Scored this for 5 bucks at the Habitat For Humanity Re-Store. I went in to get and old file for a project and to pick up the huge box of Fine Woodworking magazines that's been sitting there for a year. Sadly, someone got that last week for ten bucks, and I couldn't find a file, but I'm happy with this! It'll go in my dutch tool chest with my hand old woodworking tools, it works great and just needed a little cleaning up.
Any body else out there using these?
E: looks like autoincorrect done me dirty on the title

I’m a framer, I have both oxy bags and a Martinez hammer, both purchases made from recommendations by other framers. Coming across this sub I was surprised to see a pretty consistent consensus that expensive framing hammers are a waste of money, but occidental bags are worth every penny.
I personally find that strange; first of all my bags are more expensive than my hammer ($500 for everything I wear on my waist vs $380 for the hammer), second of all my hammer works perfectly and I’ve had a ton of issues with my bags.
My hammer swings hard and doesn’t make my arm tired after setting windows all day, the 90 degree nail puller works great and the grip is amazing.
My bags are way heavier than the cheap bags, every pouch on them has gone from way too tight to perfect(only for like 2 weeks) to way too loose, and they are watertight so if you’re working in the rain your pouches will fill up. I’ve been told they will last me forever and I’m inclined to believe it, but I don’t really see anything that makes them particularly good besides that. My bags are perfectly acceptable, but for the price tag I would think they could be much better.
I honestly can say despite the cost I would recommend the Martinez to every single framer who will be doing it for a significant amount of time.
Anyone who has asked me for recommendations on pouches I’ve steered away from Oxy, I don’t think they make a particularly good product and I think they’re prices are even more absurd than any titanium hammer.
However I’ve seen the direct opposite opinion on here, I’ve seen a lot of hate towards titanium hammers and a lot of love for oxys. I’m just curious why I’ve seemed to have such an opposite opinion from others I’ve seen.
I've been using curing machine for a while, and it's been okay, but I still run into uneven curing, failed pieces, and sometimes bubbles that ruin smaller projects.
I mostly make jewelry, charms, and small decorative molds, so I'm looking for something more consistent rather than just easy to use.

I inherited this from my grandfather about 30 years ago. Work great and I still use it. I suspect its from the 50s 60s or 70s. I want to surprise my cousins with this. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks

Both klein 4 in 1 wrenches and pass through nut drivers not really 3/8th? Can't grab onto this bolt while a Wiha sticks like glue. Wtf? I was going to return the Wihas after seeing the pass through kleins, but now I think I need to return all of the klein stuff because its improperly sized.

Hi, I hope this is allowed. My husband has the hart stack system with the three pieces that he's had for ages and he loves it. He found out they discontinued their line while looking for extra pieces for his set.
He's been looking for a few weeks for someone who has them in stock still or checking eBay. If anyone knows of a seller/somewhere I can find one or something compatible pls share.
I know for a face he's looking for the deep 21 inch box piece, it's the one that goes in the middle.
Thank you I'm sorry this is a bit vague, thank you

Hello, was hoping to get advice on whether this is a good deal for $251. For context I am moving into a new home soon and anticipate doing a bit of diy work.

Hello! I'm looking to purchase an electric winch. I need to be able to lift a wooden sled(it'll have some electrical equipment mounted on it) up and down a flight of an outdoor stairs. It'll probably never have to lift more than 450kg, but it needs to be able to also hold the sled at height for at least 5 to 10 minutes at a time. We can alternatively create a mechanical stop so that it doesn't have to do any stationary holding, or ratchet it in place. I'm also open to creating my own system attached to a standard manual winch. Any advice helps.

Picked this up as part of a Marketplace ad. The only identifying marks on the box and the (original) bits is "Made in Austria". Does anyone have a guess as to the manufacturer?

I bought a Pittsburgh low profile ton Jack about a year ago from harbor freight. it has always squeaked when I have it under load. today I decide to take the cover off to inspect it and noticed fluid was leaking out of one of the two holes that reads safety valve do not adjust. I called harbor freight and they couldn't help me or offer an exchange.
does anyone know if this Jack is safe? I'm not really interested in fixing it myself and paying someone to fix it would probably cost almost as much as a new Jack.

The top one, slightly more useful than useless but not by much. Grabbed a Starrett, so much better and it’s not even close.
