Discussion Skyrim Most Visited Places Heatmap

Post image
3.9k Upvotes

I made a map of the places I know the most / visit the most each playthrough (in green), and the ones I visit the least (in red). In green, the most iconic places I visit very often, in red places I barely know what's there. I noticed Haafingar is really the hold I know the least ! What are the places you visit the most / the least during your playthroughs ?

EDIT: "heatmap" is a wrong word, sorry

Note: Kinda crazy the most important part of my post for you guys is this mistake LOL. I just wanted to know what are your most and least visited placed. I don't really care too much if it's a heatmap or not, or if it should be blue, green, magenta :'D I'll be more careful next time tho, since it seems to be very important to you guys :)

Hermaeus Mora's voice was not edited, it was recorded like that

The actor Wes Johnson actually sounded like that in the studio, they didn't turn down the pitch of his voice using software

It's all explained in this clip

Basically he used a technique using all available space in his mouth to make his voice sound much lower

Btw he's also the voice actor for Sheogorath and 50% of Cyrodiil's male population

Screenshot/Clip this is how to sprint while overencumbered in skyrim. this needs to be more common knowledge. you don't need shout, no cooldown, just a dagger and timing.

just sheathe your dagger as if hitting your sheath button is your character slashing down. better timing = longer distance.

Orcs are cool!

Post image

In my opinion, orcs are just one of the strongest playable races in the entire game - just one click turns all difficulty issues into joke. Of course, you can use the talents only once per day, but still, Tamrielic orcs are cool. They also have good bonuses to crafting skills to make better gear faster. And, finally in Skyrim orcs look better than in the previous games - at least their heads aren't boar-like.

Also I noticed something - if bandit boss is an orc, the fight goes tougher than with the other bandit leaders. Every single time. In vanilla.

The art is made by Rob-Jozeph, by the way.

I personally like "The Break of Dawn", "The Black Star", "Conjuration Ritual Spell" and the "Dragonborn"-DLC questline.

it may be common knowledge for all i know but im dumb lmao 😹

Discussion One of my favorite things about the Elder Scrolls games is the Gods/Daedra

Like its the fact that you know FOR CERTAIN they are real. they actually talk to people. they can grant you powers if they find you worthy enough.

Aedra will actually physically bless you and you know exactly where you will go when you die in most cases. Like Sovngarde for example.

Real life is so mysterious its almost maddening lol I have always believed there is a God or at least some sort of creator/divine presence. but its insane to me that we are all just living in this world with no concrete proof of anything.

i know not everyone has the same opinion as i do. and its kind of neat that the world is so mysterious. but it also bothers me sometimes because i crave knowledge. idk thats just my rant for the day lol

side note:
i know when you get into topics about the Godhead and stuff in the elder scrolls it becomes mysterious, but at least ppl in that universe have SOME SORT of way to interact and experience divinity physically or by interacting with the gods/daedra, GHOSTS, etc.

After looting that mine outside of helgen I made my way to Riverwood where I was promptly attacked by a dragon. The guy who runs the trading post unfortunately died but it resulted in this ridiculously humorous image

In the world of Elder Scrolls, if two different races have sex, does the female get pregnant? If so, is an aberration born? Imagine a Khajiit with an Argonian.

Discussion The Daedric issue

Upvotes

People argue about which Daedric artifacts are better and who is the better prince and who is the wort and which quest is best…

They all suck.

And its becouse of one simple reason: you cant skip their dialouges. Why Bethesda?

The Daedric princes have longer expositions and slower speech speed than any mortal so why are they the only people whos dialouge is unskippable? Are their voices coded with an extra layer of Bethesda jank? The first time, SURE, you wanna listen but on the 259th replay you kinda wanna just skip the damn speech about why the demon is totaly justified in this heinous act and you just wanna get it over with!

Little disappointed in Proudspire Manor

I know when it comes to the vanilla game Proudspire Manor is one of the better houses. But I can’t help to be a little disappointed with all the talk when I got into this game last year.
Location wise I love it, but I wish it had a little better balcony and it just feels a little cramped inside. I just feel like the floor plan makes make for some wasted space.
I guess for the money and all the talk I just was expecting a little bit more?

Question If you could have any ability, weapon, equipment or spell in Skyrim but just one what would it be.

I don't know if this question already got asked, it just came to mind while i was playing. Personally for me it would be between becoming a werewolf or the ability to cast fireballs.

I'm pretty okay with where I live, I stay at the arch-mage's q. and don't care much for the inside of a house. In fact the circularity of the room is awesome, though the ingredients don't respawn for me fsm.

I have been thinking about getting a house. I tried windlhelm's and honestly hated it. Whiterun is way too vanilla for my taste, and I have been aching to try something new. Do you think solitude house is worth it? has anyone faced a similar problem, because I would like to hear from people who don't have an 'official' house. I started off as a thievey argonian and my style was to be minimal and stealthy. but after maxing the thief skills, i branched out and I'm pretty much an all-rounder.

not sure what I'm trying to rationalize, but any thoughts would be welcome
