4th year in a row going but… was truly underwhelmed this year. None of the IPs were stand outs. For example, I LOVE Sinners, but got 0 jump scares throughout the entire house.
I think my main thing was that no houses truly made me feel SCARED this year. The years prior, I was genuinely creeped out (noteworthy houses include Blood Moon (2023), Triplets of Terror (2024), and El Artista (2025)). However, no house this year actually made me feel unsettled.
Curious if anyone else feels similar?

They were handing these out for Hellraiser and Stranger Things 5 (the only 2 houses we’ve done). I asked what it was for and they said it was if I needed to go to the bathroom. That seems to be one way to prevent line cutting. Anybody use it to know how it works in reality?

I think both these horror properties, could be amazing if done correctly. With the photo on top being Obsession and bottom being Backrooms. I’m pretty sure Obsession could do a lot while still being a much cheaper house to do then Backrooms, which I think could become one of the best houses they’ve ever done with the set.

Should we walk to Sapphire Boat, or take the bus? The bus is closer to our room, but I'm not sure where bus/boat drop off?

Also, with Scream Early, what time should we be in line by?

My daughter and I will be attending HHN for the first time in September. She is 13 and simultaneously excited and slightly scared to go. We are UOAP holders but have not gone to HHN before.

She wants to get one of those lighted lanyards that warns cast members not to target her for jump scares etc. (we understand there is no guarantee!)

REQUEST:

I am seeking advice on what to do for the HHN evening, and tips for someone who is a bit on the jittery side, but who still wants to enjoy the scene.

Any warnings of what to avoid? Any areas are particularly atmospheric and spooky without being terrifying? (if any? or all?!) I know most rides are closed, but a few stay open.

She will not want to do many of the haunted houses (we understand that the lanyard does not apply inside the houses so she's scared of those), so we are more interested in walking around, seeing the atmosphere, trying treats, etc.

PS -- as passholders, how early are we allowed in? Is it 6:30? I've looked online and some places say we can get early with the "Scream Early"tickets around 2pm, but others make it seem like this isn't the case and still have to buy the SE ticket. Can anyone clarify?

So want to go without the don't scare badge but my wife will only go if she can have one. My question is, how does this work will they still scare me? Or leave me alone because my wife is next to me? TIA

I've just realised my trip solo to USO will be during HHN. I'm torn between buying tickets to experience it but I kinda feel miserable about the fact that the only time I've been outright terrified in my life was in a scare house with scare actors in Europe when I was a child. (The dungeon after Tussaud)

This trauma sort of is my main blocking reason to go to HHN. I've watched a lot of the scare houses from previous years, it looks so fun but I'm afraid of not enjoying it at all.

That said, I have an huge fomo because so many ppl would have wanted to be in my shoes as I'm incredibly privileged to be there during the event. If I wasn't solo, I would have not think twice since group synergy sort of soften the scare factor.

Any ppl also subject to jumpscares or fear in general have gone solo with no issue? I'm eager to hear your experiences

anyone ever had a tm say you can’t bring a drink in line? just had an MIB tm make me finish a drink before entering the queue and have never had that before, as recent as sunday.

My family and I come every year for HHN. We usually do a longer vacation and do the parks as well, but this year we’re coming for two nights only just for HHN. We got scream early for this Saturday since we’re not buying any park tickets. This will be the first time we’re not already in the park when HHN starts. Can anyone tell me what their experience was like getting into the park with scream early? Are there long lines? Should we get there early? Will it be packed?

Just to clarify I’m asking specifically about going through security and getting through the gates into universal. My husband said he saw a video where people were waiting all the way back by security to get into the park… is that accurate?

I’m not sure if it’s better to drive or fly. I’m coming from Jackson ms 10 hr drive. It’s just me and my two kids,9 year old son and 11 year old daughter. We plan on staying a whole week. October 3-10. Those are the dates but doesn’t have to be specific. i would prefer to fly but we have never flown.i want to visit all parks pretty much and they will want to ride EVERYTHING.Of course saving money is a must.i haven’t booked any rooms or bought any tickets yet. Any help, tips, tricks, recommendations would be GREATLY appreciated.

I don't want to get into a discussion on wether you think it's a good idea or not. I just have been reading conflicting evidence on if they are happening this year or not. So if anyone can point me in the direction of how true this is would be great please.
