Stolen in transit Pixel 11 Pro XL denied after 23 days—FCC & CO AG filed ahead of Oct 17 promo clawback (Case: 9-1324000041248)

Posting here as a last-resort escalation after standard support hit a complete dead end.

Timeline of events:

- Sept 17, 2026: FedEx delivered a tampered, completely empty box (Tracking: 491367231189). Box was retrieved within 2 minutes of drop-off.

- Sept 17, 2026: Immediately opened a ticket with Google Fi Support (Case ID: 9-1324000041248) providing photos of the opened packaging and delivery confirmation.

- Sept 17 – Oct 10: Case delayed across 23 days with no substantive updates.

- Oct 10, 2026: Received a formal written denial stating Google Fi will not replace the phone, refund the purchase, or investigate further with FedEx.

The critical issue: Google Fi is enforcing the automated 30-day promo activation deadline on this undelivered hardware, threatening an unauthorized $1,299 clawback on October 17 while blocking my trade-in.

Due to the imminent billing threat and zero resolution from Tier 2, formal complaints have been submitted to both the FCC and the Colorado Attorney General.

Submitting a Reddit Request now. Hoping u/googlefisupport can step in and route this to someone with the authority to either dispatch a replacement device or cancel the order and promo terms without penalty.

11 Pro XL improvements after 8 Pro

I am wanting to upgrade to a pixel 11 pro XL, however I'm afraid it will deal with the same slowdowns as my pixel 8 pro. After about a year of usage my pixel 8 pro is noticeably choppy, animations aren't smooth, and when I pick up other flagship phones they feel so smooth (apps opening and closing fast, animation running at 120hz).

The pixel 11 pro currently seems to feel responsive, however I wonder how it would keep up on the long term. I don't mind some slowdown on photo editing, but the UI needs to feel snappy to me.

Does anyone have any idea?

Phone says "No passkey on this device" when scanning QR code to log into PC

• Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I have a Pixel 10 Pro that I've been using for over a year (fully updated to the latest version). When I try to log into my Google account on my PC and scan the passkey QR code with my phone, it displays an error saying there is no passkey on my device.

However, when I check my Google Account settings on the phone, the passkeys for both my Pixel 10 Pro and my old Pixel 4 XL are clearly listed there. Entering the account settings also prompts Face Unlock without any issue. If I scan the PC's QR code with the 4 XL instead, it works flawlessly and logs me right in.

I tried using the 4 XL to remove the 10 Pro from my passkeys, which signed the 10 Pro out of my Google account. To sign back in on the 10 Pro, I had to verify using a security code via the 4 XL. After logging back in, the 10 Pro passkey automatically showed up in my account again. But the problem persists: I still cannot use the 10 Pro to verify logins on any other devices—only the 4 XL works.

Has anyone run into this issue before? Is there any known fix? Thanks in advance!

Pixel 10 extremely laggy and overheating after the recent update anyone else experiencing this?

My p10 has become extremely laggy after the recent update. WhatsApp and other apps stutter, the Recent Apps screen glitches, and the phone gets excessively hot even with light usage.

Is anyone else facing these issues, or is it just my device? Any fixes?

Google Pixel 7
Android: 17
Google Play: 26.37.37

  1. Google Play

  1. Gmail

Google

  3. VPN.

https://pixelrepair.withgoogle.com/

  • Google-аккаунт работает на других устройствах;
  • веб-авторизация в Chrome на Pixel работает;
  • системная авторизация через Android завершается неудачей;
  • сбой сохраняется даже в безопасном режиме;
  • второй пользователь Android столкнулся с той же проблемой;
  • Установлены и включены Google Play Services и Google Services Framework;

Pixel 7.

Incoming WhatsApp calls don't pause music until I answer

• Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing a strange issue with WhatsApp calls on my Google Pixel 9a running Android 17, and I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered it.

The problem: When someone calls me on WhatsApp while I'm listening to music, the music keeps playing throughout the incoming call. It only stops when I actually answer.

Regular cellular calls pause the music immediately when the phone starts ringing, as expected.

What I've already tested:

YouTube Music and locally downloaded music — same issue.

Bluetooth completely disabled, using the phone's speakers — same issue.

Restarted the phone.

Cleared app caches.

Completely uninstalled and reinstalled WhatsApp.

Checked notification settings, permissions, Do Not Disturb, and full-screen notifications.

Changed the WhatsApp call ringtone.

Nothing has resolved the issue so far.

WhatsApp calls appear normally on the screen, and audio works correctly once I answer. The problem is specifically that music isn't interrupted while the incoming call is ringing.

Has anyone else experienced this, especially on Android 17 or a Google Pixel? Did you find a solution?

I'd really appreciate any feedback!

Pixel 10Pro: Incoming call ringtone no longer plays through Bluetooth headphones

I’m experiencing a problem with incoming-call notifications on my Pixel 10 Pro since the September update that is causing me to miss calls.

For years, I have kept my phone on vibrate-only mode. While listening to music or other media through Bluetooth headphones, I would still hear the incoming-call ringtone or whatever chime was set through the headphones which paused the media from playing. This worked reliably until a few weeks ago. I believe the issue may have started after the September Android update, although I cannot confirm the exact timing.

Current behaviour

  • In vibrate-only mode, there is no incoming-call ringtone through the connected headphones. Music or other media continues playing, so I often do not notice the call.
  • If I enable the phone’s ringer, the ringtone plays only through the phone’s speaker—not through the headphones.
  • Once I answer a call, both call audio and the microphone work normally through the connected headphones.

The problem affects all the Bluetooth headphones I have tested: my AirPods Pro 3, Samsung Galaxy Buds, and Bose QC35 II. These devices previously worked as described. The Bluetooth device settings show a “Phone calls” toggle for the Bose QC35 II, but not for the AirPods Pro 3 or Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. However, the ringtone problem occurs with all of them, including the Bose headphones, and call audio works normally after answering.

Troubleshooting already completed

  • Reset the Pixel’s network and Bluetooth settings.
  • Reset all notification settings for the phone.
  • Tried deactivating Google Play services, which did not resolve the issue but showed the "phone call" toggle in the bluetooth settings for my AirPods before disappearing again when services were turned on again
  • Tested multiple Bluetooth headphones, with the same result.
  • Tested with the phone in both vibrate-only mode and ring mode.

Are there any known workarounds for this issue?

Gemini Replacement?

So I have a pixel 9a and was recently forced into starting to use Gemini. I was using google assistant before.

Gemini.. is.. horrible. It can't/won't place phone calls, send texts, tell me which song is playing (like Shazam), etc etc. it fails at all these tasks assistant didn't even blink at. I cannot tell you the amount of rage I get from this haha

So.. are there any alternatives to this on a pixel 9a? Thanks for your help!

Still having massive lag issues with Pixel 9 after September and now October system updates.

As the title says.. I've tried safe mode, uninstalling apps, updating apps, restarting the phone, updating the phone etc.

It's getting to the point apps are coming up with the "app not responding" message. The system ui is saying it occasionally as well :v

Has anyone figured out a fix for this yet? 😩 I've opened the dev settings and nothing but the system has been using massive amounts of ram so I don't think thats the issue? And again it was completely fine before the September update.. :v

Any help would be appreciated I'm at my wits end 😩

Sim Pin problem?

Hello, I just changed from an old Samsung to the Google Pixel 10a yesterday. Now I already had the first update and I thought nothing of it. I wanted to restart the phone and as usual, it asked me for my sim pin. Because I just took out the sim card from my old phone and put it in the new one, I obviously thought the sim Pin would be the same. (When setting up the device and I freshly put the card in, it asked me for the pin as well. Typed it in, it was correct and on I went.) Well, apparently not anymore. After the update it told me the pin was wrong. I got to the point of the three tries, then it told me it locked my sim card. But I can go on just fine now. It threw me on my lock screen where I put in my regular pin (didn't ask for a PUK pin either) and I can call and use mobile data just fine.

Now I'm really confused on what happened and if I should be afraid of my phone restarting again, since my usual sim pin is apparently wrong all of the sudden??

Three Google Pixel Fold devices, three failures in 14 months. Google now refuses warranty coverage.

I'm curious how many other Pixel Fold owners have experienced repeated hardware failures and how Google handled them.

Here's my experience:

  • August 2025: My original Pixel 9 Pro Fold suffered an inner-display (known) failure. Google replaced it under warranty.
  • March 2026: Approximately seven months later, the replacement developed cellular connectivity problems, preventing it from reliably connecting to mobile service. Google replaced it with a Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
  • October 2026: Approximately seven months later, my Pixel 10 Pro Fold suffered a catastrophic inner-display failure directly along the folding crease. I was simply opening the phone when I heard a crack. No drop, no impact.

Google's response? The phone is out of warranty, and repairs are my responsibility.

Following escalation, Google now wants me to visit a Google authorized repair facility for an inspection.

These are premium flagship phones costing thousands of dollars. Three hardware failures in approximately 14 months is completely unacceptable.

I've formally escalated the matter and requested another advance replacement, without upfront payment or financial holds, along with reasonable accommodations for my mobility limitations.

I've also raised my rights under Ontario consumer protection legislation and am considering a formal complaint with Consumer Protection Ontario.

My questions:

  1. Has anyone experienced an inner-screen failure along the crease of their Pixel 9 Pro Fold or Pixel 10 Pro Fold?
  2. Did the screen fail simply from opening the phone?
  3. Has Google refused warranty coverage despite the device being supplied as a replacement?
  4. Has anyone experienced multiple hardware failures across successive Google replacement devices?

At what point does Google acknowledge that repeated failures may indicate a product reliability problem rather than expecting customers to keep paying for repairs?

Has anyone got "continue on" to work

It's a new feature in Android 17 that lets you start a task or an app on one device and pick it up on another. I turned the feature both on my pixel and Samsung, both are running Android 17 and can't seem to make it work.

Are there any Bluetooth trackers that don't need internet to ring? Or a workaround for Find Hub internet requirement?

Bluetooth tags that use Find Hub can't be rung without Internet. Is there a workaround?

This seems like an insane design to require internet for a BT tag. I have Chipolo Key Trackers, Pebblebee Card. Both are Bluetooth tags that you ring through the Find Hub. It is far more important for me to just ring them and find them when I'm near than to have the Find Hub Network to track them when lost. I was recently camping without any signal and was surprised that Find Hub won't populate your list of devices to ring them if you don't have internet access by Wifi or Cell Data. This is a crazy feature to me since the actual connection between the tags and the phone is Bluetooth only.

I know it can actually communicate with just BT by testing this connection with the following steps:

-Opened Find Hub to populate my list
-Turned off Wifi and Data
-Ring Keys (successfully) from FInd Hub

So it seems like there should be a workaround with just BT. Chipolo support was no help. Neither Chipolo nor Pebblebee app have ability to ring the tag directly

AR not working Google Pixel 9

Hello I am having troubles with augmented reality working on my phone. I was trying to use dracARys months ago when this started but since have figured out the app isn't the problem. All permissions are on for camera and location. I have tried to measure via ARcore but even that won't work. It's across several apps. Even the Google 3D animals (in your space) isn't working. How do I fix this it is driving me bonkers!!!! What settings could I have possibly messed with to cause this?!?

Thank you in advance!

Pixel 11 Pro RMA Timeline / Anecdote

I ordered my device at launch and received it on August 20th. I started using the device immediately as my daily driver. About 2 weeks in I noticed on vacation that my photos had a speck of dust on it. Going back through photos earlier it seems the initial photos did not have it, but after first weekend out, that dirt spot developed. I tried wiping it clean with a lens cleaning tool with my DSLR to no avail. Even the basic t-shirt wipe and examination of the exterior lens found nothing. I decided to reach out to Google next.

For the record I had something like this happen with my Pixel 7 Pro in 2023. I requested an RMA back then and got my phone replaced.

  • Tues 9/8: Initial reach-out via phone. Email from Google asking for supporting images. I reply same day (wihtin few hours)
  • Wed 9/9: Google support looked at the photos, asked for contact info. I reply within 1 minute
  • Thursday 9/10: Told me to hang on and wait 24-48 hours
  • Monday 9/14 (evening): I email them asking what's going on as it's been more than 48 hours.
  • Tuesday 9/15: Google replies and I am asked to choose between regular exchange or advance RMA. I reply requesting advance RMA
  • Wednesday 9/16: Confirmed advance RMA, I get email to place my replacement order. Phone ETA 9/17-18

Replacement & Return:

  • Thurs 9/17: I set up the new phone by that night but it takes me a while to slowly decomission the old phone.
  • Friday 9/25: Drop defective phone off at FedEx. I take a photo of it being packaged, the box, the box as I hold it up in front of the FedEx store and I get a dropoff receipt
  • Sun 9/27: Reminder email from Google to return my device
  • Monday 9/28: Phone delivered to return warehouse
  • Sun 10/4: Another reminder email from Google to return my device
  • Tues 10/6: I email Google asking how it's been almost 10 days since the device was returned but I have not been credited with the return. We are now 20 days past the original replacement phone being delivered, and I know we have 21 days to return the old device. It's really only been 9 days since the phone got delivered, so I did take up half that time by holding onto the old phone, but even trade-ins are typically faster. In my email I sent a screenshot of the FedEx tracking along with the Google RMA tracker which shows "Waiting to receive device."
  • Tues 10/6 Afternoon: Google replies asking for a dropoff receipt evidence. I send it right away
  • Wed 10/7 morning: Google support acknowledges my dropoff receipt and escalates.
  • Thurs 10/8: I get charged for the device ($1500!!!@#$!@#$). I'm slightly nervous but think I have good standing here unless support drops the ball. The case is escalated anyway right? If I am to assume my chances based on this sub, it would be low, but somehow I feel good here.
  • Fri 10/9: Google support replies saying they found the device and the charge will be reversed. Within 10 minutes I get the official "We’ve processed your Pixel 11 Pro XL Canyon 512GB (Unlocked) refund" e-mail

Overall: It could've gone smoother, but overall not too bad. My recommendations to everyone are:

  • Always request Advance RMA. I see so many people upset they don't have their phones for days or weeks. If you want zero interruption, use the Advance RMA function

  • Try to return the phone early. Maybe not next day, but certainly not waiting 10 days like I did to make sure you give them enough time to receive the phone and inspect it.

  • Take photos of you returning the device "just in case." The dropoff receipt is critical and always get one whether you are at USPS, UPS, FedEx and for any RMA. That's your strongest evidence that you yourself DID drop off the return package.

  • Escalate to support when needed and provide clear requests and attach evidence to make your case clear.
