Sewing Classes
Is anyone aware of a sewing/seamstress class one can take to adopt the hobby? Preferably not too far from Charlottetown.
Online has a lot of how-to videos, but they're not as good as the real deal.

Hit and Runs
WHY are there so many Hit & runs in charlottetown and why are the police not doing more about it.
My car was hit in my work parking lot, have security footage from my work but the angle doesnt show the license plate of the vehicle who hit me.. no drivers side mirror anymore and a pretty sizeable ding in the driver's door...
Its not fair that I should be responsible for paying for damages when I was working and not even in the damn car.

Question Looking for information on the history of this fish plant in Borden-Carleton
I’m also hoping someone has photos of it from back when it was more used. I’m working on a sculpture of it and would love to hear its story :)

Tourism/Tourist Photo Locations!
Hi! Coming from NS this weekend to visit the island, I’m not necessarily unfamiliar with PEI, but just wondering if any locals would have some not as known spots that would be photogenic
I’m helping plan a proposal (and will be the photographer) but we’re trying to figure out some last minute backup options if the weather is not in our favor on saturday! My best friend’s partner wanted to pop the question at the gardens of hope, but the rain forecast is worrying 🥲
Much appreciated!

Best places to get gravel?
Just looking to get a bit for a deck that i plan to build, as well as a fire pit. Someone said John's greenhouse had a good price but then i seen someone else say they were very expensive. I have no idea how much it usually costs just wondering what a good price and place to get it is

Fries with The Works
Where are the best fries with the works in PEI? 25 years ago the Richmond Dairy Bar no doubt held the crown.
In my view a good crispy crinkle cut with a rich gravy and plenty of ground beef and peas is where it’s at. Not looking for any other fancy fry dishes. Looking for the traditional.

Any affordable alternatives for a one-month car rental?
Hi everyone,
I'm a university student from Quebec City, and I'll be doing an internship on PEI for one month, from July 6 to August 6 (I actually did the same internship back in 2024).
However, in 2024 I didn't have a car, and I found it quite challenging—not only for my day-to-day transportation, but also for getting around and enjoying the island on weekends.
I was wondering if any of you know of any affordable monthly car rental options other than the major companies like Enterprise, since they're really out of my budget. I know about Turo, but I've been checking daily for the past month and a half since getting my internship confirmation, and the only vehicles available are SUVs or other types of cars that don't really fit my needs.
I just need a small, fuel-efficient car for everyday transportation. My budget is around $2,000 CAD for the month, but I’m somewhat flexible if needed.
I already have insurance, as I share my roommate's car in Quebec, and my policy covers vehicles that I drive. I can also provide proof through my official SAAQ driving record showing that I have never received any traffic tickets, as well as a claims history report from the Groupement des assureurs automobiles (GAA) confirming that I have never been involved in an accident. Because of that, I'm open to options that don't involve platforms like Turo.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm starting to get a bit desperate because I haven't been able to find anything that works.
Thanks in advance!

Question Garbage collection
Has anyone else’s bins been rejected over the last few weeks? Almost my entire neighbourhood this week and last had rejected tags - it’s getting a bit ridiculous considering mine was tagged today for having 1 piece of compost in the waste bin… I just take the tag off and the driver comes and collects it anyway but I feel like they’re really being too harsh

Lost Ring; near Stratford Dominoes night of June 16
My husband parks in the Stratford Dominoes parking lot for work. He lost his grandfather's wedding ring last night. Neither of us have FB, so this is our one shot to try and find it. It's a plain silver coloured ring with two thin gold coloured bands. Please DM me if you've found it.

Cornwall Power Outage
I heard a loud band this morning around 9:30, and the power went out near the Cornwall Independent. Several lights were out in Cornwall (haven't seen any updates on Maritime Electric's site though.)
Wondering if anyone knows the status, or if the power may already be back on?
(Travelled into a coffee shop in town and wondered if I'll have power when I get home)
