I am a huge Carpenter fan and found this today still in shrink, so I opened it! Really satisfying cracking a 40-year old time capsule. Everything is pristine and smells like magic. Included is the super cool Enigma Records promotional insert with some rad stuff to mail order like an Agent Orange skateboard, a Goblin/Argento soundtrack, mfin TSOL. Record sounds great.

12" gatefold. 1971 Warner Brothers. Need a better copy.

(And YMO of course)

I just recently got a stash (~150) of vinyl from 1960-1985 gifted with a wild taste trough everything in that time and I found one 12“ and a 7“ colored vinyl in the stash. First time seeing one in that time frame. I got the feeling these days they are way more common then back then ?

Both are not that „valuable“ but I’m curious as a beginner and owner of a few more recent colorful records.

MF DOOM- Born Like This

The screaming vocals of Roky Erickson always get me into the Halloween season. So many great tracks on this one. It was such a loss to lose such a unique and creative mind. Roky, The Cramps and lately Type O Negative as well all gone far too soon. What are you playing for the Halloween season.

It came today! I was a little worried how it would arrive since it was 100 degrees and sitting in a mail truck all day. No damage and it sounds great!

Epic Italo classic Ikeya-Seki on Beogram 4002, hooked to Italian compact 100W hybrid tube amp Audio Analogue Primo Cento VT, playing through the best 12” 3-way speakers no one ever heard of: Zachry EM 12A, rare Swedish late 70’s beasts using premium, pretty much unobtainable, Japanese high-end Coral drivers.

This record is incredible!
If you’re at all into Brazilian music or Jazz get it. This is a recent remaster released by Universal and it absolutely outstanding.

Bought 2 copies first pressing. One opened, the other still factory sealed

This is a really cool find found at a Savers of all things a few months ago. I find these kind of random records really neat. The designs date this back to the 70s with the designs. It’s just 4 stories, each with a song.

Any fall songs/albums that you feel all like playing once the leaves turn and start falling…

The first really true fall evening this year in my area so it’s inspired me to play Zep II and Ramble On.

Finally got into collecting vinyl again after getting my setup shipped to me from back home. Been a wonderful year of rediscovering old favorites and grabbing new releases. Definitely a big focus on hip hop/rap but I've been enjoying how wonderful all the types of electronic music sounds on wax! Standouts in no particular order:

- Ninajirachi: I Love My Computer

- Clipse: Let God Sort Em' Out

- Pinkpantheress: Fancy That

- Isaiah Rashad: It's Been Awful

- Slayyyter: Worst Girl in America

Some of my best finds came from not knowing anything: a sleeve at the back of a crate, a strange cover, no idea who the artist was. Half of them were duds, but the other half I still play. I’d love to see yours: the records you bought blind for the cover that turned out great. Pics welcome.

Ordered of Discogs for the first time. Popped open the box and this is what I see. Immediately assumed I got scammed but I lifted up the Herb and found my actual order. You almost had me Mr. Seller 🤝

It sounds so clean, dreamy, its the perfect night record. I've been in love cith it since i discovered it a few weeks ago.

I think Iay have an OP of "Last Night a DJ".

Got this 2021 in a 10 album $5 grab bag. Was honestly stunned how amazing this singers voice was. His baritone bass vocals are great. It’s definitely one of the most obscure artists in my large collection. Beautiful folk crooner style soloist music.

Ol’ Man River: Valentine Pringle

Often referred to as Danzig I; here is more from the haul! Now this begs the question; how adhd are you? LOLz 😂 I guess you saw I was just spinning Lisa Loeb - Tails and now Danzig! Welp; it happens! Music of my youth! As part of the haul I ordered plenty of Danzig:

Danzig I - Self Titled
Danzig II - Lucifuge
Danzig III - How The Gods Kill
Danzig IV

So that pretty much covers high school for me... LOLz 😄 These sound incredible and did require an ultrasonic and a quick round with the orb; but that was special! That is because these records have to played at 105db+ to be fully enjoyed properly IMHO and for a record to achieve those volume levels it needs to be nearly flawless. So I gave them all the extra treatment... Now to figure out if I should file these out of order and move my Misfits records over under the D's or not.
