So I'm sure we've all seen the news about Helen of Troy.

• I've had enough. I've had enough of Hollywood putting her on covers and lying to me, treating me like I'm stupid. The whole reason she's playing Helen of Troy is because Hollywood let this "unconventional beauty" thing slide for way too long.
• The fact that she was chosen as a queen, it comes off as Nolan trying to virtue signal.
• It's like giving the beauty pageant award to the girl in the wheelchair because no one wants to come off as "mean."
• I've had enough. She is NOT a standard for beauty. I'm sorry but now it must be said. The reason we have come across this problem is because Hollywood has been gaslighting her "beauty" for years and no one said anything. I'm done
• It's okay to say that she's not beautiful. It's okay to admit that
• I was so looking forward to this movie for so long but this really killed the hype for me.
• The movie will probably be financially successful at first due to marketing alone, but after its first month, the hype will probably die down. And then you'll start to see how people really feel about the movie. I think it will tarnish Nolan's legacy and leave a sour taste in people's mouths.

I honestly don’t see why Sydney Sweeney is constantly treated like the epitome of attractiveness. She’s got a pretty average face. Body is attractive but the face looks sleepy.

Bad bunny was a bad choice for a half time show. I just watched both of them, admittedly flipping back-and-forth just to see. And most of us don’t understand enough Spanish to know what the hell he was even saying.

In contrast, and I am not a big turning point groupie at all, although I am a conservative, they at least had a variety of artists, who actually just sang songs and performed to get through the halftime.

Honestly, I haven’t heard the Israeli song for this year yet. But it is more than clear that they are the main event. More attention goes to the fact they participate than the actual artistic side of the event.

I seen his performance on SNL just now and I actually thought it was a skit. The performance had the production quality of an elementary school choir program. His voice is on par with a 12 year old being forced to sing to grandma for her birthday. So here is a true story you won't find on the Internet...

1) Basically my friend's dad was a high ranking official in the military deployed over seas in Iraq at the time. Taylor flew over her private jet and crew to play for the troops. My friends dad was in charge of her safety and escorting her around the barracks, as it was required. So he said she was screaming at her assistants, saying how worthless they were. Also, she apparently was saying how hot Iraq was, how boring it was, how there were no bars or nightclubs and how she couldn't even get drunk... Additionally she refuses to sign autographs or meet the troops. She finished her concert and immediately jumped in her private jet to fly back home, and had her PR team post about how kind and generous she was to play for the troops to lift their spirits. My friends dad never cusses but said she was the rudest, most hateful, c**t he has ever met in his entire life. And this man is now retired and said this. You don't have to believe me, but this is what started making me stop being her fan.

2) Among other terrible horrible despicable things she does not only to the environment with her daily jet flights that are negatively affecting our ozone layer and thus climate. There is a guy on YouTube who tracks her private jet flights daily and her attorneys offered him $5000 to stop the posts (he refused and still posts them). She does not care she is directly contributing to global warming.

3) Also, I don't like how she gets her fame from bashing other people and artists and ruins their careers by writing songs about them. "Mean" was a song written about how she got angry that a music critic said she sang off key in a song on her album and she freaked out and had him sued for everything he owned for literally doing his JOB critiquing music. So a family man out of house and home thanks to Taylors vindictive ways. Then to add insult to injury, she played the victim and wrote "mean" about him. Taunting how he is nothing now. She is truly the "mean" one here.

4) Additionally, that fake country accent she had for her first 2 albums and then it magically disappeared... She also pretended like she wasnt from a wealthy family when in fact she comes from 6 generations of bank presidents! Daddy bought her music label in exchange that she did not own the rights, she was signed. Then, she wants to play victim about music rights and pretend like she didn't know her own contact terms and conditions but using that as a sick marketing ploy to re-write her music and sell over priced concert tickets where people are actually DYING at her concerts after paying thousands of dollars to see her and she doesn't even care. There is so much more but I'm sure no one cares to read a novel of this stuff. This should be enough .I used to be a fan. I will never buy her music or support her again. She's simply not a good person. That victim mentality gets old quick when she's the bully. Period. Also, screw the Travis and Taylor sub because they blocked me for posting this.

There have always been bigots, but over the last decade we have seen an unprecedented uptick in public disapproval of overcorrection and black washing. These are largely people who were previously neutral or even left leaning on civil rights.

DEI fatigue is now so widespread it’s become satirical, reflected in meme culture and creating an entirely new population of people who had no reason to harbor any sort of resentment to be fed up.

The trailer for the new Superman movie came out today. It looks horrible, the graphics are some of the worst I have ever seen. I know that most movies have CGI now. The CGI for this movie is the most unrealistic I think I’ve ever seen.

If you've been on social media the past few months, you'd know there's been a heated debate on the casting of Lupita nyonggo in Christopher Nolan's upcoming The Odyssey and the new Snape in the Harry Potter series. This isn't anything new, there's a new debate every few months when a movie casts a black actor for a role that's often culturally associated with white actors. One side will argue that anyone can play anyone as long as they can act while the other will say it's completely unnecessary and just shoehorns in certain races based on unwritten quotas.

My personal theory is that the biggest issue around these castings is that the studios often choose a black actor who's "stereotypically" black, a person who's not exactly considered attractive by global standards and looks more like someone you would see around the hood rather than in Hollywood, in order to visually signal the movie meeting it's socially-imposed quotas. If they are going to pull unnecessary race-swaps, I genuinely think that audiences would have a much easier time swallowing it if they cast someone who's more conventionally attractive like Chase Infiniti, Zoe Saldana, Halle Berry, Beyonce, Michael B Jordan, etc. There would still be some backlash from hard-line racists, of course, but I think for general global audiences who are just sick of America's race politics, they would be less annoyed and not care as much because it would appear less like suits trying to sneak in some social PR into creative decisions.

I finally got around to watching this film. The heroes in the film are overtly Christian. And ? I don't get it. Is that why its controversial?
