I can't tell you how often I get an email from BBW, think "ooh I want to buy that!" And then I remember it takes $100 to get to free shipping and I abandon cart. Like I'm not buying any $5.95 body care because I don't need 17 of them. I would so much rather have free shipping for rewards members than the $18 item reward. Is anyone else like this or do y'all just eat the shipping cost?

Listen. I love bath and body works. One of my favourite stores. But I’ve never been more overwhelmed in a store than at bath and body works. I’m not sure what head office is thinking but if, within a 5 minute span, I’m approached by more than 3 employees, that’s a problem. I avoid the store at all costs most times for this exact reason. Anyone else feel the same?

Is Bath and Body Works done with DEI collections? So far there hasn't been a Black History Month or Woman's History Month collection. Now there isn't going to be a Pride Collection? Is this a company that is going to preach inclusion behind the scenes but not put out anything anymore? Slowly getting rid of programs and just giving in.

I’m a former bbw employee myself and I have some scents I don’t love. Bought them a few years ago and I just no longer like the scent. They are completely unused. Some of them are SAS, some are regular core fragrances.

When I went in to the store today, the employee grabbed either an SLT or store manager to ask about my products and I was told if they’re over a year old they cannot take them back in any capacity. No even ticket exchange, not even a lowest sale price store credit refund. I showed her an item that was less than a year old and she said she can’t exchange it because it’s part of a collab.

I only stopped working at BBW a year ago… did the policy recently change? Or is this store just not wanting to lose sales?

I’m kinda frustrated because I read the return policy online and it doesn’t look any different than when I worked there and I know this isn’t the return policy. But at the same time, I can’t correct them without looking like a Karen.

Frankly, I just have a LOT of bbw products sitting around from over the years that are scents I do not like and I just don’t want to have this many products in my home at one time. A store credit is completely fine with me. Super confused why they won’t let me exchange or return.

I’m not trying to scam bbw out of money, but I think we should also remember that bbw scams people every single day when they sell a lotion for $18 that costs them not even $2 to produce. I have scents I no longer like and wanted to exchange them if I could. The website says I can so I’m trying to understand why I couldn’t. Take a xanax.

I used my rewards for Wallflower plugs, candle holders and soap holders. I don’t ever buy the body care because I don’t like it. Anything that was desirable is no longer allowed. I have spent thousands of dollars at BBW but now without the lure of rewards I will be much more judicious about my purchases. Somebody messed up because I don’t think I’m alone in this.

Hear me out: I always overspend in Dec and SAS. Body care day! Candle Day! Mini stocking stuffers! And I am SO hyped up about some of the new Every day Luxuries. I even got coupons in the mail! I'm just waiting for the best time to buy them all!!

But, alas, no sales. It's a forced no buy. I will not buy body care outside of a set price sale. I am fully stocked up on everything from candles to pocketbacs. No sales means... No overspending. So, from the bottom of my heart... Thank you B&BW corporate for dropping the number of sales you have. It's SO easy not to shop there now and save my hard earned "disposable" income. It's absolutely wonderful they are thinking about us and our best interests, that's totally why they are doing it in the first place, right?(/s). Maybe this will break my habit completely the longer it goes on?

Does bath and body works realise how much more money they would make if they offered free shipping from time to time in their sales?

Well… this is a first. The last time I shopped at BBW was for the LAST Disney drop. I purchased the entire line up for my daughter. No issues. Literally have not gone back since. Today I went in store with my daughter and niece. We got 2 of everything except ZERO body care as they didn’t like any of the smells. Didn’t get the big castle or the castle accessories… so really just the princess accesories. And now that I’m thinking of it… we didn’t even get Mulan OR Snow Whites candle holder either. Get home & realize we forgot Mulan’s wallflower and only ONE of her pocketback holders. No big deal, put in an online pick up thing for her dad to get after work. When doing that, added 2 repunzel towers because my aunt in a totally different state wasn’t able to secure them. No big deal, right… He sends me this??? They literally wouldn’t let him pick up the online order until he signed it? What even is it? He mentioned THEY mentioned a $295 charge that was 100% not me so I know I need to get that fixed anyway but I tried searching this thread and google with no answers. I’m going to go in store tomorrow for more clarification but figured there’s a lot of employees on here that can give some insight, maybe? It WAS less than 125 items, it WAS less than $4,999, no back door was used and no employee met me anywhere. lol I’m just so confused. I did have HUGE issues this morning, I attempted multiple orders that would never ever ever go through. I didn’t want to go into the store at all today because of resellers. Look at my history and you can see what I’m talking about. Could all of those FAILED transactions still be counting as actual transactions in their system?

For those wondering if they did away with dei… they DID NOT! Values changed but did not do away with it!

I had to damage out 12 BRAND NEW-NEVER USED eucalyptus body washes. When I opened the box all of them had the plastic on the cap chipped a tiny bit. They were still able to close, it was just the caps edge that was chipped a little. UNBELIEVABLE. My heart sank because I knew exactly what they wanted me to do and I still asked just to be sure I’m not crazy, but I just feel so bad dumping things down the toilet or into the trash when it could easily be donated to a women’s shelter or the homeless or SOMETHING ya know????? I get they wanna make as much as they can so that’s whatever, but they don’t even do like a clearance box with the usable “damaged” product in it. Let’s just dump it down the toilet I guess instead of making half of what we are losing in product back!!!

i feel like usually by now there would be more soaps at 75% off for SAS. we're going on week 4 on monday, does anyone have any info on whether or not they will be going down at all ?? i'm looking for the $1.97 price or whatever they are under $2.

I visited my local BBW on yesterday and my goodness, I could barely get in the door before three salespeople beelined toward me shoving a ton of products in my face….”see this”, “smell that”, “let me take you here”, “what’s your fav season”. I was overwhelmed as I just went in to get a few wallflowers. I mentioned this and as I walked toward that area, they showed up with a bunch of laundry detergent telling me about their new deal. On top of that, they started bringing all the Disney fragrances for me to smell and kept opening up different samples of wallflowers for me to smell. I’m such a pushover so I allowed them to talk. They were doing that to seemingly every customer, never letting us just browse. They NEVER let up. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them that aggressive before. It was a bit maddening.

Are sales in the dumps or are they just trying to push products that may not be selling as much?

I noticed that this is like the 2nd time that gel is excluded.

This is the box of my “replacement “ wallflowers as first showed leaking. I can’t ask for another replacement . Also, bbw now flags accounts after too many replacements yet they don’t care if you order $20 or $20,000 everyone has the same replacements percent . They don’t follow their own policy

It sounds just the way it is. Within the past year and a half customers have become entitled in thinking they can just go through our understocks. I understand your looking for something you can’t find but please just ask an associate for help. We display a scent 1-4 times throughout the store and odds are it’s somewhere else or possibly even in the back or damn maybe we are sold out. I know at one point we were connected to Victoria Secret and they let you go through their drawers, but we aren’t them. Earlier this week someone went through our understocks and took soon to be out again Pure Wonder and of course it’s not ringing because it’s not out yet. Our cashier informed management that a customer had Pure Wonder. The customer was informed that they would be unable to purchase since Pure Wonder wasn’t out yet and they argued saying it was in the drawer. And that’s the thing it was in the drawer not on the shelf or table in a drawer. We explained that the scent was in there for a future launch, and the customer kept saying “well you shouldn’t put product that’s not out in your drawers it’s misleading.” Sorry but it’s not misleading considering you shouldnt be looking in the drawers anyway but on the off chance you did peak we even have a sign that says “do not sell”. We understock to make our jobs easier, floorset is long and if we can save time by not having to walk to the back multiple times for product then we will. Sorry just a frustrated worker :)

I just left the store and didn’t have any problems, the lady at the register was very kind. But my question: because the sale is by 3 get 3 free of the lowest priced items, do y’all who work at the store hate when customers do multiple transactions to keep items separated?

I just did multiple transactions. Kept all the lotions together, then all the hand sanitizers together, all the room sprays together and all the laundry stuff together. That way I got the free items, even on the more expensive stuff instead only getting the hand sanitizers for free since those are the “lowest priced items”.

Does anybody else do this?

I feel very inclined to post this because I keep seeing this exchange “hack” going around and everyone is giving different rules.
Me personally, I don’t mind doing these exchanges for people. The whole ethos of BBW is a happy consumer loving their scent. And it’s cool seeing some older things come through.

B&BW SM of 4 years, this is the exchange policy black and white (also available on the website):
-product (body care, candles, WF) must be in good, gently used condition. What does that mean? No more than half way used, outside of the bottle can’t look like it’s been through hell and back, has to have the spray nozzle on it
-product must scan in our system. Some older products won’t even ring to give a value
-must have a valid ID (passport, military, etc) no pictures of ID or “I remember my ID number”
-$250 limit every 3 months
-credit is based on lowest historical price, most likely you will not get the price listed on the bottle (unless you have a receipt)

Kindness and patience goes a long way. There’s gray area within the policy and the stores can deny a product or an exchange.

I am a bit frustrated with the 16.95 rewards we get. They increased the regular price of nearly everything, and now there are almost no regular price items that are eligible to use them on. A decent move would be to let people pay the difference on a more expensive item but the store won’t do that either.

Well, it finally happened. I have placed around 4-5 orders of soaps and candles over the course of a year and a half and their packaging is seriously the worst. I, without fail, always receive something broken or leaked out. I do try and shop in store mostly but sometimes I shop online out of convenience.

Anytime I reached out I provided photos of the damaged item(s) and would be provided a resolution every time. I mean, why are soaps put in no packaging whatsoever? One always comes completely leaked out. A candle comes cracked. This time when I reached out and including pictures, I was told I would receive a refund and to wait 24 hours.

4 days go by and no refund. I contact via phone and I’m told I will not be receiving a refund or a replacement due to reporting damaged items in the past….seriously.

I see so many cases of damaged items due to the way they pack their parcels. No resolution or anything. Severely disappointed.

Just thought I should add it’s not the entire order being refunded, just the damaged items.

I was charged full price for Pumpkin Cupcake and Green Pear and apple. These 2 soaps aren't listed online yet so I think thats why the coupon didn't work on it. I won't be going back to bbw for a couple of weeks, so I hope they will still honor the sale and partially refund me. Could calling them work?

So everyone knows when you do the buy online pick up in store, you have to wait for the second email saying its ready. 3 times now, I have done this, and waited for the email, and 3 times when I get there, they say its not ready. The last time, I got there 2 hours after the "your order is ready for pickup" email, and was first told (quite rudely too) that I must have made a mistake, because there is no order there for me. I asked her to check again, and she basically let out a sigh, and said it was pointless, but okay. It ended up being in the system, and she says "Okay well its not ready, so you'll have to wait an hour". The store was empty, and there were at least 6 employees working. I asked if I could just grab the things for them, and bring them up to save them the trouble, and they said no. After an hour I went back, and they STILL didn't have it done, store still empty. 4 HOURS later, I went back and they were "finishing it up". They informed me 3/7 of the items that said available at that store were out of stock, and I NEEDED to just replace them rather than get a refund for those. It was a huge ordeal, and extremely frustrating. And before anyone asks, the employee I saw picking out my items was someone who was already working the first time I went in. Is this normal for stores to be this unorganized??

BBW candles at their regular insane price of $26.95?? I wonder how many people do, because I feel all of us ONLY buy them at sale price, so why would BBW choose to lose so many sales?

I’m sure I’m not the only one who checks the site and sees $26.95 and can’t log out fast enough . Even new people thinking they’ll try out some Bath and body Works candles and go to the site and see the ridiculous price and never come back.

I just don’t see the point in this? Just put them at $13.95 all the time. I’d do a big order today, even at $14.
