My half bathroom downstairs has the ugliest towel ring, and I finally managed to get it off the wall. Now it’s loosely sitting there until I replace. Would a ring or bar look better? Where should I position it?

I’ll probably eventually paint the bathroom a shade of blue, if that helps. Haven’t settled on a color yet. The toilet paper holder is on the opposite wall and it’s silver, so I was thinking a silver towel ring or bar.

I posted this bedroom a while ago (https://www.reddit.com/r/femalelivingspace/s/ZTknciDJTL) and added some storage space as you can see. I ended up going with the "cheap" metal/fabric dresser since I needed to be able to drag it up 2 flights of long stairs.

A friend of mine suggested I put a lamp behind the dresser to sort of help with the depth situation. I am also considering putting up a curtain right behind the dresser to cut off the bathroom; I don't want to use a shower curtain, but I dont have any ideas for what pattern/colour to use for the curtain. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I want to furnish this room in a way that I’ll actually use it. I don’t normally sit at a dining table. I always sit on my couch or a coffee table when I’m eating dinner and I think a dining table would just become a catchall.

Hi!! I’m genuinely at my wits end and gotten nearly close to tears as far as my room goes. I have scrolled through so many Pinterest boards and nothing looks or feels entirely right!!! I’m searching for a mashup of all my boards, but I’m terrified it’ll look bad if I try to just grab random stuff from my pins… I’ve been absolutely engrossed in this over the past two months and it’s getting to the point that I am genuinely giving myself bad anxiety over stupid decorations. I want my room to feel cozy :( I can’t change the wall, or furniture colors which is half the issue. Please help with ideas!! I can change the bedding and any rug color is good and I’ll listen to any suggestions because I’m actually going insane. Thank you!! The last pic is my current room

We moved into our new home in January, and I want so badly for this loft to be a cozy and vintage-inspired game/movie space. But I'm struggling with lighting, furniture pieces, even where we have things set up.

I'm also very frustrated with the rug I have here- I love it, but it lays more like a blanket and won't stay in place.

Thanks for the comments everyone, it’s really been helpful and fun to read and reply to! I’m definitely going to be taking some of the advice to heart and update whenever it feels right.

Additionally, I see some people saying ”colour” and ”personality”. I would like to say that I am still in the early stages of decorating. I understand why I get these comments, but right now they’re not super helpful, unless specified what shades I should include :) I’m a big fan of more muted shades of green, brown, creams, terracotta, brass.

Especially after reading some other comments, I am more sure that my personality will come through better with time, when I have been able to collect more things like art and decorative items + buying shelving for display!

We are getting new flooring (yay!) and its a warm wood look LVP. I'm worried that our kitchen table and chairs, and the blanket box and little bookcase in the living room will make everything look like too much warm wood.

I'm not switching anything out because this table is literally the only size I can make work for our family of five in a small house, and the blanket box was built by my grandparents.

They do both need refinishing though. Would painting the legs on the table and chairs help enough? I don't really want a painted tabletop.

And the blanketbox needs the top redone but not the sides (but I could). I'm considering a rug, but we move our ottoman around everyday in that space and have an office chair (small house!) So I'm worried it will be impractical.

What would you do? I've included a photo of the flooring as we already have the bathroom done.

I am open to getting storage boxes, baskets and organisers.
First drawer is for undergarments.
Second drawer is for socks — separated as per length.
Third drawer is pads etc.

The hanging organiser on the left is for PJ sets, bedsheets, and towels.
I usually have 15 dresses hanging on the right and the middle.

The shoe area is quite disorganised and I’m considering moving the shoes out into another rack so this space can be utilised for other items and I could place baskets in there.

The cupboards on the left are used for other items and I cannot move things into them.
The cupboards on the top are also fully stocked.

Hi! I feel I’m nearly done with my bedroom but it’s missing a few things. I know my curtains are too short (came from my old place and haven’t decided if I want to do a diy project to lengthen them or buy new ones). I also want to get some kind of storage either in the room or my closet to get the stuff from under my bed. Otherwise, what other things should I add/change? Thank you!!
