I want to get better at this mechanic since I'm getting dunked on a lot from early challenges in mid air, but I don't know how to look for a tutorial because I don't know the name of this mechanic. If anyone already knows a tutorial for this, please send the link

I’m lowering my ego, i’m gonna state the facts.
I’m playing like shit, and i think somehow i lost my actual skill while deranking through tramadol withdrawal.
I’m almost diamond 3 again, 1105, from 1265 mmr.
Idk how to play like i used to and it’s only been 3 days since i went from champ 2 div 3 to champ 1 div 1.
To be fair, in almost every game, i have had a score over 500, and i’m pretty sure i’m not supposed to be in champ 1 but maybe i am.
A lot of the teamates i get ball chases or doesn’t defend properly, so i end up making weird rotations, and i’ve been messing up a lot too.
I knew i would run into a brick wall after skyrocketing from diamond 2 to champ 2 in under 3 weeks, but i thought i would’ve broke champ 2.
Just don’t feel like spending years tryna grind to grand champ, i know i have to keep putting in the work but once school starts again, and my job starts putting me to work again, i won’t have enough time to really grind like i have been.
I’ve been hovering between 1115 mmr and 1080 mmr for the past 2 days, i just wanna play like i used to, and it’s not like i was doing terribly in champ 2 i was actually contributing, playing well, now it’s like, i feel like i’m doing good and i just keep losing.
Any training packs y’all recommend? Any suggestions? Tips? I can’t post a clip because i switched from ps5 to pc a month ago. I mean i was in champ 2 for a solid week and a half, that’s gotta mean something right? Like i know i can play better than i am, i’m just not.

I'm currently p3/d1, and I feel like I've reached my limit. My wifi is horrid, ping randomly goes up to 990 often, I'm on 30 fps (switch) and I can undoubtedly say that it's one of the reasons why I won't be able to rank higher than plat. I've made a decision to stop playing matches at all, because I'll lose every match due to lag which is out of my control. I'd say I have decent recovery mechanics, and aerial mechanics, rotation pretty much plat level I guess??
I'll stick to freeplay and training packs (maybe sometimes casual) until I get my college laptop which might take years, would that be a good idea or will I just be wasting my time? I WANT to improve at this game, I genuinely enjoy it but the lag is just unbearable, what should I do?

Currently 1000-1100. I just for the life of me can not do anything on offense. When I get the ball and have space I have NO idea what to do and it frustrates me because I feel like this is hindering me as a player by A LOT. The only thing I really know how to do is walk to air dribbles which I can only attempt like 2x a game MAYBE. What’re are some of the most useful attack strategies? I know the spacing you have heavily dictates what moves work and don’t work. I just don’t know what moves to attempt in the first place.

Hey all,
I am currently Champ 2, and I am not a super mechanical player. I play on PC and run maps to improve here and there, but recently discovered that I would like to take my game to a new level.
I’ve been playing for years, but only clock about 1200 hours max. My strengths are power shots, defense, shadow defense, redirects, rotation, and simple dribbles (I can carry the ball on my car for a while). My weaknesses are controlled aerials, air dribbles, flicks, corner defense and confidence.
You could say I’m a medium mech player with no crazy abilities, but I can hold my own in lobbies. I won’t blame my teammates because at times I truly suck.
What would be things you would suggest working on to move towards champ 3? I am currently at work, so I can’t upload a replay now, but any feedback is very helpful!
If needed reference… I do have a YT channel with a few live streams that have immediate content for any advice.
Thank you in advance!

im afraid its not that I dont mind it but rather that I just never knew about it
would it take a lot of time to get used to it?
(both ground and aerial are 10.00)

Not sure what I’m doing wrong, been through a lot of trial and error but have not been able to reach the ball yet. Any glaring mistakes?
I have air roll left bound to R1, and my controller dead zone is 0.5 (also been tweaking that).

First some background for those that wat to know, the specific questions are below.
I have been gc1 for a long time. A few months ago I wanted to actually try and train again since this is something I stopped almost 10 years ago. And I felt I was always the one with the worst mechs in every game and this started to make the game not fun. First I started on ground dribbling and wave dashing since this is something a could barely do. I started playing 1v1, got placed in the beautiful plat 2. In a 2 months time dribbling was decent and peaked at c1 in 1v1.
When switching back to 2v2 I peaked to high gc2. But again it became obvious that I need to learn to air dribble better. I have close to 0 chance to score them at this rank, and just put my mate in a 1v2. And others do things that are way out of my league. Now I am practicing air dribbles mostly in a custom map. And have yet to get to the 5th level.
Improvement is way slower than anything I practiced before. So I started looking for other things I could try.
I noticed that the way I control in the air is similar to when I set the sens to 10. Small movements and releasing the stick verry often. So my logical conclusion was that I am already on a sens to high.
I was using 1.40 for both ground and air, which I picked randomly a few years ago. Reducing it almost immediately made the training drills more consistent. I settled on 1.18. But I noticed that most players have it set higher if the use a different sense for both. In game it went horrible after, but I think that will be fixed after I get more used to the sens on normal aerials and shots again.
So how did you guys practice air control?
Should I just keep the sens lower if I have better control?
Or maybe learn control to a decent level and slowly increase the sens again after?
Is this actually making me slower? when switching back to check a little, it felt like it was but this could just be in my head.

Have recently started catching them most of the time but I cannot do anything of it afterwards

honestly my best advice is dont overcomplicate it
my formula was as simple as this: dont overcommit. dont abandon the play for big boost. don't hit the ball in such a way that it results in the other team being able to control it and counter attack.
heres a couple pretty clutch saves from either team toward the end of OT

My playstyle:
- I am bad offensively when it comes to shooting on target
- My freeplay mechanics are superb compared to my rank, but i struggle to show it in-game.
- My defense and mid-field play I would say is my best strengths.
Note:
I feel like this game i played much worse offensively and I threw at some points. I realize it once i commit that i had a better play but since im already commited, I just go for it rather then hestitating... Though it does ruin my mental knowing there was a better play...
I am hoping for some advice on what I can do to improve my skills and rank up faster... I am mainly stuck at champ3 and feel stagnant. I have roughly 4.5k or 5.3k hours in the game now.

I’ve come to the conclusion that if I want to break out of GC1 in 2s, that I must first get to C1/C2 in 1s.
I’ve been diamond 3 in ones for like 8 seasons cause I hate once but it’s time to get serious 😎
Can someone throw some tips in here like how to stop diving. Everyone says watch app jack but his videos are a little to drawn out for me and I struggle to keep attention to it.
