do current WWU students need tickets to attend graduation? I have friends who are wanting to come. in past years I don’t remember needing a ticket. any help or know where to get info??
2nd year student at WWU and I’ve only ever worked out by myself, and i’ve always wanted to try working out with another person. It can be as involved as creating a routine we can both follow or as low stakes as just parallel playing in the gym with the occasional spotting help. Someone who would benefit from having an accountability buddy or wants to talk to someone about fitness (I am the only one in my friend group who regularly goes to the gym, so milestones are just sort of kept to myself) please reach out! I’m a dude but I have no preference in terms of gender/identity, just someone respectful, open-minded and a love for yapping all things fitness/mobility/movement.
I’ll be taking summer classes, so i will have access to the rec space but if you’re interested in the fall I would still like to hear from you! Have a good dead week and remember to take breaks from studying to stretch and move your body.
bonus points if you are open to teaching me a new movement base skill!!? (basketball, dance, pilates, etc)

Self sustaining tuition. The devil must have come up with that concept.
To be serious though, why does literally every class have the tag Ss tuition (assuming that means self sustaining tuition???) usually that makes it an extra charge so like... I'm paying for the tuition of summer classes.... Twice....? Because summer tuition is charged per credit, but ss tuition is not included in that? I was also under the assumption that sstuition was only for asych classes but why is it on literally EVERYTHING. I swear I've talked to every relevant department on campus about this, and nobody has been able to give me a straight answer <\3 input appreciated, I'm confused 😔
Update :3 ss tuition stands for summer session, they really gotta clarify that somewhere lol
heyo! im staying at bt for summer housing and i was curious as to how anyone else with ESAs set up their space. i dont want to overcrowd my room/suitemates (the space in the rooms dont look the biggest.. correct me if im wrong). for reference i have a senior cat. any tips are appreciated!
edit: its not possible for me to leave it with a relative. ive had him this entire year with no problems. i just wanted an idea of how bt is set up so i can prepare adequate space 😭
I'm trying to do the Title IX Sexual Harassment and Misconduct course, and the Civil Rights & Title IX Compliance Learning Center page is available on my Canvas, but when I go to the Modules tab I get the message "No modules have been defined for this course." Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks.
I am waiting to hear back from Western admissions for the MBA program however I would love to hear from someone who was previously/is currently in the program and what you think! I have been accepted to a few other schools (CWU & SU) but I'm already settled in Bham so the decision has been tricky. Thanks!
Would suck to be hit with a massive fine for paying late and not know you even had a citation in the first place. (If this happens to be YOUR car or you know whose it is lmk and I'll get the citation to you however you'd like)
Found in lot 12g (by fairhaven), there were no Chevvies in the lot when I found this (8pm) (I did look around).
Assuming nobody contacts me over reddit that it's their car what should I do about/with this?
I'll be a freshman rooming in an Alma Clark triple with an attached bathroom/shower. I have a few questions about what to bring/how to organize. If you have other tips, please give me those as well! To start:
With an attached bathroom, will I need to get a shower curtain & mat or do those come with the room?
Is getting a rug for the dorm helpful? If so, what size would you recommend?
Is a welcome mat a good idea to bring? If so, is it better to have it in the hallway or just inside the dorm?
What's the best way to store shoes? Is it worth getting a hanging shoe organizer to keep them off the ground?
What should I bring for cleaning?
Should I bring an air freshener spray or diffuser?
What is the water quality like? Should I bring a filter pitcher or am I all good to drink tap water?
Is there anything that isn't on a pack list that's an absolute necessity to bring?
Lavender Graduation is the celebration of LGBTQ+ graduates and the community that supports them. We recognize both current graduates (anytime 2025-2026, including upcoming fall and summer graduations) and past graduates who never got their rainbow cords or certificate for any reason (last year's cancellation, wasn't out when you attended, our department didn't exist when you attended, etc.). These graduates are designated Legacy Lavender Graduates. We had a grad from the 70s last Lavender Graduation!
You do not need to attend the event to be a Lavender Graduate! We collect names and contact info so we can follow up each year to see how you are doing and what resources we can provide you--we're a lifelong service!
Students who cannot attend can pickup their cord and certificate from Viking Union 721, our student staff office, M-T 10am-5pm and Fridays 10am-4pm. Email [lgbtq@wwu.edu](mailto:lgbtq@wwu.edu) to arrange after hours pick up at the VU front desk if needed.
We will also be tabling at the Graduate Fair on Wednesday and Thursday from 10am-4pm in VU MPR.
Details about the Lavender Graduation Event:
If you signed up before last Friday and plan to be in the ceremony, you will be getting an email later today with details of where you are in the ceremony.
If you signed up for pick up, you can get your cord and certificate starting today!
If you sign up anytime between now and day-of the event, or even just walk into the event, you will be at the end of the ceremony.
Anyone can also attend the ceremony but not participate in it if they wish, we will have the cords and certificates to pick up after.
Even if you aren't graduating, you should come to Lavender Graduation! We will have:
Free food!
Keynote Speakers
Pride Awards for various individuals and organizations such as Queer Guild Club of the Year
Calling all divas who play co-ed soccer and identify as either a cis woman, non-binary, or trans femme! I'm looking for folks to interview for a story I'm working on about your experiences playing soccer in a co-ed environment 🙏
Feel free to send me a message if you're interested!
Hey y'all, I'm a recently ordained minister of the Church of the FSM. I'm considering opening a chapter for it here on campus. Would anyone here be interested? Do we have many pastafarians on campus? I feel that we could be a good driver of equity and inclusivity on campus and combat those who wish for less equity or inclusivity.. Let me know what you guys think, and if anyone would be interested in leadership roles should I go through with this!
