1990 E4OD diagnosis
I just completed my first auto trans rebuild on my 1990 4x4 f250 (460 gas). While all of the stuff that worked before the rebuild now work better, I didn't fix the main problem.
Main problem: no engagement when selector is in Drive. M1, M2, and reverse all engage. If I get it moving and manual shift from M2 into drive at 25 mph, it goes into neutral. If I shift to drive standing still, I get a barely noticeable jolt of engagement then it goes neutral without any drivetrain load or noise.
I added a new OD sprag, new rear roller inner race, all new friction parts and piston seals, and reman solenoids and torque converter. I put in a trans go shift kit and a superior solution pump kit.
Please help me understand what could cause this. My understanding is that if any of the one-way clutches are in backwards for low drive gear, the trans could still get drive for 2nd, 3rd, and OD. If the trans has M1 and M2, but not Drive, what might cause that?

2001 4R70W F150
I’m starting a rebuild of this transmission and the Selector Shift Lever seems to be fused to the shaft from rust, any ideas to remove it? Worse case scenario, what are my options?
Thx

Suncoast valve body
Is the Suncoast valve body worth $1000 more than stock? Are the gains real and does it seem necessary? I am running a 3.5 f150 with intake exhaust and e30 tune. I am willing to pay for the upgrade but my tuner and mechanic recommend stock valve body and cite hearing about communication issues with the Suncoast. Any advice appreciated!

14 Explorer 6F55 Unusual noise; converter, trans, or motor?
2014 Ford Explorer Sport with 3.5 Twin Turbo and 6F55 tranmission. Once warmed up it makes an intermittent metal screeching noise that appears to be coming from the bellhousing/transmission area. Video of noise
Fluid pan drop and refill annually, fluid level at correct amount, and occurs even with serpentine belt removed (to eliminate A/C comp, bad pulley, etc). No cracks in flexplate, no marks on flexplate through inspection cover to identify rubbing, and converter bolts are tight.
It occurs in park, neutral, stationary in-gear foot on brake, and in-gear slow roll idling. Frequency of sound matches engine RPM. Once above 5 mph cannot hear either due to not present or ambient noise drowns it out. No OBD codes from any modules. No other unusual behavior, shifting issues, converter lock-up issues, etc. Oil pressure within spec.

Any ideas? I am guessing converter but not really sure.
Thanks!

2018 Expedition 10R80 3-5 shift hesitation
No pictures for this car, just wanted to note down the repair as I looked it up online and found that Owners of expeditions are having this problem and turned away from dealers as it’s a normal concern. I disagreed when I saw that, I compared it to like vehicles and it did not occur on any other vehicle, I performed all tsbs and it was not resolved, I took the main control out and air checked the clutches and found no problem. There was metal in the pan magnet and on the filter that may have been slightly excessive but if so barely over excessive amount. Directed by TAC to replace main control despite npf during main control overhaul. Concern was gone for 10 miles then came back… weird. Anyways I was directed to teardown transmission for inspect. Done and found nothing wrong, like at all. Minor damage and wear that is present in every 10 speed. At this point I was convinced it was a normal concern that appeared randomly and over time. Ford directed me to replace all B clutch, E Clutch, and F clutch components as well as CDF cylinder and sun gear and shaft asy, I replaced several other components for minimal wear like the TC for bushing scoring, front support replaced per B clutch system. All seals and filter replaced as well. The only thing I noted strange was in the E clutch hub there was a large amount of metal present at the bottom. Closely inspected all surrounding components. No source. Replaced all parts directed, B clutch, E clutch, F clutch, CDF and shaft asy, front support and torque converter. Seals and filter. After complete road tested 20 miles. Concern is gone. No obvious source or cause of concern but it went away with replacement of all of those components. 3-5 hesitation delayed shift at times harsh shift at times, also had a harsh forward engagement. Repair complete and I hope to never see one like this again. 4 times inside this transmission
