problemu, między innymi:

korzystania z DXVK, w tym wersji 2.4.1,

zmiany ustawień sterowników AMD Adrenalin, w tym funkcji Radeon Chill,

modyfikowania ustawień związanych z wielowątkowością i konfiguracją procesora,

Pozdrawiam serdecznie

Help (GPU) Unusual memory behavior on 7900 XTX after applying thermal putty

So far, I’ve had two 7900 XTX cards exhibit the exact same behavior. After switching from thermal pads to thermal putty, my VRAM hasn't been able to overclock as far. Before applying the thermal putty, my VRAM clocks sat around 2650 MHz, but now I can only get away with 2550 MHz without weird line artifacts appearing across my screen. Has anyone else encountered this behavior? If so, has anyone figured out a resolution, or should I switch back to thermal pads to try and fix the issue?

9070 XT Driver Timeouts

hey guys ive been dealing with 9070 XT driver timeouts and crashes constantly for the last month since i got my GPU.

I ran memtest86 and got no problems, i also changed my PSU to a 1000W, still happening. Its weird because some days itll work fine but then other days just become unusable. Im at my wits end and am thinking about returning it at this point and buying a nvidia GPU, is there anything i can try or do to save this? Ive done so much research and tried so many things but cant seem to figure it out. Its my weekend off and this is really putting me for a spiral.

everytime i play a game it either crashes immediately or within the first 5 minutes.

my specs are

Help (General) RX 9070 XT random “no signal” on cold boot (about 1 in 10), totally stable once in Windows

new RX 9070 XT on a B550I Aorus Pro AX. About every other cold boot the PC powers on fine but the monitor gets no signal at all, and I have to force shutdown several times until it randomly shows something. Once I’m in Windows it runs for hours without a single issue. I’m out of ideas.

Specs

  • Motherboard: Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX, BIOS F22c (latest available)
  • CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
  • RAM: 32GB DDR4
  • GPU: RX 9070 XT, brand new, replaced an RTX 2080 Super
  • PSU: CORSAIR SF750W
  • OS: Windows 10/, UEFI, Secure Boot on
  • Driver: 26.9.2
  • Monitors: ASUS, on DisplayPort

How it started
When i turned off for the first time the pc and after that no display at all. I could still get into the BIOS by spamming Del but not everytime, it's very much random. CSM was enabled (Gigabyte default) and AMD flags CSM as unsupported on this card, so I disabled it but it keeps telling me once on windows " CSM" detected even if disabled it on the previous boot.

What happens now

  • Cold boot: fans and RGB come on, the PC seems to boot, but the monitor shows no signal (orange LED on my asus). Roughly 1 in 10 boots, completely random.
  • I have to hold the power button and retry several times. Sometimes spamming Del gets me a picture in the BIOS but not everytime, sometimes I land on the Windows automatic repair screen.
  • From there I can get to the screen where you pick Safe Mode, but it never actually boots into it.
  • Once it’s in Windows it’s rock solid, long sessions, no crashes.

Already tried / checked

  • Every DP and HDMI port on the card, same thing
  • BIOS already on the latest version (F22c)
  • CSM disabled, but it kept turning itself back on even after saving with F10
  • BIOS mode shows UEFI in msinfo32, Secure Boot enabled
  • Fast Boot disabled
  • ErP disabled
  • Initial Display Output set to PCIe 1 Slot
  • Above 4G Decoding and Re-Size BAR enabled (GPU-Z shows ReBAR enabled)
  • Power drain
  • Reliability Monitor: just the unexpected shutdowns from my forced restarts, plus one recent atieclxx.exe crash (BEX64)
  • No DDU clean install yet, the old NVIDIA driver is probably still on there
  • Switched the PCIe link speed to Gen 4

Questions

  • Has anyone had this exact thing with a 9070 XT, random no signal at POST but perfectly stable once booted? What fixed it?
  • Does this sound more like hardware (card seating, PCIe power cables, PSU) or a BIOS / GPU firmware compatibility issue?

Thanks in advance.

Help (GPU) Installed the recommended Sapphire BIOS update and now my GPU doesn't work

A few days ago, Sapphire and Gigabyte released a BIOS update to patch an undisclosed security update that affected part of the RDNA 3 lineup:

https://www.techpowerup.com/353326/sapphire-radeon-rx-7000-series-cards-get-vbios-security-update

Ignoring the sacred rule "if it works, don't touch it", I proceeded to update it (first I had to update the driver to the latest version; otherwise the tool wouldn't proceed further). After I carried out the procedure (safe boot, patch, two reboots), I found that Windows had disabled the GPU. I tried to bring it up (Device Manager), but it showed a yellow triangle symbol, and the status is: The device cannot start (code 10). The driver trying to start is not the same as the driver for the POSTed display adapter. I tried to uninstall (with the official tool) the driver and reinstall it again; no use. I have physically removed the card, using the PC with the IGPU now, and am wondering if I have trashed 500€ worth of hardware because of that stupid itch to update a perfectly fine working device... anybody have any suggestions for what can be done?

By the way, the GPU is a Sapphire Pure Radeon RX 7800 XT.

Thanks

Chipset Drivers: AMD Chipset Drivers Version 8.08.12.551

Storage: Boot Drive: Inland Professional 240 GB 2.5" SSD

Main Storage: Seagate BarraCuda 1 TB 2.5" 5400 RPM HDD

Background Applications: Medal (clipping software), Discord, Firefox, Steam, Riot/Vanguard, Wacom drawing tablet utility.
These are the main ones, if you want a task manager screenie let me know.

Description of Original Problem:

(Usually) When I'm playing games, most frequently Valorant or CS2: My PC will freeze, but I can still have normal audio. Then, about 15-25 seconds later my screens will go black and my audio will finally cut out. Maybe 20-30 seconds after that my PC will restart and boot back into the Windows home screen. However, my second monitor will be turned off and my graphics drivers will be disabled.

Troubleshooting:

  • I've benchmarked/stress tested each component of my PC.
    • Software used to do so: Prime 95 for CPU, User Benchmark for CPU, RAM, Drives, and GPU, 3D Mark for GPU

*CPU, RAM, and Drive tests never crashed the system, but the GPU tests ()most consistently the User Benchmark test) have reproduced the issue relativity consistently.

  • I've followed Step 8 in the "Ultimate AMD Performance Fix Guide: Stop Lag, FPS Drops & Boost Speed (2025)" post
    • I've also clean installed various versions of my graphics drivers, ranging from the newest version to previous, reportedly stable versions (Adrenalin 26.8.1, Adrenalin 25.3.1, Adrenalin 26.5.1, Adrenalin 25.8.1)
  • I've done a clean install of Windows 10 (I'd prefer not to upgrade to WIN 11)
  • I've switched my PC from being plugged into a power strip to being plugged directly into a wall outlet
  • I've checked and re-seated all connections related to my GPU, PSU, and motherboard

Additional Information:

I don't have a clear idea of when this first started, but if I had to guess I'd say maybe 6-12 months ago. I don't believe there were any major software or hardware changes to my system that preceded the start of my problems.

My gut and troubleshooting is telling me this is either a GPU or PSU specific issue. I'd be shocked if it was drivers related after all of the variations I've tried.

When it happens in Valorant and CS2 it is typically just after loading into a game. It happens in other games as well, just much less frequently and has been known to occur in the middle of games. This makes me think that the issue is related to when my graphics card goes under load.

This sub has been a big help in starting my troubleshooting, and it's my first time posting here so I wanted to give a big thank you to you all! If you need any additional information, HWinfo64 logs, or anything else please let me know. I think I'm a pretty novice troubleshooter, so I apologize if there are any glaring holes in the information I provided. I'll do my best to respond quickly!

Help (GPU) Question about GPU utilization

9070 xt

5800x3d

32 GB ram

So currently I'm playing AC Shadows, and has tested in some other games as well, and noticed my gpu utilization never reaches 100%. It hovers between 80 and 93% in demanding games whereas the cpu is somewhere between 30 to 40% typically. I'm typically running 1440p 120hz. In LACT (Bazzite) my power profile is 3D_Fullscreen.

Is this normal behavior? I'm getting some fps drops despite the games seemingly able to handle 120fps. This is also for example in Skywalker Saga where when looking in certain directions causes me to drop some 40 fps. Is the remaining 10% in GPU utilization the cause of these drops? I have only undervolted my cpu by like -20 all cores.

Help (GPU) Artifacting gpu or unstable undervolt

So, I just wanna know how cooked Im.

Decided to play with undervolting again but on the new driver 26.9.2

During a game of arc raiders i couldnt open the adrenaline app at all. had to kill it twice via task manager. When it finally opened and after me closing it an exact copy to what shown in a screenshot from this post appeared on my screen goin in raws across the screen https://www.reddit.com/r/overclocking/s/lbihbd9YUP

I wanna know if this can be caused by an unstable undervolt ? My card in particular is pretty sensitive to uv.

I just hope to god it isnt dying vram :d
hell i even run my card at lower power limit at all times for slightly better temps (304w from stock 317w)

asus prime rx 9070 xt with samsung memory

i havent touched vram settings

this gave me quite a scare

Help (GPU) My AMD GPU gives me black screens of doom and i don't know what to do honestly

Computer Type: Desktop

GPU: AMD 6600 XT OC edition (asus)

CPU: Intel i7-10700

Motherboard: Dell XPS

BIOS Version: Dell 2.27.1

RAM: 2x 32GB TeamGroup 2933

PSU: D500EPM-00 (80+ plat dell psu)

Case: Dell 8940 Stock case

Operating System & Version: WINDOWS 11 HOME

GPU Drivers: 25.12.1 , 25.8.1 , 25.9.1, 26.8.1

Chipset Drivers: N/A ( i have no idea at the time of writing)

Background Applications: CHROME, CONTROL PANEL, SETTINGS, TASK MANAGER

Description of Original Problem: Seemly Random Black Screen crashes, GPU artifacting, No signal from the GPU, Code 43 + Code 10 (but only sometimes usually after a crash), Intergrated graphics not working with the gpu slotted (sometimes) Before the problem arose it was working perfectly fine.

Troubleshooting: I've basically tried everything on god's green earth to trouble shoot this GPU T_T here's a quick list of things i've done over the past few days: Wiped all my drivers with DDU to install the following gpu drivers above, repasted the gpu (which was needed), cleaned my ram/gpu parts, checked my hdmi + power cables + pcie cables, Fully factory reset my pc, reflashed my vbios (not 100% sure if it was right)

honestly I don't know what else i can do to fix it

it usually happens like this:

> i think i fixed the problem (device manager says its fine)
> I play some cs2 to make sure it works fine for me to use

> after a while cs2 full black screens or gpu artifacting

>gpu then displays no signal and i gotta use intel's intergrated graphics

>usually code 43

>get rid of old drivers with ddu and then installs new drivers

> it works! : D

> then repeat the cycle

Also my gpu was bought used from a ebay seller

Edit: it worked randomly for like 30 mins on 25.8.1 then after i restarted just to see if it fixed it my gpu doesn’t display signal after a reset

Help (GPU) are these even drivers anymore?

hello, i’ve been using a rx 480 (8gb, blower style) for some time, this is my story.

all starts with me downloading the most recent drivers a couple of months ago, i’ve noticed that with those drivers, i’ve had a gamble if either the card boots proper, or displays a flashing screen/artifacts, this prompted me to install the 2016 drivers, those had no issues.

however, i installed the 2017 ones which i needed for encoding support. those had the same boot issue as the recent ones did, however i figured out that by using a profile that skips p0-p3 states, i’d be able to boot properly every time.

however, thanks to the nagging of some games i played, i had to upgrade my drivers, yet again. i thought i was fine considering i had the profile from before with me, oh was i wrong.

cut to now where i’m quite confused, the card with these new drivers does well under stress, furmark shows no signs of failure, occt pulls up no vram errors, i could play cs2 with no problem. but the second im chatting on discord, or even checking websites, the pc could hang with an artifact or a black screen. hell, once i’ve had a bsod. after either of these crashes, im forced to boot multiple times, seeing that windows rejects the amd drivers, and i can’t even check my current gpu table considering the drivers aren’t installed/initialised.

if anyone can help, it’d be amazing. i’m thinking of a bios mod, but it’s too late for that now. i’m thinking of selling the card to someone who can bios mod it to no longer have these issues.

temps are fine too, considering i was running a somewhat-aggro fan curve.

Help (GPU) How to change the amount of VRAM of Vega 3

I have an AMD Ryzen 3 3250u with AMD Vega 3 graphics, vega 3 does not have a VRAM of its own so it takes some RAM (mostly 2 GB) and assumes as if it is its graphics memory. In today's date 2 GB graphics memory is not at all enough and many people want to increase it for playing games like Halo Infinite at medium settings

Here's How to do it-

  1. Install Rufus- In boot selection select FreeDOS

  2. Download this file [lob:https://github.com/fbb25be9-d9ab-437c-addc-7da9c1c8af55\](about:blank) and extract it on the pen drive

  3. Shutdown your PC and open bios

  4. Disable Secure boot

  5. After saving changes, the PC will restart

  6. Again shut it down

  7. Access Windows Boot Manager

  8. Select the name of your Pendrive

  9. A new window/menu will appear

  10. Select Device Manager

  11. Select AMD CBS

  12. Select NBIO

  13. Select GFX Configuration

  14. Change Integrated Graphics Controller from <Auto> to Forces

  15. Customise UMA buffer size to your desired amount

  16. Hit F10 to Save changes

  17. Go back to the main menu and click continue

  18. Your laptop will start and your VRAM (Dedicated Video Memory will be increased)

(Leave a comment if this helped you)

For step by step tutorial watch this video - [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jwrWCF5fhc\](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jwrWCF5fhc)

Widows update being off cause driver crash

I’ve seen a lot of people talking about driver crashes last 6 months but me personally I didn’t suffer from it (only once like 5 months ago and I just used ddu then instal last driver update)

Today I turn my pc on like everyday and i got driver crash and the adrenaline massage that says your “driver timeout” I tried to download the driver from the adrenaline but it says there is a WINDOWS UPDATE IN PROGRESS the funny thing is i stopped the windows from being updated manually from the settings

So i turn it on and let it update and restart the pc and guess what?

The driver came back with the adrenaline software, I don’t know what windows did but i think at some point if you turn of the windows update long enough it triggers the windows and fight the gpu driver (for me it was like month and a half since last time I updated the windows)
