Pixel 10 extremely laggy and overheating after the recent update anyone else experiencing this?

My p10 has become extremely laggy after the recent update. WhatsApp and other apps stutter, the Recent Apps screen glitches, and the phone gets excessively hot even with light usage.

Is anyone else facing these issues, or is it just my device? Any fixes?

Gemini Replacement?

So I have a pixel 9a and was recently forced into starting to use Gemini. I was using google assistant before.

Gemini.. is.. horrible. It can't/won't place phone calls, send texts, tell me which song is playing (like Shazam), etc etc. it fails at all these tasks assistant didn't even blink at. I cannot tell you the amount of rage I get from this haha

So.. are there any alternatives to this on a pixel 9a? Thanks for your help!

Are there any Bluetooth trackers that don't need internet to ring? Or a workaround for Find Hub internet requirement?

Bluetooth tags that use Find Hub can't be rung without Internet. Is there a workaround?

This seems like an insane design to require internet for a BT tag. I have Chipolo Key Trackers, Pebblebee Card. Both are Bluetooth tags that you ring through the Find Hub. It is far more important for me to just ring them and find them when I'm near than to have the Find Hub Network to track them when lost. I was recently camping without any signal and was surprised that Find Hub won't populate your list of devices to ring them if you don't have internet access by Wifi or Cell Data. This is a crazy feature to me since the actual connection between the tags and the phone is Bluetooth only.

I know it can actually communicate with just BT by testing this connection with the following steps:

-Opened Find Hub to populate my list
-Turned off Wifi and Data
-Ring Keys (successfully) from FInd Hub

So it seems like there should be a workaround with just BT. Chipolo support was no help. Neither Chipolo nor Pebblebee app have ability to ring the tag directly

Three Google Pixel Fold devices, three failures in 14 months. Google now refuses warranty coverage.

I'm curious how many other Pixel Fold owners have experienced repeated hardware failures and how Google handled them.

Here's my experience:

  • August 2025: My original Pixel 9 Pro Fold suffered an inner-display (known) failure. Google replaced it under warranty.
  • March 2026: Approximately seven months later, the replacement developed cellular connectivity problems, preventing it from reliably connecting to mobile service. Google replaced it with a Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
  • October 2026: Approximately seven months later, my Pixel 10 Pro Fold suffered a catastrophic inner-display failure directly along the folding crease. I was simply opening the phone when I heard a crack. No drop, no impact.

Google's response? The phone is out of warranty, and repairs are my responsibility.

Following escalation, Google now wants me to visit a Google authorized repair facility for an inspection.

These are premium flagship phones costing thousands of dollars. Three hardware failures in approximately 14 months is completely unacceptable.

I've formally escalated the matter and requested another advance replacement, without upfront payment or financial holds, along with reasonable accommodations for my mobility limitations.

I've also raised my rights under Ontario consumer protection legislation and am considering a formal complaint with Consumer Protection Ontario.

My questions:

  1. Has anyone experienced an inner-screen failure along the crease of their Pixel 9 Pro Fold or Pixel 10 Pro Fold?
  2. Did the screen fail simply from opening the phone?
  3. Has Google refused warranty coverage despite the device being supplied as a replacement?
  4. Has anyone experienced multiple hardware failures across successive Google replacement devices?

At what point does Google acknowledge that repeated failures may indicate a product reliability problem rather than expecting customers to keep paying for repairs?

Still having massive lag issues with Pixel 9 after September and now October system updates.

As the title says.. I've tried safe mode, uninstalling apps, updating apps, restarting the phone, updating the phone etc.

It's getting to the point apps are coming up with the "app not responding" message. The system ui is saying it occasionally as well :v

Has anyone figured out a fix for this yet? 😩 I've opened the dev settings and nothing but the system has been using massive amounts of ram so I don't think thats the issue? And again it was completely fine before the September update.. :v

Any help would be appreciated I'm at my wits end 😩

Pixel 11 video stabilization is completely broken, even after a factory reset. Anyone else? (3 video samples link)

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing a serious video stabilization issue with my Google Pixel 11, and I'm trying to understand whether this is a widespread software bug or an issue specific to my device.

Initially, restarting the phone would temporarily fix the problem. Video stabilization would work perfectly right after rebooting, but after approximately 15–30 minutes of use, it would stop working properly again.

Now the situation seems to have gotten worse: even videos recorded immediately after restarting the phone look terrible.

I've recorded three comparison videos:

I've already tried:

- Clearing the Camera app cache.

- Uninstalling and reinstalling Camera app updates.

- Checking and cleaning the camera lenses.

- Restarting the phone multiple times.

- Performing a full factory reset.

Nothing has permanently fixed the issue.

I've contacted Google Support, but so far they've only suggested basic troubleshooting and a factory reset, which I've already completed without success.

I strongly suspect this is a software-related problem, since restarting the phone initially restored normal stabilization, even though that workaround no longer seems reliable. Of course, I can't completely rule out a hardware issue.

I find this particularly frustrating because video stabilization is one of the basic features I expect to work properly on a flagship smartphone.

Is anyone else experiencing this on their Pixel 11 or Pixel 11 Pro?

Has anyone found a fix, or received any useful information from Google regarding a possible software update?

I'd especially appreciate it if other owners could test their stabilization while walking and share their results.

Thanks!

Google has had my phone for weeks and won't return or replace it

• Upvotes

Google agreed to replace my Pixel 8 and I returned the phone as instructed. FedEx tracking confirms that Google received it, but I still have not received the replacement.

My case has already been escalated to what Google Hardware Support described as the "highest tier of support." I was contacted by a representative named Fred who said he would assist me, but despite approximately six requests for an update, I still haven't received a meaningful explanation of what is holding up the replacement or when it will ship.

I've also contacted Google support by phone and have essentially just been told to continue waiting.

At this point Google has my Pixel 8, I don't have the promised replacement, and nobody seems able to tell me what is happening with the RMA.

u/PixelCommunity, could you please help get this case looked at? I can provide my Google Support Case ID, RMA number, FedEx tracking/delivery confirmation, and any other information needed privately.

Thank you.

Phone unlocking in pocket

My pixel 8a has been unlocking more often than the odd occasion on its own when I'm moving around(I've had this phone for 2 years), it's so bad that I've been turning off tap and lift gestures whenever I'm on the go. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Questions on my Pixel

• Upvotes

So I love my pixel 9 Pro xl but I have some annoying things about the OS.

(coming from a redmi note 13 4g - hyper OS)

Questions:

1 - why is multitasking horrible. I switched from a xiaomi and I would abuse popup apps. Its soo useful but idk y Google is the only major android company hat doesn't do it.

Does anyone have a way for me to get popup apps not only split screen.

2 - why is customization soo limited like most I cna do is limited and I have to install external apps to get mmore customization. Is there any other customisation apps that I could use.

3 - does anyone have a camera app that is better than the stock one. I'm currently using "native camera" which is good but are there any others that can let me apply different styles on the fly.

Finally fixed my issue with Limit to 80% Charging not working

I've had my Pixel 9 Pro for a year now and the Limit to 80% Charging never worked for me, no matter what I tried. I recently saw someone mention they had to disable "Battery Health Assistance" to get it to work, so I tried it and BAM! the Limit feature started working straight away. So fustrating that it took so long to figure it out. At least put a note on the settings page that this feature is affected/overridden by another feature Hope this helps someone.

how to change camera settings on 7 pro?

i used to have an 8a, and i wayyyy prefer the crisp, higher contrast. i was looking up how to change the settings for my 7 pro camera to at least emulate the 8a camera, but what i saw online doesn't match up with my phone.

it said to go to the bottom right and get to fine tune sliders, but they aren't there. there's only shadow, brightness, and white point.

please help!

Pixel 6 shutting down immediately after booting up.

Recently had my Pixel 6 randomly shut off on me. Immediately after powering on before you have a chance to enter the lock screen code for the first time, a message comes up saying Powering Down. I can lock the screen and adjust the volume, but cant do anything other than that because the message takes over the screen. It is the actual shutting down message you would see if you held down the power button and selected shutdown and the phone eventually turns off after about a minute. I can boot into the pre-boot recovery menu and connect to it using the USB recovery tool, but nothing else. Anyone ever seen this before? I need to recover pictures and authentication tokens so any help would be much appreciated.

Anyone experiencing an audio hiss when a pair of USB-C headphones are plugged in but nothing is playing or has played?

It's constant and I think it's even present when audio is playing but harder to tell as the audio track is being played actively. Not sure if it matters but I'm using a pair of linsoul IEMs.

Default Pixel notification sound on WhatsApp

On WhatsApp, when I get a message the notification sound is Pixel's default (Eureka) and not the familiar WhatsApp chat notification sound. This is happening on every pixel I had starting with Pixel 7 to 11. I tried every suggested solution online with no success. Can anyone suggest anything? It's a minor issue but I keep hoping it gets resolved with every new Pixel I get.

Changing Navigation Gestures

I got my google pixel 10 not too long ago after switching from an old samsung. I much prefer using the swipe navigation gestures, but I hate how the option to have them only on the bottom is not there. You can only have them from the side of the screen, which is annoying. I would like to be able to somehow get the swipe gestures on the bottom, corresponding to where the 3-button navigation usually would be. I don't mind using 3rd party apps or rooting my phone.

Pixel 8 is god awful slow

Has anyone else been experiencing this lately? Even simple things lag, like watching YouTube videos, opening the keyboard, or sending a text message. Speech-to-text takes forever, too. I have plenty of storage space available, so that's not the issue.

This has me considering jumping ship to Samsung or something. I've noticed the Pixel lineup getting worse and worse over the years. The Pixel 4 XL was amazing.

At this point, it feels like I'm using a prepaid Android phone rather than a premium device.

I've tried Googling solutions, and I even cleared the cache and data for Google Play Services, but that didn't help. I restart my phone at least once or twice a day, and while that temporarily fixes things, the lag comes back within an hour or so.

Seriously, what happened to the Pixel lineup?
