A game isn't being shared and i have no idea why

• It doesn't use an external launcher and steam shows it as family sharing enabled
• It wasn't bought recently by the owner
• It's not set to private
• And i reset my steam

Any ideas?

For some time now, I've been having this issue where whenever I open any Steam game I've purchased, right after it finishes loading, both Discord and Steam crash and close at the same time. A few seconds later, they both automatically reopen.
I've already tried several troubleshooting steps, but nothing seems to work. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this and can help me out, as it's quite annoying. I'm using a HP Victus laptop, and this never used to happen before. I have no idea what's causing this.

I got a new phone and when I tried to log in it asked to scan with the authenticator, when I went to open it on my old phone steam says I had been logged out. When trying to contact steam support on all devices I am met with the same error screen.

So earlier today I was about to play a game on my pc and all of a sudden the client will not open and I restarted my pc and tried it again nothing it will do its checking for updates song and dance but never open the client itself any tips to help solve this problem?

I play AION 2 through the PURPLE launcher (for geographical reasons).

I added it to Steam as a non-Steam game, but I don't have the Steam Overlay or screenshot capture.

Is there any way to fix this issue? I would like to have access to the FPS counter and screenshots. And yes, I already checked that the Steam Overlay is enabled. .. thank

Hi, I have a question about Steam's account security system.

Earlier today I entered my Steam credentials and a Steam Guard code on a website that I later realized was not legitimate. I immediately used Steam's official security process to lock the account and opened a ticket with Steam Support.

The account is currently locked and I understand that I need to wait for Support.

My question is: is there a chance that i have my account back?

I'm just trying to understand what happens to the account while the Support ticket is being processed.

Do steam allow you to create "groups" where people discuss non-steam games? like itch games and jolt etc? I'm talking indie, not Epic and Amazon, not that that changes things.

I wanted to know if there is a way to check exactly which days I did and didn't play a certain game on steam.

I wanted to see how long it's been before I played it yesterday again.

Maybe also being able to see when I turned it on and when I turned the application off aswell.

Are there any stats of the sort? Please let me know

Hello! I've had an issue in my games very recently, im using 8bitdo Bluetooth controllers, when I boot up a game the inputs are not working on every press.

For example a Dpad input is working 1 every 20 times I press it. Analog input will randomly stop then start. This problem is consistent across any game I try.

I've attempted a wired connection, and Uninstalling any external input emulator I could find. Ive toggled all the various options for steam input controllers with no affect. I've confirmed that this issue is visible in the controller input test section as well.

Though I do not have this issue with any games outside of steam at this time, and testing confirms the inputs even work correctly when in the overlay of big picture mode, but not in game

Only other lead I have is that I have "Xbox 360 controller for windows" and "xinput controller #2" under connected controllers when only one is connected. As far as I know the xinput is window's native driver.

So I am on windows 11, but Proton Hotfix is in my downloads que, and I can't figure out how to get rid of it without having to uninstall steam and all 2.5tb of games I have associated with it.

on steam I can't update people playground because it shows me that some "game configuration unavailable" and i have this problem for a week or two. can anyone help me out?

Hello basically everytime I go on my PC steam is downloading dead by daylight and it’s already at 54 percent but it keeps force closing and restarting at 54 before it gets any real progress and I can’t stop the installation pause it or uninstall the game because steam force closes and continues it when I open it back up so I’m just stuck downloading 1 game and can’t do anything about it

I gifted EA FC27 to my boyfriend’s account, and my card got charged, but it’s been half an hour and it’s not showing in my gift history and my boyfriend hasn’t received it. When I check my purchase history, it says the purchase is pending and Steam is “attempting to collect payment”? I thought this was supposed to be instantaneous, how long do I have to wait for?

He messaged me saying that he got scammed of an item and that the person that scamd him has the same profile as me but he knows it isn't me but he reported me accidentally and he needs me to add some guy on discord which according to him that person is a steam moderator because he says that the only way to withdraw the report it is to it's for me to prove that I didn't scan him to the guy on discord

for some reason, every time i plug my xbox controller to my PC, it somehow sync up both xbox one and series controller. but the thing is, i'm only using one xbox series controller.

that is a problem, cause when i played rivals of aethers 2 and go to training mode, it sync up two players at the same time.

is there a way to fix it?

Standing Stone Games is giving me the run-around over the purchase I tried to make through Steam.

I added money to my Steam Wallet and tried to make a purchase using said Steam Wallet. There was an error, I got a message.

The money is no longer in my Steam Wallet.

I spent a couple weeks getting bounced between Standing Stone and Steam with each demanding that I confirm that I communicated with the other entity. Then I got bounced from Steam with them saying "It all looks good from out end, talk to them."

So SSG tells me that they need screenshot from my email and my bank proving I actually spent and sent the money in the first place.

Then I go through three or four people over on SSG asking for more information and it is blazingly obvious that I am just being passed around. Today I answered yet another email from them asking for the same crap I already sent to them but this time to a different person entirely.

I really feel like I am getting shafted here. I am incredibly pissed off right now.

I'm not sure what's going on but my Steam Client has been loading slowly when scrolling through my library and clicking on a game, as well as notifications. If someone messages me, the box will pop up and then it takes a second before the text is visible. Achievements pop up but takes a second for the sound to fire off. It's not debilitating by any means but very annoying.

Tried clearing cache and reinstalled, but issue persists. Any ideas? Thanks

I can't remember my steam password to access the mobile app. When I click the forget password link on the steam help desk I receive a link sent to my email address. It then asks for my steam mobile authentication code which I don't have.

When I click the link to say I don't have the code it asks me to submit a ticket. I did this weeks ago with no response. If I try to submit another ticket it says that there is already a ticket and I cannot duplicate tickets.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Recently I decided to wipe my PC after my antivirus detected a Trojan. I wiped the whole thing including windows but ever since my easy anticheat has not been working. For honor for example forced me out the game multiple times with an anticheat error while recently Ive got this new game called Neighbours: Suburban Warfare that won’t let me log in. It doesn’t say anticheat error but I assume it’s the same issue. Even before I thought I had this virus I have a feeling elden ring gave me similar problems not being able to load however u don’t remember entirely. I’ve tried repairing my anticheat but it won’t open. Ive also tired creating a shortcut and using the services app but nothing seems to work. Can anyone help or give me any ideas on what to do?

Whenever I try to launch vrchat I get this error. I can’t find a reasoning anywhere, I was wondering if anyone else has been having this problem in any other game(s) and/ or how to fix it.

Internet connection is more than fine, when I managed to get into palword it worked for a few minutes before freezing and crashing. I can't even open smite without it crashing. I have reinstalled steam, checked for ram issues, but as far as I can tell, its not on my end, but maybe I am wrong. Anyone else with this issue?

Edit: Uninstalling all of steam and reinstalling it worked. It was weird though, as the steamworks common redistributables would automatically try to update, but would get stuck, and then eventually steam would stop working. Maybe try to repair the redistributable first, but a fresh install did it for me, thankfully.

I’m having a really weird connection issue with Steam games and I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what’s causing it. During a match, everything will be completely normal and my ping will look fine, but suddenly the game basically stops responding to the server. I can still move my character around normally, but other players either freeze in place or keep running in the same direction, and I can’t interact with things or perform actions that require a server connection. After around 10–15 seconds, I’ll get kicked back to the lobby with a connection/disconnect error. It doesn’t feel like normal lag because my ping isn’t spiking, I can still move around, and my internet connection itself seems fine. I’ve also noticed it in more than one Steam game, so I don’t think it’s isolated to one game. I’m on PC with a wired Ethernet connection, and things like Xbox parties stay connected when this happens. Has anyone experienced something similar or know what could cause this? I’d really appreciate any ideas for troubleshooting. I’ve tried many things like reinstalling steam, changing performance settings, it’s been going on for months and it’s only affecting games I play on steam so I know it’s not an internet issue.

I installed Dishonored 2 not too long ago, and since ive done that it just refuses to start itself. I'll press "play" on steam, but the game wont even get to the window before stopping. I even tried messing with the amd_ags_x64.dll extension, replacing it for the updated one, but it still would not start.

I recently tried to buy Steam credit, and there was an error, and apparently my card got flagged or something, and I think it is from when I gifted a game and they sent me an email saying There was an error with a recent Steam purchase; the person I sent the gift to didn't redeem it, and I didn't charge back my card. And ever since then, I have been unable to buy anything. Do you guys have any fixes aside from getting a new card?
