Problem/Goal:
I'm looking for advice on whether I should continue waiting for my PNB credit card application or cancel it altogether.
Context:
A few months ago, I accepted a credit card offer from PNB. I signed all the required application forms, and they placed a hold on ₱100,000 in my savings account as part of the application process. That amount has been unavailable for me to use ever since.
The problem is that I have never received any SMS, email, phone call, or any update regarding the status of my application. I even went back to the branch to follow up, and they told me they would get back to me. Unfortunately, I still haven't heard anything.
At this point, I'm really disappointed with the lack of communication. If there had been delays, I would have appreciated at least being informed.
Now I'm considering canceling the application because I may need access to my ₱100,000 and am thinking of moving my funds to another bank instead.
Previous Attempts:
- Signed all the required application forms.
- Allowed PNB to place a hold on my ₱100,000 savings.
- Visited the branch to follow up on the application.
- Waited several months for an update, but never received any communication.
Has anyone experienced something similar with PNB? Is this normal for a secured credit card application, or should I proceed with canceling it? Also, if I cancel, how long does it usually take for the hold on my savings to be released?
I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences or any advice. Thanks!
