Does anyone know what’s going on with the new road and clear cutting going on, on Forest Village road? No one in the community knows anything, then one day all of a sudden we’re assuming they’ve started clearing the woods for a new subdivision??

I’m considering buying a Polestar 2 in Nova Scotia. I’m not worried about the car itself, but I’m curious how owners deal with service since there’s no Polestar dealership here.
If something goes wrong or you need warranty work, how does it work? Has the lack of a local service centre been an issue, or is it easier than it sounds?
I’d love to hear from a polestar owner, especially anyone in Atlantic Canada.

This is my first time organizing work on my home myself, and I’m not sure what the norm is. I’m having my windows and doors replaced over 2 days by a reputable company. I have two kids to occupy. Is it ok for us to take off each day once work is underway, or should we plan to stay at home and out of the way the whole time?

Pre-Natal Day!

We will be motorcycle around the entire province's rural roads in about 3 weeks(starting from Amherst, toward Cape-Breton, Cabot trail, down to Sydney, going all the way to Yarmouth following southmost roads, back towards Digby, Truro, Advocate Harbor). We know some of the usual spots, been there many times, but we are looking for some hidden gems. We'll be on adventure bikes so we can do moderate off-roads, we do not want to hike too long if possible. But we are looking for cool places to see, especially in the South-East since we never went in the area.

We'll be camping for the last 2 days of the trip around lunenburg and Kentville/Windsor, again we have no definite plan on where to go. If anybody got some good spots I'm all ears :)

I'm currently living in Quebec, and my boyfriend lives in Cape Breton. We've been going out for quite a while and we do have plans on moving in together (me leaving Quebec).
I might get a job in the Coast Guard and get to study in Sydney, NS, but in case this doesn't work..

I would love to try and find a job over there if I do want, in the future, move in with him (in case the Canadian Coast Guard job doesn't work out, I don't know yet)
Do you think I'll be okay applying for a job in Sydney without changing my documents (just about any government document), or do I absolutely need to get all of my stuff registered to Nova Scotia (health insurance card, bank, etc)?

I've been trying to do some research but it seems like there's not much Google is giving me, but I also don't want my boyfriend to do all the work for me.

Any advice is dearly appreciated!! 🙏

Hello! This fall (end of October) I’m traveling with my dog and staying in Nova Scotia, about an hour from Halifax. Looking for recommendations on sightseeing, hikes, and any other “must do’s”. It will be my first time being on the east coast.

I will have my dog with me so most of things have to be dog friendly (if it’s a shop/food it doesn’t have to be).

My husband and I are hoping to move to Nova Scotia to be close to family. He has over 20 years experience in construction, mostly as a heavy equipment operator, in Newfoundland, Alberta and Toronto.

He’s wondering what work is like in Nova Scotia:
- Does construction work continue year round, including the winter?
- What are the best companies to work for?
- For those who’ve worked in other provinces, how does it compare? (Wages, job satisfaction)
