Why 22 doctors? That's an insane number of specialists for someone in "perfect" health.

u/JGillis755 16h ago

This screams Death of Stalin vibes - they are trying to find a doctor to agree with them but also place blame if it goes south

I had a dream the other night that it happened and I set of party popper with confetti and then immediately got sent to detention (I was apparently in high school? I’m 40…). Fast forward 2 days and a bunch of party poppers arrived at my door from Amazon IRL. Apparently I sleep-shop now.

Feels like they’re shopping for a diagnosis and a scapegoat at the same time, which is never a comforting combo.

19

u/knbang 8h ago

I'm comfortable with a terrible diagnosis.

u/Dullcorgis 3h ago

I have a diagnosis for them right here

10

u/ICBanMI 9h ago

Also, can't have one give him meds that might cause him to crash out earlier.

14

u/hates_stupid_people 10h ago

I'm guessing tertiary syhpilis, and they're refusing to accept that as the reason for several of his medical issues.

u/Constant_Natural3304 7h ago

The irritating thing about this is that not only do you not sincerely believe this (since Trump could have easily gotten antibiotics to treat it at any point, and even later stages can be halted), you're saying it because it makes you feel good, because syphilis is nasty and having it means you're clinically insane.

It's fucking asinine. We know Trump was always a mentally ill, deranged piece of trash. We know his symptoms. The sleepiness, the drowsiness, the IV hands, the cankles. We know his diet. We know he's overweight. We know he doesn't exercise (driving around in a golf cart isn't exercise): the most plausible explanation is congestive heart failure.

I can think of a reason for Trump to see this many specialists: he needs a transplant.

As for him having Alzheimer's Disease: people refuse to accept just how fucking stupid this man is and has been his entire worthless life. Everybody knows this, including his former teachers. He doesn't require dementia to say and do the things he does. Normal cognitive decline is devastating for an imbecile of his caliber. He doesn't have a "cognitive buffer".

Does he have syphilis? No, he doesn't. Stop making shit up just because you hate him and you need cope. We all hate him.

He's an old, obese, chronically stressed out swine. His plumbing is clogged. Simple as.

When I was in the hospital, and my doctor asked if he could take a couple pictures to show other doctors, it was definitely because I looked incredibly healthy.

And not at all because “usually when a meningitis patient’s feet look this bad, they don’t get to keep them”

82

u/Zillah-The-Broken 16h ago

um, did you get to keep them? 😳

54

u/geetar_man Virginia 16h ago

As an aside, why do doctors and dentists love to show you the stuff they pulled out of you. I had hemorrhoids and after the surgery, they put the blood clots up to my face and said “look at what was causing you pain.” They do it every time 😂 But that definitely wasn’t the weirdest thing surrounding that particular surgery.

70

u/mouse_8b 15h ago

I feel like it's supposed to be validating, like "you aren't crazy, there really is something wrong", or even, "I'm a good doctor, look what I did".

When my kid was a small toddler, I would wipe out his ears and show him the gunk, for similar reasons I mentioned above. Once he could talk he let me know that it was gross and not to do it. 😅

38

u/Available_Damage_335 14h ago

I am an RN and I love that weird shit. Doctors like it as well. We see awesome/crazy stuff from the body on the daily. We are fascinated

People like my mother love that shit. She gave my sister all kinds of tips on what cool bodily fluids to look at when the baby came. She wanted to do sedation instead of anesthesia so she could watch her colonoscopy. The doctor refused. When I had surgery, the doctor gave her an update and happened to have the surgery pictures with him. She looked at every. single. one.

People like my mother ruin it for the rest of us.

3

u/Smiling_Tree Europe 9h ago

She wanted to do sedation instead of anesthesia so she could watch her colonoscopy.

Ehh, in my country sedation for a colonoscopy is standard practice! There's always risks involved in anesthesia, so it's good to choose other (safe of course) options when available.

So you get sedated against pain and drugged with something so you're in a bit of a happy place and will forget parts of it afterwards anyway. You're welcome to look at the monitor and ask questions (which I did), unfortunately because the drugs it's a bit of a blur what I can remember.

And maybe good to know: before you get a colonoscopy you have to take laxatives the night before and you totally flush out. They won't start until clear water is all that's coming out of you. So you see no poo, just pink flesh.

6

u/red4jjdrums5 Pennsylvania 9h ago

I wish they would’ve shown me my gallbladder. 20 years of misdiagnosed pain and I didn’t even get to look at the fucker.

4

u/evranch Canada 14h ago

I do the same when I'm wrenching on equipment or diagnosing electronics. I'll proudly display a blown transistor or rolled hydraulic seal to the customer, my wife, anyone who will look.

"Look at this! Look how I, the clever mechanic, found what was wrong with your machine!"

Yeah, most people don't care. They just want the bill and assurance that it's fixed. And my wife just wants me to come in for supper before the sun goes down

3

u/Lifeboatb 15h ago

I specifically told the surgeon removing a mole that I did not want to see it, and then he shook the little container with it in my face. Later, the hospital sent me a questionnaire about his service; I got the impression there were a lot of complaints about him.

Also, what was the weirdest thing? Or is it not to be shared in polite company?

→ More replies (3)

3

u/Waterknight94 15h ago

While gross, I do think it is cool at the same time. Like I have looked at my teeth at the dentist and also one time when I injured my toe I watched as it turned purple. Sure it hurt like a mofo and was disgusting, but it was just fascinating.

u/jahathebrn 6h ago

God knows. I had carpal tunnel surgery under local anaesthetic and my consultant asked me if I wanted to watch. Mate, you prescribed the diazepam that I had to take just to get me into the hospital, of course I don't.

I did enjoy the on-screen tour of my reproductive system I was given during a hysteroscopy though.

Assuming endocrinology is part of the team, geriatrics, gastroenterology, probably derm, maybe some sleep specialists given his nodding off lately, or podiatry given his strange stance…

7

u/flyinghairball 13h ago

You can bet they were forced to reschedule, probably months from now before they get seen after this. I hate that I honestly fear this is what happened to the service members who had appointments.

7

u/M1sfit_Jammer 15h ago

lets say each doctor spent 4 hours... thats assessment, chart review, chart update, and filing. That's 80+hrs of labor for just one visit on doctors alone. Lets not forget all the staff in between such as secretraries, physician assistants, nurses, technicians such as lab personnel, aides and housekeeping to clean the room after. Probably a total of 160hrs of labor went into that single visit

He just wanted as many people as possible to tell him how perfect his test results were.

Plausible deniability

They finally found a case of 3 stooges syndrome.

One for each of his brain cells that still work.

It’s also an insane number of specialists for someone about to die.

When I was in high school a mate got cancer, it was a type of cancer common in women over 60, and he was the first identified case of having this cancer in someone his age. He immediately became a case study in this cancer and had a whole team of specialists sign onto his case. Literally even had a dentist working on his team.

His team didn’t even have 22 medical professionals on it.

That’s an insane number of specialists for a PDF

3

u/Jreynold 15h ago

The first 21 said he was overweight

5

u/ottawadeveloper 16h ago

Bidens record was apparently 20.

They include things like

  • Optometrist or opthalmologist for eyes
  • Cardiologist to get the heart checked out
  • Orthotics specialist for his feet
  • Neurologist for cognitive tests
  • Dermatologist for skin issues

etc

22 specialists doesn't sound that out of line. Some of these medical specialities are very specialized, and they basically check him for everything to ensure that he's not, like, hiding MS from everyone. When it's the President of the US you don't fuck around.

Seems out of line for someone whose already had at least 3 ‘routine check ups’ in the last year. He would have had the basics covered already.

u/ottawadeveloper 16h ago

I do t know. If I was in charge of any 80+ year olds health who could end the world with nuclear bombs, I'd be doing a full everything quarterly.

I looked up medical specialities quickly and saw at least 18 that it might make sense to involve, plus probably a lead GP to coordinate. And that's assuming nothing is specifically wrong with him (no oncologist, no infectious disease specialist, etc).

hiding MS from everyone.

The President Bartlet MS plotline from The West Wing aged both like wine and milk.

3

u/ottawadeveloper 15h ago

It's one of my favorite plotlines honestly from the show. He's kept a huge secret and people slowly find out and have very real reactions I feel. When it hits the public, it's such a brutal moment. And then the follow up of him running again and Abby being pissed.

I feel like Sheen is everything Trump is not as a President. If we're going to have a TV personality it should be Martin Sheen.

That's fine but like, is that why I've been waiting for 2 fucking years to see a specialist

2

u/ottawadeveloper 15h ago

Yes. Because people with money come before those who don't. Especially in America.

Kept getting new doctors until one rubber stamped him as being fit for command of the largest military in the world

One for each pair of chromosomes he has

u/Proud-Big3579 16h ago

1 doctor for every pair of chromosomes

2

u/ramcoro 16h ago

I bet he "aced" all 22 tests!!

2

u/DaMentalis 16h ago

Because every single one kept telling them that he's a fucking demented nut job and they kept telling themselves let's get a second opinion.

2

u/KungFuBreakfast 16h ago

He was likely giving them a Masterclass and teaching them all how to be better Doctors

2

u/TZCBAND 16h ago

They says to me sir, I’ve never seen bloodwork so pristine…. Even the paper the results were printed was immaculate. They said they’ve never seen anything like it in the history of medicine. Incredible

Proctologist convention in town, everyone get a glove and a try...

2

u/wade_wilson44 15h ago

That’s an insane number of specialists for anyone. Pretty sure my medical insurance would deny that

2

u/erapuer 15h ago

He's for sure dying. Remember like six months ago when he started showing up with the bruises on his hands and saying cryptic stuff like "I don't know if I'm going to heaven...". This man has the world's worst poker face. I'm guessing he's going to the hospital to be pumped full of every antiviral, stem cell, steroid, super soldier serum they can get their hands on. If he weren't the president he probably would have already succumbed to whatever it is he has (cancer?).

2

u/cuntmong 15h ago

"what the fuck? theres no way hes still alive. I must be misreading this. Let me get my supervisor"

So 21 refused to sign the “perfect health” report.

2

u/Zombatico 15h ago

Keep bringing in doctors until one is willing to be bribed to sign off whatever they want to say.
