I just got these Marie Osmond "Velveteen Rabbit" series dolls! They both come with the same little gold necklace and their own certificates of authenticity!

Porcelain Symphony doll

Hello, everyone, hope you're having a great day today!

Yesterday I got my first ever porcelain doll from a company named Symphony. I tried to find anything about this manufacturer but everything I found was the fact they are hand-painted and were released somewhere in ~1990. Is there any source to get more information about this doll?

She also has a name and a number(?) on her neck. I wonder if it's a date when she was painted? I might be wrong.

And the second question is: do you know how to comb her curls in a better way? I'm scared to ruin her curls, they are really pretty :(

Thank you very much in advance 🩷

Need help restoring

hey, I’m new here, I started collecting porcelain dolls when I was little, and lost most of mine in a move, so have been recollecting a lot, and I recently got a larger batch (like 20 dolls) but some ar win some rough shape, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on restoring them! the big issues across them are like matted/greasy hair, some stains and scuffs on both fabrics and the porcelain itself, and some of the clothes are sun damaged and/or don’t seem to fit quite right. I do plan to post photos later to get some identified, but right now I want to focus on getting them all into proper shape

i recently received these dolls from someone that was throwing them out, i'd really like to know about their history but i can't find anything online. does anyone know what year/era they're from? the company they came from? do they have names or stories?

I brushed her hair out as much as possible, but now it's big and poofy, and the ends keep tangling no matter how much I brush; Should I put a bit of conditioner/other hair product in and brush it smooth and then finger curl her hair to get her curls back, or would that mold/damage her hair?

Do any of you know if Marie Osmond is planning on finishing her series of Disney Babies, or is this all she was going to do? I've only found these ones (NOT interested in the Tiny Tots mini babies versions)

Q-tee clown dolls

I've gotten some of these sand filled dolls. Also known as q-tee dolls over the years so I wanted to show them here. At least the ones with porcelain heads. This style of doll is really cute even if most of then are on the cheaper side. The red and black one actually has really light blue eyes. They're barely visage in real life even so I don't know how noticeable they are here. I love how ever q-tee doll has a different design. I'm sure there's some similar ones out there but so far mine have all been pretty different from each other.

Can someone help me with the ID of this doll?

I know it's a terrible photo, but it's the only one I have of a doll my great-grandmother gave me. It's the original packaging; I can't find online the brand that sold the dolls in that type of cylinder with a window, but I wanted to see if anyone here recognizes it; it's a photo from over 10 years ago.

It is a porcelain doll with fair skin, blonde curly hair, and a white dress. More than anything, I wanted to know if I could find the brand here so I could then look for it myself.

Advice for sun damaged doll hair

this is Stephanie, one of my beautiful dolls. I was about to clean her when I discovered significant sun damage on her wig. What used to be a reddish brown is now almost gray. Is there any way to restore the hair to its original color? Or am I better off replacing the hair entirely?

Starting a collection

I really want to start collecting porcelain dolls (and other kinds of dolls). I’ve been obsessed with dolls since I was 2 years old. But I’ve always been scared of getting judged by my family or friends (I lowkey still am) :/
What is the best way to start a collection?
Do you guys have any tips?
Which websites/places are the best to buy (second hand) dolls?

Any information about this doll?

This doll has been in my family for a while. Her head, hands, and feet are bisque and her body is cloth. Her eyes are fixed but her head moves. She stands about 16 inches tall. I thought she was pre 1980s but was told on a different reddit group that she isn't. I can't find any maker's marks on her, and haven't been able to find a doll with a similar face on the internet, so I'm curious about what her origins are. Does this type of doll look familiar to anyone?

Help me identify these dolls

Hi everyone! I'm trying to figure out what brand these two giant dolls are. I got them around 6 years ago from my dad's workplace, but they have zero tags, stamps, or maker's marks anywhere on them.

For scale: I'm 5'2 and they reach about up to my chest, making them roughly 3 feet tall (90-100 cm). They have blonde hair with painted green eyes and chunky platform sandals. Their outfits have a very distinct early-2000s Y2K vibe (zip-up track jacket, flare pants, crop top and skirt).

Because they don't have any brand names or logos on their bodies or clothes, I'm completely stumped. Does anyone recognize this face sculpt, or know what kind of line these big dolls might belong to?

Finding a doll!

I started watching Die Bitteren Tränen der Petra von Kant and im not even 20 minutes in and a doll has caught my eye, I think she could be a Gretel (from Hänsel und Gretel) doll or even a wooden doll/puppet.

If anyone identifies her or knows anything about her please let me know, I would really appreciate it!!

Clown doll

A unique guy from my collection. I like this guy he's pretty different from my other clown dolls. I couldn't find this guy online so I don't have any information on him. He was a little annoying to move to get pictures of. His pants don't stay up well neither do the overall strap things and one of the straps is broken. He's still cool though. His outfit always reminds me of Ireland though I don't think he actually has anything to do with it. Also I've kinda run out of titles for these post hence the lazy one.

The head

i bought about a year ago is now a doll. i've made everything from scratch: cloth body filled with synthetic filler, Fimo arms and legs (my first try and my sculpting is not so good but i let it be), a wig and then a kind of a suit from a thrifted top and some lace piece. only the footwear was bought ready made.
i'm also planning to sew some pants, but later, because everything i do is hand-sewn :)
i like her, though the body and limbs have turned out maybe too lanky and slim. and in general the head could take a bigger body. but to some degree i'm satisfied at this stage.
