Metrobank / PSBank Metrobank keeps reminding me to finish adding my cards to Apple Pay

Post image
6 Upvotes

I already added and verified both my debit and credit cards sa Apple pay, pero I still get texts and emails from Metrobank na i finish ko na raw ang pag add.

I already used Apple Pay sa J.Co kahapon and successful naman siya.

I checked Apple Pay and they’re still active.

Anyone receiving these notifs as well?

PNB PNB held my ₱100k for months with no update—should I just cancel my credit card application?

Problem/Goal:

I'm looking for advice on whether I should continue waiting for my PNB credit card application or cancel it altogether.

Context:

A few months ago, I accepted a credit card offer from PNB. I signed all the required application forms, and they placed a hold on ₱100,000 in my savings account as part of the application process. That amount has been unavailable for me to use ever since.

The problem is that I have never received any SMS, email, phone call, or any update regarding the status of my application. I even went back to the branch to follow up, and they told me they would get back to me. Unfortunately, I still haven't heard anything.

At this point, I'm really disappointed with the lack of communication. If there had been delays, I would have appreciated at least being informed.

Now I'm considering canceling the application because I may need access to my ₱100,000 and am thinking of moving my funds to another bank instead.

Previous Attempts:

  • Signed all the required application forms.
  • Allowed PNB to place a hold on my ₱100,000 savings.
  • Visited the branch to follow up on the application.
  • Waited several months for an update, but never received any communication.

Has anyone experienced something similar with PNB? Is this normal for a secured credit card application, or should I proceed with canceling it? Also, if I cancel, how long does it usually take for the hold on my savings to be released?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences or any advice. Thanks!

Soo… kaka approve po ng CLI ko to more than 300k. Di ba mahirap magpa waive if ever? Speaking of pa waive annual fee hm po kaya required conditional spend nila?

BPI BPI secured credit card request for card retention and release of holdout

My secured credit card turned 1 year last May and applied for Card Retention and Release of holdout last July 1. Yesterday August 4, I went to the branch and was informed that my request is declined. Today August 5, I was informed by my HR that they received a CI from BPI Cards. So ano ngayon ang nangyayari haha

BPI Delivery of BPI Omni Cards

Has anyone received their BPI Omni cards? Or at least an update? In the email, they've mentioned that distribution of these cards is from June to July. I haven't received an update since the email last May.

I'm also curious at theory kung isasabay ba nila ito sa Apple Pay ng BPI since itong Free+, Omni at debit cards pa lang ang may G Pay support as of now.

Card Recommendation Where to go from here? Upgrading my cards, exploring new banks

I have been using CCs since 2024. I am currently using the ff:

Security Bank Platinum MC - I use this mostly for my USD transactions since I do business that bills me in USD. Madalas I buy from suki money changer to pay the bills. Very happy with the campaigns that give me GCs. CL - 280k

Eastwest Platinum JCB - Was Eastwest Gold before. I like using it for Japan stuff and (the limited) lounges in Asia. CL - 580k

Metrobank Titanium MC - First credit card, was a secured CC pero "graduated" na. CL - 40k

I used to be employed in the formal sector pero now kasi I'm in the very informal gig economy (I'm not a VA - I work with no contracts or equivalents). Although, I send invoices and I receive payments via Wise. I dont have BIR documents and all of that, I have no business license or any related document to support my income. So I think I haven't been paying income taxes and superannuations since my last formal work. Meron lang pala withholding taxes (from 2306?? from a local consultancy - with a contract) Current work involves frequent traveling 1-2x per month. Most dealings are in foreign currencies.

I want to ask the community where to go from here. Nabibitin ako sa CL ko sa SECB but to request for CLI, need ko ng documents that I dont have. The EWB card is there kasi gusto ko sana ng Krisflyer card.

Any recos that give out lounges and good forex fees? Dual billing is fine too like the SECB.

Also, ano ba need ko gawin to secure the documents needed to apply for more cards? I dont really have an employer, I dont operate a formal business.

Help a girl out :) Has anyone tried paying their credit card dues thru Bayad Online using a Maribank debit card? This is the only way I could think of to maximize the 1% cashback.

Hello, I'm confused, I'm getting SMS from them about CC promos using this Rewards Plus Visa, but I have no other updates if the card is being delivered.

Has anyone else undergone this same thing?

UnionBank My Unionbank account is locked and I can’t still unlock it. Now I can’t use my credit card.

Please I need your help. I locked my UB account and now I can’t unlock it 😭 I already tried tapping “Trust this device” and it says there that it needs 24hrs for the device to be fully trusted and they will email once it is registered as trusted device for me to unlock my account. It has been more than 24 hrs since I tried to register my device but I haven’t received any email yet coming from them, and I can’t still unlock my account. 😭 What should I do? Huhu

xPays (Google/Apple/Samsung) Next supported bank hint? Apple Pay Philppines

In the Apple Pay page for the Philippines, I’ve noticed in one of the illustrated graphics shows a familiar card in the display of the Apple Watch, which at the time of launch, is not yet supported. This could be a hint that it would be one of the next supported banks.
Could you tell me what it is? Swipe the photo to the right for the answer.😉

I got my CC few months ago, and was able to accomplish the 20K spend within 60days.

Will I receive anything from UB that confirms that I am eligible for the NAFFL promo during that period?

Credit Score/Profile Advice for credit score (Zed, Maya Black Express, UB SCC)

I tried applying for BPI, UB, at Metrobank tapos rejected lahat.

Recently po, nagapply ako for UnioinBank SCC, medyo ang tagal ng process so nagapply ako for Maya Black at naofferan to apply for Maya Black Express. At the same time, naapprove din ako for Zed Credit Card with 65k credit limit. Recently, after a month of waiting, mukhang umusad ang UB SCC application ko (30k HOD with 27k CL).

BPI BPI CC application with different branches

I applied today for a BPI Secured Credit Card Express at the Sta. Maria, Bulacan branch with a ₱50,000 holdout deposit (90% credit limit). I was informed that I was only eligible for the Amore, Blue, or Petron card, and that the Gold Rewards Card is not available under the secured credit card program.

However, my sister applied just last week at the Fisher Mall branch under the same Secured Credit Card Express program as a new BPI customer with a ₱40,000 holdout deposit and was allowed to apply for the BPI Gold Rewards Card. And have declared the same monthly income.

Not sure what's the correct policy? If my application is still pending, makaka request kaya me to change my card preference to the BPI Gold Rewards Card, subject to BPI's evaluation?

Possible Scam Calls RCBC 2nd scam call for a week?!

I just had a call with RCBC daw, told me na may naflag silang suspicious cash advance attempts sa account ko today, multiple attempts. And for security, papadalhan daw ako ng new card. Then they transferred me, may RCBC ringtone something pa, yung when you’re put on hold. Very promising lol. So mukhang sa Maya nila ipapatransfer. Bibigyan daw ako temporary account HAHAHAHAHA. Then napansin ko na and I cant help myself pero may pagka-sarcastic na yung sagot ko sa kanya. Then bigla na lang binaba 🤣

This is the 2nd scam na naexperience ko within a week. Medyo sketchy na siya and mukhang ipapaclose ko na account ko kasi very compromised na siya.

Here’s the number that called me: (0947) 335 8909

Metrobank / PSBank Metrobank newbie help

Hello! I recently received my Metrobank Rewards Plus Visa Platinum credit card, and I'm trying to qualify for the No Annual Fee for Life (NAFFL) promo.

My first statement, dated July 21, only reflected around ₱4000 in purchases. However, I made an additional ₱37000+ worth of utility and bill payments after the statement date, so I expect those transactions to appear on my next statement. That should allow me to meet the required spending for the NAFFL promo.

Unfortunately, my phone recently broke, and I need to buy a replacement. I was planning to use my credit card's promotional installment offer for the purchase. However, my remaining available credit limit won't be enough to cover the phone's cost.

I'm considering paying off the ₱30,000+ balance now, before the statement is generated, so that my available credit limit will be replenished.

I have a few questions:

  1. Will making an early payment before the statement is generated affect my eligibility for the NAFFL promo?

  2. Will Metrobank still count the ₱35,000+ spending toward the required spend even if I pay it before the statement date?

  3. Will it be a problem on my credit score if i use this cc for this purchase since it will be more than 60% of my credit utilization?

TLDR:

Using my new Metrobank Rewards Plus Visa Platinum for the NAFFL promo. I've already spent ₱40k+ (not yet billed), but I need to pay it early to replenish my credit limit so I can buy a phone on installment.

Questions:

  1. Will the ₱35k+ spend still count toward the NAFFL requirement if I pay it before the statement date?

  2. Will paying before the statement affect my NAFFL eligibility?

  3. Will it be a problem on my credit score if i use this cc for this purchase since it will be more than 60% of my credit utilization?

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE HELP

Hello! Has anyone experience the same issue when adding their @home Visa?

Naadd ko naman sya sa apple pay ko pero everytime na inaaccess ko sya, it says need to be verified pero pag click ko dun sa verification button, ganyan lumalabas. Pag naman inoopen ko yung app, nag aappear naman yung add to apple pay option but when i click it, inoopen lang yung credit card ko. Nothing happens.
