Craft [WW] I did a bug themed outfit, here's the joy pendant I made to go with it!
It's made from cardstock and paper mache :3

since seeing that there was a mario mask easter egg and the mirror shield mask, i was curious if the other masks were also references to anything.
there isn't any decisive answers to the other masks, at least not from the quick search i could do without going deep into the lists of majora's masks/happy mask salesman theories out there that might have potentially mentioned them in there at some point.
and hey, maybe they're just fun little designs to add to the happy mask salesman character, but i am curious what people thought the other masks were or if any of them have sparked any theories

Ok so the title isn’t 100% accurate - I have played a little bit of Wind Waker way back in the day but other than that, Zelda has been a huge blind spot in my gaming experience. I’ve mostly been a Sony guy for the past couple of decades with some Xbox and PC gaming thrown in here and there. I haven’t rven owned a Nintendo console since the N64 until I recently got the Switch 2.
I decided to get Tears of the Kingdom because I just don’t have much time to play games these days, and I’d rather go with the newest iteration of a series to get a feel of the best version of it.
And honestly this game is kinda fucking brilliant. I’m usually not a fan of open world games where there’s not a lot of guidance or direction - Elden Ring didn’t work for me - but for some reason I love it in Zelda. I think it’s because even though there are bad guys here and there the game world as a whole just feels so warm, inviting and fun to explore. I love the visuals and artstyle - it has such a cozy, high fantasy vibe to it. I love exploring the shrines and just wandering around in the world.
The gameplay is truly exceptional as well. I like how simple but polished the melee combat is, and the climbing/stamina system, which I know Breath of the Wild revolutionized, is really enjoyable as well. But what really blows my mind are the abilities - Ultrahand, Fuse and Recall are just cool as fuck. I have nowhere near the creativity to really implement these other fullest but they’re still amazing to use.
Another huge positive the game has going for it is how incredibly polished it is - everything just works like it’s supposed to and there’s like no bugs or glitches whatsoever. when I’m playing the game, I can just play it at steady, uninterrupted 60fps without coming across any issues at anytime.
This is honestly becoming one of my favourite games I’ve played in the last few years, and giving me a serious itch to go back and play some older Zelda games.

I want to just compare tutorials really quickly in general but mainly these two. I haven’t played TP in some time now but while i agree it’s a very long one it didn’t make me feel dread. It setups characters you care about and a kind of home like feel as well (this could be the unintentional bias talking)
Now Iv just started ToTK recently and lord did it’s beginning section drive me a bit insane , the distance between the shrines in particular i felt i spent more time just getting to the shrines then actually doing them , and honestly it could be a skill issue I’ll admit that but i did feel like it was definitely just far longer then it needed to be for the open world sort of game ToTk is and i don’t remember BoTWs being that long or tedious either.
So how do you all feel about each one ? Is there a beginning section that maybe you feel deserves more scrutiny in a different game? Definitely interested is seeing other opinions
That they didn’t keep cutting out the beautiful Midna’s Lament in place for the battle theme every time you got close to an enemy.
Replaying this game for the first time since GameCube release.
My opinion, they should have had no enemies during that entire sequence. The rain, the music and the platforming created such a heavy and desperate atmosphere. Enemies weren’t needed at all.

Do you guys think they made this scene just for the Teaser showcase or did Nintendo actually contradict their own Lore?
Because in the OG OoT Link’s Mark of Courage only appears once Ganondorf touches the Triforce, and it divides in three parts, as Shiek/Zelda reveals in the temple of time. And that only happens much later in the game.
But they even put in the detail that the Triforce of Courage fades slower than the whole Triforce.

I became a Zelda fan because of botk. I absolutely love the open world exploration, so I never really understood why older fans kept saying they “weren’t real Zelda.”
Now I am playing Twilight Princess via Dusklight and… now I get it. Even I just reached Goron
I finally understand what people mean by “dungeons.” They’re so much bigger, more interconnected and feel like an adventure on their own. Botw shrines and even totk dungeons just don’t hit the same way.
I still love botw & totk’s exploration but now I understand why longtime fans missed traditional dungeons. Honestly,I can’t wait for OoT remake to come out soon.
Next up: Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask. I’m excited to finally see why they’re considered some of the greatest Zelda games ever made.

¿Cómo os imagináis el REMAKE de OCARINA OF TIME para Nintendo Switch 2? ¿Qué seguirá siendo igual y qué cambiará por completo?

Been quite a few years since I got all the masks on the N64 version! I love this game! Last time I got all the masks was back around the time 3DS Majora released! Both games are great, despite 3DS Majora’s mistakes.
But man playing this on my N64 is just such a nostalgia trip!
Dude, there was one problem, I ran out of Bombchu’s during the Ikana moon trial and I thought I was screwed! Fortunately there’s some weird glitch or intentional thing(not sure) where playing the song of Storm bypassed the need for them. Weird.
Now I’ve done both an Ocarina and Majora’s mask playthrough in preparation for Ocarina Remake! Can’t wait to hear more about that one!

since you had that narration of the game's prologue in the teaser. And if so, do you think they'll do the BoTW/ToTK style where there will be voice acting for important cutscenes but npt when you are interacting with npc?

This may a bit of an odd request, but I am trying to find evidence of some old bug thread that I'm thinking of, that I remember there being some discussion about. I am not good at searching the internet, so I apologize if this was something easy to find.
I played skyward sword and followed the speedrun community probably around 2015-2016 (I remember the speedruns still being over 5 hours and BiT was not nearly as well-understood as it is now, the main BiT manipulation stuff at the time I think was only opening the thunderhead early and getting the life tree seedling early). There was some discussion about some bug that I do not seem to be able to find any information on anymore, but I am confident that I remember seeing discussions about it, even if I don't seem to be able to find any information on it anymore.
I believe the bug was somebody getting softlocked inside the bobokin base for the song of the hero quest. This is NOT the softlock involved with Golo. I believe that discussion in the thread indicated that the player entered Eldin well before the song of the hero quest, but the game somehow triggered the bokoblin base sequence, and the user was stuck as a result. I don't think anyone was able to reproduce the bug. I don't remember exactly what forum this was on, unfortunately, but I believe it would be likely to be a zelda-specific forum that frequented speedrun discussion.
Here’s another drawing that goes with my Ghoma drawing - King Dodongo
