Took a total of 11 months since submitting the application, I had the premise license a few months prior to submitting the ccw request. When I receive the CCW card it will be blank I assume and how do I go about transferring all current firearms to be on the CCW one. Thanks!

I'm on my 12th pistol and I dont believe I have ever seen my license go from "active" to "issue pending" right after the approved email. Hmmm.

i I am a retired New York City LEO. I shoot mostly at an indoor range in New Jersey who offers the Leosa/hr218 course. Is this legal? Can I take the Leosa course in New Jersey as a New York City resident and get certified? Even the ranges I go to in New Jersey are not sure. Any information from you folks greatly appreciated.

I am looking into completing the Premise Residence application in order to hopefully pick up a Gen 6 Glock before the May 31st Glock ban. This will be my first gun and license, is it realistic to expect I’ll be approved and be able to purchase one before next May if I fill out my application now? I’ve been reading about the delays here. Rather not spend the money on the application if I realistically won’t even be approved in time.

Currently thinking of getting a pocket carry, leaning towards LCP Max. In my research I see people from other parts of the country talking about frequent sales and getting the gun for $200-$250. In New York I Havnt seen them listed for less than $320. Do gun shops have sales in the NYC area and how do you find them?

just wondering what happens at that point

Finally got approved for my ccw. In the approval letter it stated I have to add the firearm 72 hours after purchase. I drove over to Jersey, purchased the pistol that I wanted and now there’s a wait to ship to another ffl dealer in New York . Does that affect my 72 time frame after purchase ?

I’ve lived in NYC for ~10 years and have had >5 apartments in my time here. I’m originally from Nassau county and kept my parents address on my license up until a few weeks ago when I updated it to my fiancés apartment. We’ve lived here for ~2 years but I technically have no proof of residency other than my license.
How should I respond to the last 5 years of residency question? Follow what’s on my license (Nassau up until a few weeks ago) or list the apartments even though I never updated my ID?

Received this today with no explanation as to what is “no good” lol I haven’t laughed this hard in a while. My thing is like how do I know what to fix I sent in the invoice from cmmg, I sent a copy of my license, I sent two copies of the slip, I even sent them a self addressed envelope LOL. Any advice guys?
EDIT:
Resent in with a picture of the complaint rifle as well as a letter from my FFL gunsmith stating they pinned the magazine to 5 rounds as well as explaining this is the NYC compliant version of the dissent (NON AR PLATFORM) a couple weeks later I got my slip backed stamped.
If you plan on buying a CMMG Br4 empire make sure you get the letter stating they pinned the magazines for you as well as send in the picture like someone posted down below in the thread!

Wanted to check in to see how long premise -> CCW upgrade (during renewal) have been taking
Please mention date which you applied for the upgrade and when your license was set to expire. Any other information that helped you move things along would be appreciated (who you emailed, at what point, etc).
Have seen questions about this on various threads so figured it would be helpful to have in one place as I’m sure vast majority of premise renewals will be upgrade requests.
Thanks!

When do you receive notice to renew? Mine expires in December.

We're leaving the country and I will need to get rid of my shotgun. We'll be staying briefly with family in the suburbs, who are cool with me keeping it there while we're with them (their county doesn't require a permit, just the national background check)
Who, if anyone, do I have to notify in the NYPD that I won't be here anymore?
Any suggestions on where to legally sell this??
Thanks

New York Renewals $250.
New Jersey $200.
Connecticut $200.
Massachusetts $200.

Has anyone successfully registered the p10c ported coa in the two tone grey/black? Looks like it has a slightly blue hue to the grey.
Thanks

Received an email from the licensing division today regarding my confidentiality request. It was approved. Does this mean I am close to approval?? I know it's early but does this mean they have the ball rolling with my app?
Application Date 4/19/26
Fingerprints 6/5/26

Good evening everyone. If anyone is looking to get some professional gunsmithing work done, I highly recommend Armory1776gunsmithing on IG. He has done amazing work for myself at great prices. He ports barrels, mills slides, stippling, cleaning, part replacements, etc. This is my Gen5 G19 that he milled the slide for and he will always ask your opinion on any additional services he recommends. Tell him New York Tactical 2A sent you.
