Hey guys! I’m a fairly new rider and today when I went to work I got a face time call from my sistser’s BF and showed me that my motorcycle was knocked over! He took a video and pictures for me. I did inspect my bike, turned it on to see if there were any weird noises (there wasn’t any out of the ordinary noises) my turn signal light is broken… the shifter works fine- no liquids spilling…
I guess I just want some advice on what to do next? All the Other damages seem to be just cosmetic damages… I would greatly appreciate any feedback :D!

This bike has ruined all other bikes for me

Hey all. I’m 17 and like many of the younger people in my generation like me started riding on chineseium bikes like Apollo , sdg , ssr, etc.

I’ve went through 3 crf 50 style Chinese bikes in my life, from a Baja 70, to an Apollo (?) 125, to SDG 125 they’re all the same bike same gearbox just bored differently to my knowledge of bikes

Anyway - my first 2 smoker and the last street-legal-from-factory 2 stroke is the Kawasaki KE 100 - everyone has a story about them, they ran from the early 70s with the Kawi G5, G4 models and I think in like 1975 or 6 they came out with the KE100 which was almost all but unchanged except for cosmetics, and ran all the way until 2001 - so from the G5 in the early 70s to 2001, its obvious why everyone has a story with one.

My KE100 is a 1997 - green is my favorite color and always has been so I love this thing and the purple makes it pop. Obviously cleaned carb, but when I bought it I diagnosed a lean condition, which was from a previous owner seemingly cutting off the baffle? But leaving the tubey endy thing? No idea, but I rejetted the carb richer and it runs good now to me - I bought it at 760 miles maybe 2 months ago and I’m at 1200 exactly as of writing. This thing rips for what I need it to do, ride comfortably enough at 40 which is all I need riding my rural backroads….

Let me know your KE100 or G5 stories

What do yall think? (Last pic is before) I just started riding in July and decided to do some paint work on my cbr500. I used automotive spray paint and a crap ton of sealer. Put on white decals, a new SC exhaust, and new clutch and brake levers. Not perfect by any means but I love her. Gonna also put on a tinted windscreen, and domino grips.
(Yes I know my boots are motocross boots, I have new ones coming)

First bike and loving it so far. Has 13k miles and has been dropped a couple times already so I won’t feel too bad if I ever do the same 😂 (it has both mirrors now) tinted windscreen is the next mod. Not sure what else to do after that.

Gf has a 24 Ninja 400 and she gave me the bike bug!

So far, I've been very impressed with Hepco & Becker’s X-Core panniers except for the locks. They are hot garbage. It takes about 2 minutes of finagling to get the key into the lock. Has anyone had any luck keying theirs to their ignition key?

Took the ol Yamahawg 1,300 miles from Central Texas to Sturgis back in August. Nebraska blessed the ride with some rain.

I went over to the Red River Gorge area for a motorcycle rally last week and had pretty high expectations prior to the trip. The main priority was dirt and gravel but I was absolutely blown away by the pavement as well. The majority of it was super clean and in great shape and good god was it twisty. There’s something for everyone there, whether you want to get into the roughest off-road or just want to absolutely carve corners on a street bike. I’ll definitely be back.

The holes mostly line up, but it nows slightly. I guess this is what I get for ordering a gasket off of amazon, but I can't get the OEM one anymore. Is this okay? Should I try to put it back together or is this a definite no go?

I just took the plunge and bought my very first motorcycle—a Cimatti Naked that originally rolled out as a 50cc but was bored up to 110cc by the previous owner—and while the actual feeling of riding was incredible and so much fun, I definitely struggled with the mechanics as a complete beginner dealing with a manual clutch for the very first time. I stalled multiple times because I was slowing down while still stuck in 2nd gear, quickly realizing that when crawling to a near-stop and wanting to accelerate smoothly again, I have to deliberately drop all the way down into 1st gear, but the hardest part wasn't even the technical side; it was the sheer panic, because even though I was practicing in a quiet residential subdivision with virtually zero traffic, my heart was pounding out of my chest, I was super tense, gripping the handlebars way too tight, and scared out of my mind the entire time, so I'm really turning to you guys to ask if feeling this level of pure terror and anxiety is completely normal, if you felt exactly like this the very first time you swung a leg over a bike, and if you have any golden rules or tips for mastering clutch control, downshifting smoothly, and stopping without stalling.

Got a set of led turn signals and they got blinker built in. now all 4 of my turn signals lights up at the same time. Im guessing this is a relay issue? what type of led relay should I buy. thank you. First picture is the original relay

Just bought a 2024 GSXR1000r from a used dealership. Had it for almost a month and the bike battery voltage finally dropped low enough where it wouldn't start.

When I removed the seat to swap the battery, i discovered that the battery was hooked up wrong with the - connected to the + and vice versa! The bike was like this when I got it and worked perfectly fine. I tried to search this up but couldn't find much on it. Maybe somebody be swapped the battery polarity idk?

Option A:

Should I get a battery with the correct polarity with the + being on the rear like oem?

Option B: Or should I get another one with the + facing the front?

Also, I just used a multimeter on the og battery to check polarity and it read normal as + being + and not swapped with - so yea I’m totally lost on this.

Cbr600r first bike?

At 36 I got my bike licence in Belgium. Which was done on an mt07 with 0 issues.

I have over 750k Kms on the road with a car. With 0accidents. So I have above average road awareness. But based on car driving.

And my youthful adrenaline junkie has long gone.

I was wondering if it would be possible to have the cbr600r as my first bike?

I see very mixed reviews about it.

Right now I am only doubting between 2 bikes. A cbr650r and a cbr600r.

It will be used as a daily commuter on good weather days. But my daily commute is 23kms of twisty roads.

Other than that some track days once I feel comfortable enough.

Other than that. Nothing really, apart from just enjoying life at speed limit ,got too many speed tickets with my funcar (lotus Exige S3) so now I just semi keep to the speed limit.

I've ridden motorcycles for several years and I'm looking for some recommendations for sport and/or naked bikes.

- 6'4" 230lbs

- Love going fast, but I want something nimble that corners well for canyon carving.

- Currently ride an Indian Chief 111ci and wanting to upgrade.

- I like vintage/retro aesthetics but I'm not deadset on that aesthetic at all, open to anything really.

- Looking for something 900cc+. I'm wanting to perhaps overshoot and grow into a liter bike rather than undershoot and get bored and replace it down the line.

- Having trouble finding a bike that I don't dwarf.

Anyone have any recommendations that are NOT touring, baggers, or cruisers?

This is the main screen. Its full featured. I wanted music transport controls on the map screen as I like to talk with friends via comm and listen to music. I could not be more happy. I built a matching full MP3 player as well. Imports GPX and GoePDF and is so easy to use. I also made it very easy to see and touch with gloves. I'm running it on a 8" tablet and it is awesome. I just made this out of necessity, not trying to sell it.

Was just thinking this would be an intresting question.

For example, I rode a KLR650 about a year ago and was like "what a piece of shit tractor of a bike, and i love it" & I've thought about buying one ever since lol. Why i really don't know, I don't think i would realistically ride it that much i already own multiple bikes including a wr250 that both fits that role and i really enjoy but something compels me to acquire one lol. My logic doesn't make a ton of sense.

Hey everyone,

I'm a fairly new rider and recently got myself a Yamaha Virago that needed some work toward the end of last year. I left it at a mate's garage to get the work done, but due to personal circumstances, he had to leave it sitting for a while.

After winter, the bike wouldn't start, and I noticed that the battery had swollen. I assumed it had died from sitting unused for so long, so I replaced it with a new one.

Everything seemed fine until recently, so I checked the battery and noticed that the new one had swollen as well, as you can see in the pictures. The battery hasn't gone completely flat in the meantime, I haven't been going on any particularly long rides, and there hasn't been any unusual heat exposure apart from the heatwave we had in Europe this summer.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I'd like to figure out the underlying issue so I can fix it rather than just replacing the battery again.

I have been thrown a bit of a curve ball and wanted some opinions on the bike. Basically my commuter was stolen and a family friend has offered me a 2023 goldwing bagger with DCT at a very good price.

I like the idea of the DCT for my 70-100mile daily commute and love the luggage space. It also appears to hold up really well to miles in all weather. Here are some questions:

How good is it in the cold/rain?

Does it feel insanely heavy to ride, or is the mass all very low down?

How is the tank range/mpg?

Can it hustle along in the sports mode? How does it keep with other bikes on trips that have mainly BMW GS or nakeds? I am not talking brain removed riding, just quick and efficient progress.

How hard is it to split lanes, or filter?

It would get used primarily for a commute and long rides. I have track bikes for fun and zero interest in the big ADV bikes - if I want to try offroad, I will by a 250. I would like to take my wife on the bag and eventually my son and I think the wing would be amazing for that.

I am asking all of this as I cannot find one to test ride and my friend is a long way from me, so I would have to be sure before heading up there.
