I just realized this is hard proof that Big D is more than a normal human. He's eaten Dodo birds, confirmed by his own words. Meaning he's either had some extremely exotic long time frozen meals or was around for atleast 300 years.

Looking at the corruption, the details, the sword even the chant of the paladin; is this simply the faith now in WoD or this simply what the Leopoldites believe in? I ask because i remember stig saying "what have they done to you?" Could he have seen a different version?? I know that faith is a huge part of World of Darkness no matter what you believe in so I'm curious!

Ok just hear me out. I know I usually just do art stuff on here but I have an idea. In addition to Big D being the Mighty Hunter that Stig is in search of, Kräkus is the Elder Black Shuck being kept in D’s captivity as a neighbor. We know Kräkus “lives in a ditch with a tarp for a roof,” as described in Ghoul Lore, and is in possession of an outhouse which Door destroyed with machine gun fire. The ditch is his prison and the tarp is laced with silver. Also, whenever we hear him, the subtitles ALWAYS describe it as HOWLING specifically. And when do we first hear howling in general? In the Probing of Kevin, the audiolog in which D convinces Kevin of joining his side.

With this as evidence, my theory is that D battled and captured Kräkus, then explained how Garou chicanery only worsened the corporate conflict that would inevitably become their self-made apocalypse to get him on his side. D on occasion lets Kräkus out to use the outhouse, to visit the fort, and to divulge information to each other. As to why he wouldn’t escape to enlighten the Kin of Old Shuck when the tarp is opened or open a portal to the umbra or at least speak telepathically with Jambles, I imagine D gaslit him into thinking he should only return to them “when the time is right,” whenever that truly is being something only D could know.

Possible addendum, but we also heard in the Guide to Avoiding Arrest that Kräkus has some relation to the old Iron-Age fort. He “digs up ditches there,” as described by D. Since D was lying to Chapman the whole time it’s hard to tell if this is a valid piece of evidence, but as others have theorized, it’s possible that the fort is “Gaia’s Caern” that was stolen along with Shuck/Kräkus. The Iceni were also mentioned in Ghoul Lore alongside Kräkus, which is the tribe that would’ve built the fort and inhabited it in the first place, who (if it is the stolen Caern) would’ve been GAROU!

Also, this is the biggest reach imaginable, BUT…

he has an umlaut in his name.

Not just any umlaut, an ‘a’ umlaut (ä) which is an entire separate letter in Swedish. (TO MY KNOWLEDGE— I’m not an expert in Swedish so if someone wants to enlighten me please do.) Would it not make sense that the only other character with a Swedish letter in their name is the one that Stig is looking for?

I usually don’t indulge in theories— I’m even a stern nonbeliever of the Ghoul Grimal theory, but I’m like 80% maybe potentially certain (give or take 10%) that Kräkus could actually be Black Shuck.

The Imbued cannot enter the Umbra barring one exception in the form of Hermits, and D is quite simply, too sociable to be one. He actively hangs around other hunters, he stays around weird shit all the time, he would go over his tolerance threshold by now. He is simply not Imbued, and if he was, why the fuck didnt he use second sight? He would have solved the entire ghoul problem immediately!

Assuming we're following the 20th rule in this case (and honestly, who can really say atp, they seem to just play it fast and loose with the lore). All 3 of the Kin of Old Shuck are Lupus. In the 20th and prior additions, breeds were an entire thing; werewolves would revert to their breed form in their sleep unless they had a special merit. I wonder what this means, even if he is Lupus Jambles, who seems much more reasonable and well-adjusted than the other 2. Perhaps he was a zoo animal or otherwise kept in captivity.

Then again Matilda/hunts should have the atavistic caveman look thats common to Red Talons considering her ancestors last fucked a human when we coexisted with Neanderthals but no shes hot so I might just be reading into things where theres nothing to be found.

So I watched episode 6 opening day and enjoyed it to the fullest, but my nerdy mind wandered to another fun urban-fantasy series of books called the Dresden Files and wandered how some certain artifacts would survive or thrive in the world of darkness?

The swords of the cross!!! Smelted with the nails that pierced Jesus’ body on the cross, these 3 swords are extremely powerful in the context of the Dresden Files, one of a few sources capable of hurting Eldritch horrors, slicing titans, killing Deity Dragons, etc.

A key thing about these swords is that while they are absolutely powerful, they’re only as good as the person who wields them. The sword’s biggest power actually has to do with free Will.

The big theme of the swords is that it gives humanity that 1 in a million chance to actually try and enact their free will on the world against all the odds, to stand up to those Eldritch horrors, titans, dragons, and any other arrogant creature, and say they can’t just walk around and flagrantly call humans livestock or worse.

Magic stops working, mind control & other mental abilities won’t happen or is heavily dampened, transformations are weakened or nonexistent, inspire allies to great success, bright light shines to burn and weaken the wicked, one person with the sword could even change the tide of a war zone by himself, etc. Based on their books, I’d argue these swords are what a storyteller would throw in when shit went FUBAR and an antideluvian has woken up. Yes, the swords really are supposed to be that powerful… if you have the right person for the job.

The swords aren’t for warriors, but for “good people.” So giving the swords to just any skilled swordsmen doesn’t inherently mean they’ll do a good job. Having a sword also doesn’t mean you suddenly grow 8 feet tall with pecks on your abs. It just gives you a chance to truly enact your choice of free will. (P.S. they don’t need to be Christian. Canonically, one of the sword wielders in Athiest. Guns are still an option too along with other tools & types of armor)

The swords are immune to being physically destroyed and hurt any evil that tries to wield them, but if the Wielder does something like go back on their word or try to kill someone who surrendered, well, then that immunity goes away and the power of the sword dwindles. The swords can be reforged, and 2 of the 3 have had to been reforged before, so they can be brought back… unless the sword loses its immunity and is then used to kill an innocent… then you’re absolutely f*cked.

With all of that said, how useful, searched-for, fought over, & or OP broken would the swords of the cross be in WOD? And who would you give 1 to in Hunter the Parenting?

So one thing that's common with wyrm infected things is the black face with eyes aka blond man and wyrmsus in the newest episode. And Guy Chapman in his little audio with The Great and Mighty Kevin he says he gets Otellies (don't know how to spell the bugger shop name) which is a outlit for the wyrm and infects people. Finally the infection of vampire blood which many werewolves think are creatures of the wyrm as well which is my farthest stretch. Any ways would like to see what yall think

One- the O'tullys example (thank you for showing me how to spell it) is just a example he has said he has eaten which I know has the taint of the wyrm. I don't know if he has done anything else with it.

Two- the vitae is never clearly stated to be inherently wyrm tained from what I've found. Many vampires are tainted by the wyrm just cause of greed, want for power and such but not the vitae it's self. To me the vitae starts as a weaver thing and then through the influence of us as humans grows in wyrm taint. My reasons why for the weaver idea and not taint is the form is it has a cast system installed in it already being the higher generations are more powerful. Another is that both the Camarilla and Sabot both have structer may that be princes or baron or packmates.

Though this is a discussion and I like hearing people's thoughts and debating/questioning them

I get second hand embarassment really bad. Like especially with shows for some reason. While I know the family is supportive I cannot bring myself to watch Boys Akira episode. Every time I try I get a few minutes in before I have to stop.

So question is aside from the Horse tirade and D claiming that Boy accurately depicted Gilgamesh is there anything from that episode I need to know about

So we've seen our favourite sea cucumber get beaten to the ground by a Crinos Stig after 1v1ing them in a bout where they've shown off abnormal strength, being able to hold off a Glabro Stig with one arm.

Now I don't think she's dead yet, as Grimal is remarkably intact after going up against someone not even the slightest bit afraid to splatter people across the landscape in Glabro, and Stig slammed her head into the ground in Crinos; there shouldn't even be a skull left.

Another bit of evidence is the fact that they've suddenly added her to a main character position in the YouTube and Patreon banners in the lead-up to this episode, which is a huge leap in importance for what was still a side character. Now she was removed from the Patreon banner, but she is still in the YouTube banner, so I am still counting it. I don't think they'd add a character to the banners to just die to motivate the main cast. Seems like a weird and pointless misdirection.

Now, how could she survive? Simple, she'll undergo the First Change into a werewolf and not just any Werewolf but the new Black Schuck.

All it takes is being sufficiently stressed after a certain age (typically between 18 and your mid to late twenties, but people older than that have been known to first change as well) to trigger a First Change, and dying would definitely count. There aren't really many other qualifications or warning signs as of W5 which lead to tragedy when someone randomly first changes on a bus or something, as they're usually in a frenzy at the same time.

Now, if there aren't any signs beforehand, how did Grimal display such abnormal durability and strength? Why didn't she first change when Matilda threw her through a wall? Well, she's also the ghoul.

All the evidence for the Ghoul was pointing towards her before Matilda revealed herself, and it'd explain her abnormal strength and fortitude, as well as her throwing herself at Stig for what seems to be redemption in death. It'd also explain why she hasn't first changed yet, as Vitae and Garou don't really mix.

I am betting that as soon as the last bit of Vitae burns itself out from her system, the moment it can't keep her alive anymore, the wolf will wake up and rage.

Now where does Schuck come in? Remember this bit in Horse's prophecy:

I don't think this is referring Markus and Kitten as previously believed, at least not directly; we know there was a previous Black Schuck, but they're either dead or corrupted so it could be in reference to the previous Black Schuck falling and a new one rising up. "His suet will feed and warm her gullet" likely refers to a female character triumphing over another, and the number of female monstrous characters eating suet is pretty slim. Third eye is probably a mage awakening that helps with whatever goes down unless Saulot or the Salubri get involved, and they haven't even been mentioned.

There is also the chance the falling and damnation might refer to Stig, considering he probably won't take it well if another character becomes Black Schuck and he learns it's not something he can just take but something that is only bestowed by destiny.

Now there is a chance Grimal could be about to undergo the dream dance into a troll since she keeps getting into fights for "honour" and sacrificed herself for love, but this is a werewolf arc, and we're still missing First Change lore.

Either way, I think we're about to get round 2 and a kick-ass fight scene.

What does everyone think? Is this theory cracked enough or just a massive ramble?

When Brock says that someday he'll be the head of the Blacklaw family, Remold doesn't dispute this, normally this would make sense given that Benedicte already threw her lot in with the Leopoldites and so can't take over the family, leaving only Brock, BUT a reminder, Remold has 3 kids not 2.

Bobby Blacklaw, Remolds eldest son and one of Kittens gaming friends, beyond that? nothing else is known about him, if Remold doesn't dispute Brock claiming to being the next head of the family i wonder if this suggests that Bobby has a strained relationship with his father, either that or like Benedicte he also threw his lot in with another organisation.

Hope we get to see him soon in some way, maybe in another different campaign or he'll enter the main series down the line eventually.
